About this venue

The Trellis is located in Front Royal, Virginia, within walking distance of historic downtown—full of small-town charm, local shops, and great dining. Our property dates back to the 1940s and was fully renovated in 2023 by Shelly Cook into a one-of-a-kind event venue and luxury Airbnb. The property features five private cabins, a main house with three bedrooms, a ceremony gazebo, outdoor fireplace and kitchen, and a tent pad with a seasonal 30' x 50' white top tent. We also provide 100 chairs and 12 tables for your event. The Trellis is best described as “Airbnb meets event venue”—a unique, non-cookie-cutter space designed to feel like your home away from home for the weekend. One of the things our couples love most is the flexibility—we allow you to bring in your own food and beverages, and we’re always happy to share vendor recommendations if helpful.

The Main House serves as a sophisticated hub, featuring a cozy dining room and a warming kitchen ideal for catering. For a relaxed vibe, the outdoor fireplace and lounge area provide an inviting spot for cocktail hour or s'mores. Guests can retreat to the five Cobblestone Cottages, each boasting luxury showers and private fire pits for the ultimate stay.

We say 16! However, we think it is easier to share the breakdown of the bedrooms and let you decide. There are 3 bedrooms with king beds in the main house, with the addition of a twin-size window bed in one of the upstairs bedrooms. Cabins 1, 3, 4, and 5 have king-size beds and Cabin 2 has a queen-size bed.

Dogs are allowed outdoors. They're not permitted indoors unless they're service dogs.

We have 100 white folding chairs and 12 8-foot rectangular tables.

Unfortunately, we cannot allow early check-ins or late check-outs as we require our full scheduled cleaning time to ensure that The Trellis is up to our cleanliness standards. Please review your contract for your allotted time and keep in mind that includes time for decorating and clean up.

No, you can bring your own vendors, but we are happy to make recommendations.

Yes, we recommend renting a tent. We have already worked with most tent companies in the area and they know the size of the space, but in our opinion a 30 X 60 works best and allows the tents to "overflow" a little bit, maximizing the space. Tent companies are welcome to stake into the grass.

Please check with us first. Most likely, yes! We try to be accommodating, but it will depend on our event schedule.

We provide toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags for our overnight guests, but we do not provide them for a large event.

Smoking is allowed OUTDOORS. If we find cigarettes on the ground, it will result in a $200 fee to the card on file.
