About this venue

Olde Wicks Factory Special Event Center is a beautiful event venue housed in the historic, century-old Pipe Organ Company building in Highland, IL. We have preserved the original architectural and artistic elements of this incredible building. The Beautiful and stunning stained glass, exposed brick, and chandeliers have been updated while still keeping the historic feel.

The Main Hall

Elegance in Madison County, Illinois.

Our Main Hall has an "Industrial Chic" look with more modern fixtures. This is our biggest hall that holds up to 500 guests. We have two bars and a large dance floor for bands and parties of all sizes!

The Grand Hall

Elegance in Madison County, Illinois.

The most elegant venue space in our building, the Grand Hall has beautiful exposed rafters and skylights, crystal chandeliers throughout, large windows, a 16’ stone fireplace, a bar, large dancing area and historic 1920s theatre organ. The space opens to the 2nd floor with a mezzanine for overflow seating.

The West Hall

Elegance in Madison County, Illinois.

The West Hall, built in 1906, features rustic original architecture with exposed brick, beautiful 100 year old hardwood floors, curved/exposed rafters and a 2,500 sq. ft. Dance Floor. There is also a Mill Room Bar for refreshments and a West Hall Courtyard for some usable outdoor space as well!

Gatsby Room

Elegance in Madison County, Illinois.

Built in 1906, the Gatsby Room is one of the most unique spaces here at the Olde Wicks Factory Special Event Center. For anyone who has read F. Scott Fitzgerald’s masterpiece “The Great Gatsby”, it’s clear that 1920s luxury was something to behold. We wanted to capture that same feeling in this room. This space features exposed rafters, brass chandeliers, 4 groups of tufted leather couches and other seating arrangements, 4 bar height tables and stools, 2 appetizer buffet spaces and a beautiful and well-equipped bar.

Stained Glass Hall

Vintage stained glass windows and beautiful exposed brick.

Built in 1962, the Stained Glass Hall is a space that has many different uses. This room was originally part of the Pipe Organ showroom in the Pipe Organ Company. It can be used as a wedding venue due to the inspiring impact of vintage stained glass windows. Or as a banquet hall due to its beautiful exposed brick and spaciousness.

North Patio

At Olde Wicks Factory Special Events Center, we have a stately and well-maintained North Patio space that is perfect for your wedding or event. It is a perfect spot to take advantage of lovely weather, and one of our most popular options. The patio features stamped concrete and arbor, a gas fire pit, outdoor lighting and mobile bar service to make any gathering amazing.

Description

We are booked for all Saturdays in 2024, and only have a few left in 2025. However, we do take $2,000 off for Fridays and Sundays!! You can use as much or as little of the property that you would like, but the price is the same and is yours for the day.

An Affair to Remember

The deposit is 1/3 of the total price of the venue rental (cash or check) due at the time of booking/signing the contract that is applied towards the balance. For smaller events in the Stained Glass Hall, North Patio, Gatsby Room or Bridal Suites, the deposit is 1/2 of the rental fee. (non-refundable). To reiterate, all "save the date" deposits are non-refundable.

We have 8' long tables, or 5' round tables. We have white folding resin chairs with padded seats that are included in the price of the West Hall and Main Hall rental. Our Champagne Gold Chiavari Chairs are included in the Grand Hall, and are also rentable for $7 per chair for use in our other venues.

For large events and weddings, you are required to use our Preferred Vendors, please see our current list of preferred vendors under catering. For smaller events such as bridal showers, baby showers, graduations, retirements, etc., you are allowed to bring your own food or hire your caterer.

You can BYOB in the Bride/Groom Suites while you are getting ready. We have our Liquor License through the State of Illinois, so no outside liquor can be brought into the Gatsby Room, West Hall, Grand Hall, Main Hall or on the North Patio. Our price is per drink, not per person, so you can set a budget for and Open Bar or have a Cash Bar. You can include all drink options for the Open Bar, or limit it to beer, wine, and soda — whatever works best for your budget.

Each venue space needs to be returned in the same condition you found it, with chairs placed on top tables and general cleanup of the area to include cigarette butts outside. We take care of bussing the tables for the night, taking out the trash, sweeping/mopping at the end of the night.

Yes, our insurance company requires all renters to take out a one-day special event policy that can range from $125-$175 depending on your insurance company.

As of now, we do allow open flames as long as they are enclosed in a glass container. That could change at any time if we have any kind of incident regarding open flames.

All events are required to end at 11:00 PM and must be cleaned/vacated by 12:00 pm.
