The Majestic Theater 's historic theater and ballroom is perfect for your wedding ceremony and reception. Edwards Place, built in 1833, was a social center of antebellum Springfield. In its gracious parlors Abraham Lincoln, Stephen Douglas, Ulysses S. Grant, and other Illinois luminaries gathered at elegant parties and balls. You, too, can have your special day in the same rooms where Abraham and Mary Lincoln were guests more than 150 years ago, now meticulously restored to the grandeur of their antebellum days. Edwards Place is available to rent for showers, weddings, and receptions – the perfect choice for a distinctive event in a historically significant setting. You can even include extra services for your event, such as the use of a piano often heard by Abraham Lincoln (and possibly played at his wedding!). Our rental space has three areas of possibility - the historic house museum, the grounds in front of Edwards Place, and the M.G. Nelson Gallery, a part of our parent organization, the Springfield Art Association, and directly attached by a doorway to historic Edwards Place.

Mad Art Gallery is housed in the former Third District Police Station, a wonderfully renovated example of 1930s Art Deco architecture nested in the historic neighborhood of Soulard. The gallery is an award winning venue boats 17,000 square feet of terrazzo floors and marble hallways. The former squad car garage is now a stunning 3,800 sq feet gallery space equipped with state of the art lighting. Everything that made this space a working police station still lives at Mad Art. The bronze sergeant's desk now serves as a bar, and the jail cells are not only conversation pieces but conversation places! Mad art provides everything you would need to make your event as easy and enjoyable as possible. Mad Art provides in house catering. Restored to its Victorian elegance, St Louis' historic Mahler Ballroom currently hosts events to remember including, wedding ceremonies, receptions, birthday parties, anniversary parties, corporate events, church services, fashion shows, proms, charity benefits and much more. The Mahler Ballroom has been revivified to showcase this architectural landmark. Karen and her team have stayed true to the chic style of the historic Victorian ballroom, while incorporating contemporary amenities, fashioning a premier destination venue and event space.

Gather your guests on our rooftop terrace – an elegant outdoor venue in the heart of the city framed by views of the Mississippi River on one side and the iconic Gateway Arch on the other. The St Louis Carousel is a wonderfully unique place in which to hold your special event. Our 2400 square foot gallery will seat 200 guests for a sit down dinner, 250 guests for a standing cocktail reception or 125 guests in a classroom setting. Out spacious patio is also available and holds 350 guests. The patio is perfect for an outdoor wedding or for cocktails and greeting guests. Parking is plentiful and the building is ADA accessible. All special event rentals include two staff members who will operate the Carousel during the contracted time.

The Cheshire is one of St. Louis’ iconic properties. Originally built in the 1920’s, it was completely renovated in 2011 with modern day conveniences. Located just minutes from downtown and steps away from Forest Park, Upstairs at The Cheshire boast an incredible list of amenities and services perfect for rehearsal dinners and receptions. For smaller receptions of 40 – 70, private dining or a cocktail hour is a popular option before heading to Upstairs or Boundary.
