The Flower Spot
Rating: 5.0 (34 reviews)
·Ratings include Zola and Google reviews
  • Starts at $1,050
  • Serves Matinicus, ME

The Flower Spot is a small floral studio in Richmond, Maine, owned and designed by Anne Clark. We work from the ground floor of a circa-1854 house on the Kennebec River — the same house that hosts intimate weddings out back. Anne designs every wedding herself. No account manager, no template package menu, no upsell script. You tell her what you love — a color, a photo, your grandmother's garden — and she builds outward from there. Bouquets, boutonnieres, ceremony arches, aisle florals, centerpieces, cake flowers, and installations. Whether it's one bouquet or every table in the room, the care is exactly the same.

“I Loved all of the floral arrangements. Just what I wanted. They did outstanding with communications, details, everything. I loved everything. Thank you for everything!! Highly recommend! Got many reviews/comments from the guests”

I have a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Maine in Business and Marketing and have worked in the floral/ horticulture industry for 30 years. Flowers have always been my passion and bringing someone’s vision to life is of utmost importance. Event design and execution is my strong point. Our team of creative floral designers work closely with the me and the couple to create your floral concept and overall vision.

“can’t recommend Flowers by Hoboken enough for all your flower needs. I got married in August 2024 in Bar Harbor, ME and choosing Flowers by Hoboken was one of the easiest decisions. Lisa made the process so easy and enjoyable. She looked at my inspiration through Pinterest, Instagram, and her own previous clients and put together a unique and beautifully thought out proposal. I ended up adding more flowers last minute and Lisa made it very easy to do so. She also sourced a lot of our flowers locally which was really special. Our flowers were better than we could have ever imagined. It was such a pleasure working with Lisa and her team for our wedding flowers and I would recommend them over and over again. Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers
Rating: 4.9 (106 reviews)
  • Starts at $350
  • Serves Matinicus, ME

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

“Flower Moxie - Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers provided an outstanding, ongoing, easy, and reliable experience for our wedding. Their communication was transparent, and they clearly cared about ensuring the success of our DIY floral arrangements. The flowers arrived on time, and the step-by-step email directions and tutorials made the preparation process a breeze. I had no casualties, and the flowers turned out beautifully - I was preparing for a 5% loss but everything worked perfectly! I highly recommend Flower Moxie for couples looking for a hassle-free, high-quality DIY **note dahlias in photos are from a local farm”

The Faux Bouquets
Rating: 5.0 (43 reviews)
  • Serves Matinicus, ME

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.

Awarded Best of Zola
“We were so delighted to use The Faux Bouquets for our wedding. We ended up having a family emergency that forced us to downsize the size and budget of the wedding just a few months before the wedding, and the team at TFB were so accommodating and helped us to find a solution that still allowed us to use their flowers in our (modified) ceremony. We were a bit concerned about the flowers getting smushed in shipping, but they arrived looking absolutely STUNNING and with plenty of time before the big day. Even my gardener of a grandma couldn't tell they weren't real flowers! We were so happy with how everything looked on the day, and in pictures they look just as lovely. Can't recommend The Faux Bouquets enough! There's no visual difference compared to real bouquets and they are much more affordable. The last big selling point that I would advise future brides, and I did not really consider this, is that because the flowers don't wilt, we could set the decor out the night before--which is a LIFESAVER to not have to worry about on the special day! Anything that will save you time and stress on the day of the wedding is a big win!”

“Jen is incredible and worth every penny! My husband and I weren't very sure about how we wanted our wedding florals to look. We also didn't want to spend thousands of dollars on flowers that would only last a day. We stumbled upon wood flowers and discovered Wood and Word Blooms! Working with Jen was wonderful and seamless. She helps you every step of the way to figure out what you would like. The DIY class was so much fun, and we were able to build all of our centerpieces, boutonnières, and bouquets. Jen also built my cascade bouquet and beautiful garland for us! Everything came out so beautifully and was perfect for our day. Thank you Jen!”

