Adam Griffin Photo

5.0

West Hollywood, CA
  • Editorial style
  • Starts at $5,000

I’m Adam—a Boston native who’s now roaming around California photographing everything I see. When I’m not behind the camera you can usually find me in the kitchen experimenting with new recipes, sipping a dirty martini with friends, jamming to Taylor Swift in the car, or taking my rescue pup Ollie to the park or on long neighborhood walks. I got my first film camera when I was 8, and it was love at first sight. Capturing your story is more than just a job for me. From destination elopements to parties of the century, I've seen it all and love every minute of a wedding day.

Awarded Best of Zola
Adam's work was truly exceptional. He came all the way to Milwaukee to capture and celebrate our beautiful LGBTQ wedding. He was incredibly friendly, approachable, and genuinely interested in making our wedding day unforgettable. He was always available to answer any questions and quickly responded to our emails and calls. Adam was organized and professional on the wedding day, which allowed us to enjoy our special day without worrying about anything. Throughout the wedding, guests kept approaching us to say how fantastic our photographer was. Adam's talent and creativity are truly unmatched. His ability to capture the emotions and moments of our wedding day was incredible. He has an excellent eye for detail and can make even the most minor things look stunning. When we received his previews that weekend, we were brought to tears by how beautifully he had captured our special day. We are incredibly grateful to Adam for his hard work, dedication, and passion for photography. He has given us memories that we will cherish forever. Thank you so much for capturing our special day! - Mark & Steven.

Stephen Tang Photo

5.0

Pasadena, CA
  • Editorial style
  • Starts at $4,100

While some photographers emphasize their gear or trendy post-processing, I take pride in subject-photographer interaction - the relation I build with clients, picking up on nuances in pose and expression while we shoot, anticipating the viewers' response - because ultimately, that's how photographs that matter to us are created. I'm a native New Yorker who found myself relocating to Los Angeles and making it my home. Wherever you'd like to have your wedding, it would be my pleasure to be your photographer.

Awarded Best of Zola
My tango classmate once said that our instructor taught dance as if she were teaching math; the same could be said of Stephen’s approach to photography. From planning to execution Stephen was on top of his game. Starting from the initial inquiry he provided thorough responses in an enthusiastic and timely manner. I could tell that he loves doing what he does and is very excited to talk about anything photography related. During the planning phase Stephen provided input on scheduling and location selection. We must have exchanged a dozen emails on this topic. We also put together a mood board that consisted of: shots that I was interested in from his prior work, colors, what I liked and didn’t like about each sample photo. Stephen is an exceptional photographer. I love that his photographs aren’t as washed out or overly bridal bright. I wanted photos that weren’t just beautiful, but to have some richness and depth. Stephen checked all the boxes. Since my wedding was really an elopement + 1 guest, we had to be creative with a combination of wedding-esque and non-standard activities. On the day of, Stephen captured the candid moments beautifully, but he also directed us for some posed ones. Friends and family loved the photos we shared and commented on how natural we looked. I suddenly recalled Stephen’s remarks during the session: “no 90 degree elbows” “too maternity” “keep it PG” Looking at the photos now I do appreciate these reminders because it really helped us look our best in these photos that we widely distribute. With that said, Stephen is also very personable and easy to work with. We became increasingly more comfortable with him as the day progressed and that's reflected in our photos. Now that we’ve overcome the awkwardness of working with our photographer for the first time, we look forward to having Stephen photograph us again for our first year anniversary!

Hayden & Harlo

Palmdale, CA
  • Editorial style
  • Starts at $3,500

Perfectly Imperfect, for the madly in love. I'm David Scott Bowles—a creative soul who traded chef's knives for a camera lens, diving headfirst into the world of photography. For over ten years, I've been capturing not just pictures but tales—each click a chapter in a visual story. My style? It's a mashup of boldness and moody vibes, adding depth to every frame. My work's graced the pages of Shutter Magazine, Voyager Magazine, and even landed spots in the esteemed LA Times. From snazzy commercial shots to soul-stirring fine art and heartfelt wedding tales spun under Hayden and Harlo, my portfolio’s a colorful spectrum.

