This place is the best!! From the very first meeting, to our wedding day, everything was absolutely perfect. When we had our first meeting to discuss the vision, LaNita understood exactly what it was we wanted, and prepared a brilliant proposal that included incredible descriptions that captured exactly the feeling we wanted for our wedding day. I felt so confident in the whole team there from start to finish, and it was so nice to not have to worry at all about our florals. They are incredibly full service, they included everything such as candles, vases, draping, and even better, set it all up and took it down. I also was looking to save money by reusing the arrangements from the ceremony in the reception, and they had the most creative ideas to repurpose everything. They also stayed to flip everything for a seamless day. The flowers were everything we dreamed of and more. I can’t say enough good things about LaNita and her whole team!

Plum & Peony

  • Serves Manhattan, IL

As a rising floral designer in the Chicagoland area, I specialize in crafting unique and captivating arrangements tailored to elevate any event. From striking entrance pieces to designs that enhance ambiance and mood, my goal is to bring your floral vision to life with precision and artistry. Most importantly, I WANT to make all your floral dream come true!

I’m glad I found Victoria! She made the planning process stress free and was very responsive! She was able to articulate the vision I had planned up in my head! She was friendly and super excited throughout the process. Even when plans changed, Victoria remained calm and flexible and reiterated her excitement for our day! I love that she offers the rental of pedestals and bud vases, as we preferred to rent those items instead of wastefully buying them. The final products themselves were magical! We got so many compliments on the flowers! She out did the vision I had planned in my head. I also loved that she managed pick up and drop off, taking another item off my plate for the day off! Support a small business and hire her!

We are so thrilled that we chose Petal Station for my daughter’s florals for her wedding. They were professional, responsive, and had so many fantastic ideas to help make the vision my daughter had come to fruition. From the zoom calls trying to decide on what types of flowers to use for bouquets, centerpieces, etc. to the actual wedding day (that had a couple of snags on our end but Kitty was so patient and accommodating), Petal Station was just the best. My daughter’s bouquet was exquisite and the bridesmaids bouquets were just beautiful. The centerpieces all turned out exactly the way we had envisioned. Thank you so much, Petal Station for helping our daughter’s wedding be the beautiful event that it was!

I had an amazing experience with my florist, Kim! She was so easy to communicate with and always quick to respond, which made the whole process stress-free. Her prices are very reasonable—especially considering how full, lush, and beautiful all of her bouquets and arrangements were. I received so many compliments on the centerpieces; they were absolutely stunning and perfectly full. My sweetheart table florals and bridal bouquet were everything I hoped for and more. I was beyond happy with how everything turned out—so much so that I couldn’t bear to say goodbye to my florals and had them preserved. I highly recommend Kim to anyone looking for beautiful, high-quality floral work and a wonderful overall experience.

Michaela Mantarian Floral Design Co.
Rating: 5.0 (2 reviews)
  • Starts at $7,500
  • Serves Manhattan, IL

To inquire, please visit my website 🤍 Hey friend, My name is Michaela and I am a wedding planner turned florist with a heart to serve Chicagoland brides. I’ll take inspiration from your color palette and dream aesthetic and turn it into an exquisite floral design that tells the unique story of you!

Hiring Michaela as our florist was one of the best decisions we made while wedding planning. The florals were the most important thing to me in our outdoor, romantic, garden-inspired wedding, and I had struggled to find a florist that was able to bring my more whimsical, organic vision to life. From the start, Michaela made us feel comfortable and understood. Her communication is top-notch, walking us through the contract process and timeline, offering phone and zoom calls, and sending over extensive informational packets. She took the time to truly understand what we wanted, and no request was too out of left field! When I asked for a ceremony arch that looked more like a bush than an arch, I was so excited to see exactly what I had pictured waiting for me at the end of the aisle on my wedding day. And while the florals are stunning, Michaela is a beautiful person. Our outdoor garden ceremony was moved inside by a storm that hit 20 minutes before it was meant to start, and Michaela and her team were there to adjust and beautify the new ceremony location so that we barely felt a change. She was there to support us and make sure we had the wedding we dreamed of, severe thunderstorm and all!

Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers
Rating: 4.8 (100 reviews)

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

This was such an amazing service! I had the pleasure of video chatting with Alexa, and she truly brought every part of my floral vision to life. We explored different flower options together, dissected my Pinterest board, and she helped me craft pure magic—all within my budget. The custom recipes she created were incredibly helpful and gave me the perfect guidance to DIY the flowers of my dreams. Here are some pictures of my bouquet, my bridesmaids’ bouquets, and the ceremony/reception arrangements. I couldn’t recommend Flower Moxie enough—and fingers crossed you get the amazing Alexa to help make your flower dreams come true too!

