“I recently had the pleasure of getting new-to-me services at Alder: my wedding hair (Kristen) and makeup (Anne). Two of my bridesmaids and also my mom (she was with Kayleigh) had their hair and/or makeup here.
For my makeup trial, I had no clear idea what I wanted. The trial was fine, but afterwards I realized I didn’t love it and Anne was very gracious about letting me do another trial, and made me feel 0 guilt about it, and as the person who is forever convinced that I’m a burden, I am so, so grateful for that. Second trial went great and I loved the look. Felt very much like myself but better!
For hair, I had a particular look in mind, and the trial went amazing and was everything I wanted!
My actual wedding day was on a weekday and my party was small, so our hair and makeup were done at Alder (they will go on site if you have a minimum number of people) which was a relief to me because my venue’s getting ready area was not well lit, and Alder’s decor is always on point. We had some hiccups about appointment time (I forgot to factor in the fact that my venue was an hour away from the studio and my bridesmaids scheduled independently) but Kristen, Anne, and the Alder team were accommodating and again, didn’t make me feel like a burden even though I 100% should have scheduled all the appointments at the same time to avoid that problem in the first place. I’m not perfect! They even let us bring in breakfast while getting ready and it was just an all around good time. I felt like a princess, and my bridesmaids and mom looked so gorgeous!.”