I really enjoyed working with David because he knows what he's doing. He's well versed with his gear and can easily come up with creative shots for the project. He's also very open to collaboration and suggestions from fellow colleagues. Not to mention, he's kind and amicable.

Brittney Raine Photography

5.0

Santa Monica, CA

**PSA: Please inquire via website instead of through Zola!** I'm Brittney, a wedding and portrait photographer from Los Angeles. I'm a houseplant enthusiast, traveler (no place is too far), enneagram 4, binge-watcher of The Office, ice cream lover, and introvert fascinated by human emotion + connection. Photographing weddings has truly been my dream job, and I feel so honored every time I'm invited to capture intimate moments in peoples’ lives.

Awarded Best of Zola
My now husband and I were VERY lucky to have met Brittney at a wedding for a friend of mine. Immediately, we were both impressed by her ability to be there to capture *every* special moment of the wedding. Her stealth abilities are unmatched! Seeing her in action at a friend's wedding was only a fraction of how impressive she was as our wedding photographer. She was exceedingly professional, organized, and knew the schedule of events on our wedding day better than my husband or I! Pair all that with a sharp sense of humor and AMAZING photos, we could not have chosen a more perfect photographer!

Let's vibe about what your day, and what's most important to you two to capture <3

Heather gave us a personalized and affordable wedding photography package. She was helpful, timely, and supportive during our crazy wedding day. So much went wrong, but our photographers and flowers were some of the highlights that made our day amazing. The additional creative touch Heather brought went above and beyond our expectations. She brought confetti into the desert to highlight some of our post-first look photos and she brought champagne for a champagne pop with our bridal party. These little details made the experience all the more enjoyable. She also returned the photos quite fast! We will definitely recommend Heather for anyone getting married in the future.

Kristina Lee Photography

5.0

Long Beach, CA
  • Editorial style
  • Starts at $3,700

Born in the desert (AZ Baby!) and relocated to the sea. I firmly believe that a good day starts with a cup of coffee and ends with glass of red wine. I own more jewelry than I do clothes and in my opinion, too much gold does not exist. My biggest passion will always be photography. I’ve had a camera in my hands since I was a little girl – I would even set up “stylized shoots” in my family’s living room that consisted of sheets pinned to the wall, my friends and fake flowers (embarrassing, but I’m not kidding!). I strive for those editorial, Vogue-like shots, but I really live for those private, in-between moments.

Awarded Best of Zola
I was referred to Kristina by my wedding venue's coordinator. I was having a destination wedding at a private estate and she had shot several weddings and shoots there before. Knowing that she knew the venue and seeing her work, I knew she was a top contender. Having great quality photos was hugely important to me, and that was something I wasn't willing to sacrifice quality on. Her style was exactly what I wanted—natural, soft, minimally edited, and not overly posed. However, a good wedding photographer is an investment, so I wanted to meet with her first. Luckily, she lives in the same town as I do, so I didn't have to travel to the destination to meet her. When I joined her for a glass of wine, we instantly clicked and I was immediately a YES. Before my husband would sign on the dotted line, he wanted to meet her as well. We met for a 2nd time, all three of us, and he also loved her right away. Having that connection to a photographer is SO important to make you feel comfortable throughout the event and truly trust them (photos are awkward, right?). The day could not have run more smoothly, thanks in large part to Kristina. She made taking photos fun for everyone and our bridal party also fell in love with her. Aside from being fun and personable, she was professional and kept us on a tight timeline. She also made sure we fit everything in on my wishlist: first look, first look with my dad, bridal party photos, family photos, table photos, dancing, the hora...didn't miss ANYTHING. I'm so in love with my photos from that day and so happy to have those lifelong memories. Since then, she's become a great friend. Anytime I want photos taken for a life event, I will ONLY use her. She's taken family holiday photos, photos of my pups, professional photos for my husband, and I will keep using only her for family photos in the future.