The Flower Dude
Rating: 5.0 (27 reviews)
·Ratings include Zola and Google reviews
  • Starts at $1,000
  • Serves Matinicus, ME
  • Offer

I'm Don Clark. I run The Flower Dude, a studio wedding florist in Portland, Maine. Studio means no retail shop, and that's the point. Instead of a cooler full of roses that flew up from Miami last week, I work from three gardens in Cape Elizabeth and Kennebunk — so from June through late September, your flowers are cut the morning you get married. I arrange everything myself, then deliver and set it up: bouquets, boutonnieres, arches, reception tables, all of it. Personal and personalized.

“From our first conversation, we knew The Flower Dude was the right choice for our wedding. Donald was responsive to our ideas and genuinely invested in understanding what we wanted—he didn't just listen, he collaborated with us every step of the way. Flowers were a top priority for us, and he created the floral arrangement of our dreams with stunning displays throughout the ceremony, reception tables, and every corner in between. His attention to detail and high-quality work exceeded all of our expectations. Donald captured our vision perfectly and delivered above and beyond what we envisioned for our special day. We can't thank him enough for making our flowers so beautiful.”

Little Blooms
Rating: 5.0 (24 reviews)

I started my business in 2018, after I finished floral design classes from Cass School of Floral in Watertown, MA. I have had hands on experience from Floral Arts in Westford, MA and have completed over 75 weddings in my time as a floral designer. I have a little intern named Larry, a corgi-pit mix, who is the model for Little Blooms, who you will see a lot of on Instagram. I love using locally grown flowers as much as I can in my work, to really showcase 'farm to florist'.

Awarded Best of Zola
“Working with Little Blooms for our wedding florals was such a joy. I wish we could do it all over again tomorrow! Danielle was so easy to chat with along our planning journey and took the time to create the perfect floral game plan for our special day. She was patient and flexible as our plans evolved, took our floral inspiration and put an even more gorgeous spin on it, and brought so much life and magic to our wedding space. It truly felt like we were planning with our best friend who was honest about what would work/what wouldn't look so great while helping us stay within budget and maximize the look and feel of our florals. We couldn't have imagined a more beautiful day if we tried! We're so grateful for Danielle's incredible work and highly recommend Little Blooms to any couple looking for a top-notch florist experience.”

“The flowers (on our order) came in large boxes, but they were not labeled, so it took a minute to get the flowers both identified and properly set up. To be fair we were warned about the process, but not about the length of time due to our inexperience. As a note, it took my fiancé 5 hours to process the flowers when first receiving them. I also did not have any updates from them from the time I ordered till they were being shipped. They were beyond more affordable compared to other florists, and the flowers arrived alive and in good spirits. We were able to keep the flowers alive for over four days!! Many of the flowers that we chose did not have specific instructions, so we had to follow the general reference for the flowers and hope for the best. Additionally, some of the flowers that we wanted were not in stock, and they were replaced for us with substitutes but were not notified until we had all of the flowers already delivered to us. Also, as a note, bloom culture uses third party sellers for their flowers, so the quality may vary depending on location. Our flowers were in good condition, and the company we had clearly took good care of the flowers prior to delivering them to us. Would we do it again? Probably not, but it made for good laughs and bonding time and we have stories to tell from it!”

“It's hard to put into words how talented and wonderful Tess was to work with. When we first connected, I was immediately drawn to her vision, how collaborative it felt she was, and how she was willing to work with me on planning a less traditional wedding weekend. Aside from some very general direction, I really gave her creative freedom to do what she thought would be best, and then her first proposal exceeded anything I could've imagined so it was a no brainer to work with her. The year of working together was just as great as that first interaction—she is extremely organized and detailed, takes initiative to handle things that were able to be taken off of my plate, and is just clearly so passionate about what she does, and that is reflected in her work. During the wedding weekend, she and her team took on tasks that were outside of what they should've been handling, but did what they thought needed to be done to make my life easier and to make the vision come to life. I was so grateful to have her around for the weekend. But above all of that, the flowers were absolutely incredible. I can't tell you the number of people—both who were at the wedding and who weren't even there—that approached me or reached out to me to tell me they were the most gorgeous flowers that they had ever seen. There wasn't a single person who wasn't blown away by them, my husband and I included!! Long story short.. work with Tess. You won't be disappointed.”

