“We chose The Estate at Sweetwater Creek for our wedding and honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the first conversation, Allie and her team were responsive, kind, and always one step ahead of what we needed. They really fought for us to have the outdoor ceremony we wanted, even when the weather wasn't cooperating, they really cared, but we decided to have it inside with the door open and it was Magical! The sun started breaking through, birds were chirping. They answered every single question we threw at them. The venue itself is breathtaking with gorgeous grounds and thoughtful details everywhere you look. Allie was professional yet joyful to work with, and the whole team made us feel so comfortable throughout the entire planning process. We had everything we needed for our perfect day, and we'd recommend them in a heartbeat.”

“From our first conversation with Angie and her team at Cherokee Creek Farm, we knew we had found the right venue. They communicated with us every step of the way and stayed on top of all the details that mattered to us. When we sent over our inspiration and highlighted what was important for our wedding, they took it from there and made it happen perfectly. The property itself is breathtaking with so many options for the ceremony, first look photos, and reception—the house is stunning and the barn is ideal for either setting. Kelly kept us relaxed throughout the entire planning process, and Angie even helped us book our other vendors to make everything seamless. Our wedding turned out better than we ever dreamed, and we can't thank the team enough for making it so special.”

“We got married at Stony Woods Estate during the weekend of Hurricane Helene. This storm devastated WNC in ways that are hard to put into words. Entire roadways, bridges, and towns were washed away, leaving communities isolated and in crisis. We chose Stony Woods because our families and friends were going to be traveling from out of state. Stony Woods offered the perfect setup. In addition to the main villa, the property has several beautiful/modern cabins within walking distance. As the storm wreaked havoc on the surrounding areas, 24 of us, including young children and elderly relatives—hunkered down at SW for 3.5 days, waiting for a safe route out. Despite the devastation around us, we were incredibly fortunate. Stony Woods sits high enough up the mountain that the venue remained mostly untouched, aside from a few downed trees and the loss of power/running water. The property became a sanctuary offering stunning mountain views once the storm passed. These moments of natural beauty provided comfort and healing as we navigated the chaos. When the situation turned dire, Kim and Steve stepped up in ways we never expected. They brought us vital supplies—diapers, baby wipes, food, water, and more. Their kindness and support were a lifeline while there. We had planned for a wedding with 75 guests, complete with vendors but of course, none of that happened. We didn’t have our full wedding party. Even our officiant, had no way of reaching us/vice versa. We didn’t know if she was safe, let alone if she’d be able to officiate our ceremony. Amid the uncertainty, Kim asked if we still wanted to get married and if there was anything she could do to help. With everything going on, the thought of still having our wedding seemed almost impossible. I replied, “We don’t even have an officiant.” To my surprise, Kim told me that Steve is ordained. She reassured me that if we wanted to move forward with the ceremony, Steve would happily step in. The morning of our wedding, everyone on the property—including Kim and Steve —came together to make it happen. My stepmother did the decor so we had them with us, My SIL did my hair in an RV outlet, and my MOH did my makeup with whatever we had. We used a BT speaker to play whatever songs we already downloaded on our phones. I don’t even remember what song played as I walked down the aisle, but it was perfect. For our reception meal Kim and Steve made a giant batch of spaghetti over their fire pit since we still had no power/were running low on food. Somehow, they also managed to bake a wedding cake—SO THOUGHTFUL. Despite the lack of vendors, guests, and traditional wedding elements, our people came together to create such a special day – a true testament to the power of community and love. The cherry on top? Our photographer, Ashley Sieg, miraculously made it to us with no cell service and no idea if we were still having a wedding. She captured stunning photos that we will cherish forever. Kim and Steve were more than just venue hosts; they were our lifeline during a harrowing weekend. Their generosity, resourcefulness, and genuine care made all the difference. From bringing supplies to officiating our ceremony, we couldn’t have done it without them. Stony Woods Estate is a breathtaking property. But beyond its beauty, this place holds a special magic. If you’re on the fence about booking your wedding here, do it. You won’t regret it! Don’t be surprised if Kim and Steve become a lasting part of your story.”

“TLDR - This is the best wedding venue I have ever been to, and I am so lucky it was the one we chose. If you're considering getting married here, DO IT! We were married at Henderson Acres on October 10, 2026, when heavy rain, wind, and chillier temperatures swept through the area. In the days leading up to our wedding, and especially that morning, I genuinely didn't know how we would pull off the outdoor wedding we'd spent so long planning. I was devastated, as I think any bride would be. But aside from marrying my husband, what I'll remember most is how incredible the team at Henderson Acres was. The staff went above and beyond despite circumstances outside anyone's control. The moment the rain stopped, they were outside moving chairs, wiping everything down, and doing everything they could so we could still have our ceremony outdoors. As I was getting my hair & makeup done, a very nice bottle of champagne was sent to the bridal suite, knowing how stressed I was about the weather. I'll let the photos we've received so far speak for themselves. It was absolutely beautiful! While our day didn't look exactly how I'd envisioned it, I was overwhelmed with gratitude for everyone who worked so hard to make it special. As someone who spent an embarrassing amount of time meticulously planning where everything would go for our cocktail hour and reception, I was especially nervous about moving everything indoors because it meant my plans went out the window. But when I saw the reception space, it was absolutely gorgeous. Somehow, the team made it all come together beautifully, all on their own, despite the last-minute changes. And I can't write this review without mentioning how stunning the venue itself is. The mountain views are breathtaking, but the house is every bit as beautiful. Every part of the property is gorgeous, and it truly feels like such a special place to get married. I don't think we had a single conversation with our guests where someone didn't mention how beautiful the venue was! We received so many compliments, and it made me happy knowing everyone else was just as blown away by Henderson Acres as we were. Our experience with Henderson Acres was wonderful long before our wedding day, too. When we booked, we lived in New Hampshire and couldn't visit in person. That meant Brett, the owner, received more texts, calls, and questions from me than I could count. He was consistently responsive, patient, accommodating, and genuinely wonderful to work with. Planning from hundreds of miles away can be stressful, but Brett made it so much easier. I also cannot say enough wonderful things about Brian and the entire team on our wedding day. From making everything come together beautifully despite the weather to the drivers who shuttled our guests from the parking lot in the pouring rain, every person played a part in making our day unforgettable. Their hard work, kindness, and willingness to go the extra mile did not go unnoticed. Every couple hopes their wedding day will be perfect, and sometimes that means accepting that perfect might look different from what you imagined. Our day would have been special anywhere, but because we chose Henderson Acres, it was so much more. We got married in hurricane-like weather, and because of them, I wouldn't change a thing! I will forever be grateful to Brett, Brian, and everyone at Henderson Acres for giving us the most beautiful wedding day. I truly cannot recommend this venue enough!”

“We loved having our big day at Weaver House. We used their full planning services and their catering. Alexandra is very easy to work with and is that calming presence on your wedding day! The venue itself if beautiful - we picked it partly because of the gardens outside since we love the outdoors and love spending time at our local arboretum. The catering was amazing as well - Chef Joey and Chef Brit take time to learn what you and your partner like and can put those spins on dishes you choose. The value is also great for the Western North Carolina area.
