I photographed a wedding at Nicky's Coal Fired The Maxwell Room for the first time this July. I have eaten at the restaurant before but all of my expectations were exceeded for how they were able to host & accommodate a wedding reception. The team was incredibly helpful, kind, and communicative with both myself and the other vendors. The venue has a unique and intimate feel that's a perfect option within the city of Nashville without your guest having to Uber/travel far from downtown. The food was the best wedding food I have ever had, and the bar options for guests were high-class, going well beyond the typical beer and wine offerings. I cannot wait to work at Nicky's again!

I came. I saw. I blacked out from burger-induced euphoria. I don’t know what sorcery you're performing in that kitchen, but I bit into a Texan Burger and suddenly remembered all my childhood dreams. The patty was so juicy I almost called my therapist mid-bite to talk about how I’d just experienced true love for the first time. Let’s not even talk about the milkshake because I’m still emotionally recovering. It didn’t feel like dessert. It felt like a life event. I had the Cookies ’n Cream Supreme and it should honestly come with a commemorative plaque and a warning label: “May cause spontaneous joy, ugly happy crying, and/or marriage proposals.” None of this would’ve been possible without Sophie, the event planning queen. From the very first message, she was a total rockstar — quick to respond, incredibly kind, and somehow made the whole process feel easy. She took every detail in stride, anticipated what we needed before we even said it, and was a total sweetheart. In conclusion: if you haven't eaten here yet, fix your life. Black Tap, you’re not just a restaurant — you’re a spiritual awakening sandwiched between brioche buns.

We hosted our rehearsal dinner and welcome party at Liberty Common this past May, and it was a dream! We searched for the right place for ages. We started with a sit down dinner for 60ish and then opened it up for a welcome party for 175ish… it was perfect. Graham and his whole team were incredible to work with, with food and cocktails were amazing, and the venue itself is just beautiful… we felt like we were tucked into a chic Parisian cafe.