The Ivy League Wedding Studio Florals
Rating: 5.0 (6 reviews)
  • Starts at $1,800
  • Serves Matinicus, ME
  • Offer

I bring both professional and academic training to every arrangement. I studied fine arts at the University of Pennsylvania, an Ivy League university, and I apply that same eye for color, composition, and detail to every bouquet, centerpiece, and installation. Your florals aren't just decorations to me. They're a work of art, built specifically for your day. Wedding florals shouldn't force you to choose between beautiful and affordable. I've watched too many couples fall in love with a Pinterest board, then feel deflated by the quote that comes with it. That's not how I work.

“You can't imagine the time I went through finding and screening different florists. I chose The Ivy League Wedding Studio Florals because they responded quickly, were organized, and communicated with me exceptionally well. I had a beach wedding and was looking for a more unique type of table centerpiece than what florists usually provide. The Ivy League Wedding Studio Florals was able to capture my wedding theme perfectly. She was able to create 12 boat floral table centerpieces for our outdoor tables. Guests absolutely loved them and were really excited to take them home afterward. If you've been searching for a long time for a wedding florist, this is finally the right one. I know it was the best decision for me.”

Milkweed Floral Co.

  • Serves Matinicus, ME

Hi! I’m Iris, the mind, body, and soul behind Milkweed! As a lot of dad’s like to joke, my name must be a birthright into floristry. In all honesty, it really has been a constant thread throughout my life. From picking flowers in my mom’s garden, to working in a flower shop in Boston right after college, then tackling florals for my own wedding in 2021, and eventually freelancing for event florists around Maine - I fell head over heels for wedding florals!

Awarded Best of Zola
“Iris at Milkweed Design Co exceeded every expectation I had for my wedding in 2023! I love flowers and wanted a lot all over the venue, but I didn't specify know which ones I wanted. Iris created the perfect design that I was imagining but couldn't put into words myself. She suggested and constructed an elaborate show stopping floral installation on a tree welcoming guests to the venue and offering an unique backdrop for photos! The colors, textures, and attention to detail were perfection! Each arrangement completely transformed the space into something magical. It was clear how much care, creativity, and passion went into every aspect of Iris' work. Our guests couldn’t stop complimenting the flowers at the time, and to this day, it's the one thing everyone still brings up! If you’re looking for someone incredibly talented, hard-working, and thoughtful—someone who truly cares about her craft and the clients who trust her with one of the most important days of their lives—look no further!”

“The Creative Nature Florist was an absolute pleasure to work with for my daughter’s wedding. From the very beginning, her communication was easy, prompt, and professional. When it came to the flowers, Jennifer created beautiful centerpieces that were just what we had asked for and delivered them to the venue. “Working with Lorinda and her team was an absolute DREAM. My husband and I got married at Belle Mer in Newport in September and I knew I wanted beautiful and colorful arrangements - something that would really pop and would be so dreamy and different. Cue Lorinda! I cannot speak highly enough about her incredible work. From the first consultation to the final bouquet, everything was absolutely perfect. She took the time to understand our vision, offered helpful suggestions, worked within our budget and brought our floral dreams to life in the most beautiful way. The flowers were stunning — elegant, fresh, and beautifully arranged. The bouquets were exactly what I envisioned, and the arrangements at the venue were simply breathtaking. It was clear that she put so much thought and care into every detail, and it truly made our special day feel even more magical. We also did our tablescapes through her using her candles, vases, etc. All worth it! Not only were the flowers gorgeous, but the level of professionalism and attention to detail was unmatched. We received countless compliments from our guests about the flowers! Thank you Lorinda, for truly bringing our vision to life. We couldn't have done it without you!”

“Working with Elegant Blooms was a game-changer for our wedding day. From our first conversation, the team was responsive and professional, making the whole planning process smooth and stress-free. They nailed every detail. Our bouquets were lush and perfectly matched our color scheme, but the real showstopper was the floral arch. Guests couldn't stop talking about it and several people asked for their contact information before we even left the reception. What impressed us most was how flexible they were when we needed to make a last-minute change, and their setup was flawless. Elegant Blooms didn't just provide flowers; they created the magical atmosphere we'd envisioned for our ceremony. We couldn't have asked for better.”
