Chicory Event Center is a new renovated event space in downtown Mishawaka. It features a main banquet room with seating up to 250, a private dining room with seating up to 25, and a Chicory Cafe with an beautiful outside patio. The main banquet room features a beautiful bar with barn doors, coffee bar, dance floor, and a chandelier. This room is perfect for your wedding reception, class reunion, birthday party, sweet sixteen party, retirement party, business conference, or networking event. Hosts have the whole space to shape: a main hall with a stage and dance floor for ceremonies and receptions, plus a second-floor balcony level and mezzanine seating that keeps guests connected to the celebration. We host weddings, receptions, birthday parties, anniversaries, showers, and community celebrations, seating up to 300 guests. An on-site speakeasy-style lounge is available as an added amenity for cocktail hours and after-parties. Our team handles setup, cleanup, tables and chairs, lighting and sound, and bar service, and we welcome your own caterer and vendors. Venue rental starts at $2,500, with most events around $3,500 depending on date and needs.

Original element of the 1928 Armory construction and subsequent Newman Recreations Center were incorporated into the even space renovation to provide the perfect blend of past and present.Iron-barred doors used to secure armers and thick concrete walls reinforced with brick to accommodate the National Guard Armory and shooting range lend a rustic industrial aesthetic. Wood from the recreation center bleachers line the dramatic bar and the orginial hardwood floor was dressed up to grace the ballroom. The vaulted timber ceilings and exposed truss work allow the dazzling period chandeliers an opportunity to lend an air of elegance to the urban decor.
