I was looking around to do an elopement package and Sally Anne at Lefay Cottage helped to create a simple package that included a stay at the cottage, celebrant to officiate the ceremony, small cake, flowers (bouquet and boutonnière) and photography by Viktoria Naifeh in the mountains within Shenandoah National Park. Sally Anne came by the day of check-in to go over the accommodations and the options we could use for the ceremony. She also left us a welcomed bottle of Prosecco and a card which was very kind. Everyone involved showed up on time and were great to work with. The cake was delivered the day before and the flowers were delivered before the ceremony. The photographer showed up early and tried to catch photos while the sun was out which was really thoughtful and appreciated, since the weather had its own vision that day. The ceremony took place outside in the yard of the cottage using the provided arch. If planning to use again, I’d bring decorations to liven up the ceremony arch. There were a few notes to be mindful of since the cottage is located near the mountains. There was a lack of phone signal depending on your provider, but wifi was provided at the cottage. Additionally, there were some bugs, to be expected in an area like that but be prepared if you are allergic to wasp in the area. Overall had a great experience with Lefay for our simple wedding ceremony and would highly recommend the photographer!
