Built-in 1925, in the grand architectural style of Beaux-Arts Classical Revival, the Simon Theatre provided a splendid setting for many theatrical performances, film screenings and ballroom dances. The James Simon family commissioned Houston architect Alfred C. Finn, whose career included designing a number of prominent Houston buildings as well as the San Jacinto Monument, to design the theatre for the community of Brenham. Today, after a meticulous million-plus dollar renovation, the glamour and grand style lives on for future generations in the newly named Barnhill Center at Historic Simon Theatre. Our venue is nestled in the heart of East Texas and sits on a beautiful 5 acres — PERFECT for any indoor/outdoor event. Our Venue can accommodate up to 200 guests. And offers over night stays for up to 20 people. The Bridal House can sleep up to 14 guests which is perfect for the night before your big day!! And not only do we have a Bridal Suite for the Bridal Party to get ready but we also have a separate house for the Groom and Groomsmen to have their space to get ready. The Groom’s house has sleeping accommodations for up to 6 guests as well as games, outdoor seating area, and so much more!! Our Venue has a HUGE 3,000 sq ft. heated/cooled Reception barn which is perfect for busting a move on the dance floor and celebrating with your loved ones. Firefly Gardens is family owned and operated. We offer 3 packages. No matter which package fits your needs, we only do host one event a day as we offer a 15 hour rental of 9am to midnight. Our packages include reception chairs, tables, ceremony chairs, choice of 43 polyester floor length tablecloths, up to two bartenders and two officers for 5 hours, cleaning after your event, one staff member during the entire rental , event liability insurance, beautiful landscape grounds, and much more.

The town of Navasota was founded in 1854 and the tracks brought the railroad by 1859. One of the first buildings built here was a hotel, built by Ms. Louisa Loftin. She was quite the ambitious widow for a woman during the late nineteenth century. Conflicting research shows the hotel was either built as early as 1860 or as late as 1876. She soon met and married P. A. Smith and the hotel bore his name. At first, the railroad brought a great number of patrons, but, unfortunately, the Civil War brought the economy of Navasota as well as the success of the hotel, down, after only a few years.

The Hamptons Event Venue is a beautiful modern wedding and special event venue located between Dallas and Ellis County, just off I-35 and Buckskin Rd in Red Oak, TX.
