About this venue
This is the first Opera House built west of the Mississippi river around 1870. We offer full packages and have published our prices on our website since we opened in 2010. The historical significance of the first state capitol with brick streets and a view of the Missouri river.
Chandaliers, hard wood floors and 16 foot tall pressed tin ceilings make this a beautifully unique space. Our warm and inviting atmosphere with historical tones, modern amenities and exceptional food makes this a unique venue you with always remember.

Baby Shower Planning Ease
We recently hosted a baby shower at OH Banquets, and I cannot recommend this venue enough! From the moment we started planning, Greg was absolutely wonderful to work with. He was incredibly helpful, professional, and made the entire process so smooth. His attention to detail and willingness to accommodate our requests truly set the tone for a fantastic experience. Greg made us feel confident that everything would go perfectly, and it absolutely did. The space itself is stunning and full of charm. The historic feel of The Grand Opera House, combined with its modern updates, created the perfect backdrop for our event. The layout is versatile and comfortably accommodated all our guests, allowing for both mingling and seating during the event. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and you can tell great care has gone into preserving the character of this unique venue. Another huge plus is the location. Being on Historic Main Street in St. Charles was such a treat! After the baby shower, many of our guests took advantage of the unique shopping options and quaint charm of downtown. It was great knowing we were just steps away from boutique stores, restaurants, and even the Ameristar Casino for those wanting to explore further. I’m so glad we chose OH Banquets for this special occasion. The combination of the beautiful space, convenient location, and Greg’s amazing support made it an unforgettable day. If you’re looking for a venue with character, elegance, and outstanding service, this is the place!
Gorgeous venue with GREAT prices!!
The Grand Opera House was the perfect venue for our Rehearsal Dinner. Greg, the owner was INCREDIBLE from the initial meeting until the night of our event. He was extremely easy to work with, laid back, enjoyable to be around and is very upfront about the prices and inclusions. With everything we got in our package, the price was unbeatable! We had about 50 people at our rehearsal dinner and there was still A TON of space for more! Every one of our guests RAVED about our rehearsal dinner and kept asking if it was the actual wedding... that is how gorgeous this place was and how amazing the food was! I would recommend The Grand Opera House for any occasion you may have for NUMEROUS reasons!
Perfect
I would highly recommend this event space! It beautiful and private and working with Greg was the best experience! It was perfect and exactly what we were looking for and hoping for to host our wedding rehearsal dinner!