The Faux Bouquets was a wonderful florist to work with for our wedding. From the very first interaction, their communication was prompt, clear, and friendly. They walked us through the process seamlessly and the quality of their work was excellent. The bouquets, boutonnières, garlands with clip on flowers, and centerpieces had an authentic, natural look despite being faux flowers. Pricing is transparent and affordable, making it an easy decision to choose Faux Bouquets. The bright spring colors in the Garden Vibrance collection were beautiful, annd a perfect fit for our late May wedding. The order arrived with ample lead time prior to the wedding day. Additionally, the packaging was excellent, and their return shipment process is very simple and easy to follow. We highly recommend The Faux Bouquets to any couple planning their wedding.

My experience with YJDecorating was nothing but positive. I worked directly with Yvonne and she was able to bring my vision to life with my tight budget in mind. This company is known for their luxurious floral arrangements, but I let Yvonne know ahead of time about the smaller budget I was working with and she still was able to make my dream come true! I know nothing about flowers and trusted Yvonne to make our bouquets, ceremony and reception beautiful. Everything was stunning, simple and classic all at the same time, which is exactly what I wanted. Yvonne was extremely kind, knowledgeable, communicative and answered all of my questions in a timely response. She even let me come into the studio to see examples of what my flowers would look like. The team was professional on site and everything arrived on time. I cannot say enough how beautiful everything was! Thank you so so much for being a part of our special day. 100/10. If I ever have another event that I need professional flowers for, I will always choose this company.

The Local Petaler
Rating: 5.0 (14 reviews)
  • Serves Manhattan, IL

The Local Petaler is a wedding and event floral design studio based in St. Charles, IL. The business started as a part-time venture just over 4 years ago in my mom's garage and quickly blossomed (awful pun) into a full-fledged career. With at least 100 weddings produced under The Local Petaler and countless others worked on as a freelance designer for other companies, I've done a little bit of everything at every venue. You're in good hands!

Jen made our wedding more beautiful than we had ever imagined. She gave us a good feeling from the start because of how passionate she is about her business. She was very communicative and upfront with us about costs (no surprise fees) as well as with what was doable or not in our price range. We never got the feeling that she was trying to upsell us on anything which was a huge relief because that can happen often in the industry. She listened to what we were envisioning and gave her input in a constructive manner (some of our favorite parts of the florals were Jen's ideas), and she also was honest with telling us if something was outdated or wouldn't fit with our aesthetic which we appreciated because we aren't experts on florals! She gave us the great idea to repurpose the bridesmaid bouquets for the reception centerpieces, which was the best decision we made because it was more practical and friendly for our budget. Overall, if you're looking for a small business owner to brighten your day, look no further than Jen because she will put her all into making your wedding or event beautiful.

We hired Paula and Samantha pretty down to the wire of our wedding, but they immediately jumped in! We contacted them on Friday, and they had our proposal ready by Monday! Our flowers fit our vibe perfectly: I wanted something to pull from the venue's brick, but not look too "autumny" for our January wedding, and they nailed it! They look and feel like "regular" flowers, but they'll last forever and have so far held up perfectly! We're gifting a number of our pieces to our mothers and grandmothers as keepsakes from our amazing day, while saving the rest to display around our house! We're so happy to have such beautiful mementoes to remember it by!

Nicole is the definition of a true professional. She delivers exactly what she promises. The compliments from guests on our wedding florals were endless, and even now, people are still talking about how beautiful everything looked. If you’ve ever planned a wedding or a large-scale event, you know how overwhelming it can be. I spoke with several florists before finding Nicole, and the difference was night and day. One florist brushed me off because I didn’t know the exact flowers I wanted during our first call. Another abruptly asked (5 minutes in) if I was just using them to learn flower names before cutting me off mid-conversation. It was discouraging, to say the least. Then there was Nicole. From our very first call, I felt at ease. I wasn’t looking to spend thousands and thousands on florals, and I didn’t have a detailed list of flowers in mind—just a general vibe and some inspo photos. Nicole took the time (over an hour on our first call!) to walk me through what would fit that vision, approximately what it would cost, and how she could bring it to life. She gave me guidance with zero pressure, and that genuine care and clarity made her the first vendor I signed after booking my venue. What impressed me most was how she respected my vision. I only wanted simple bud vases and understated elegance, and instead of pushing me to spend more or upsell me, she embraced my ideas wholeheartedly and executed them perfectly. On top of that, her delivery and set-up pricing was incredibly reasonable, and worth every penny. (Trust me—you don’t want your friends or family worrying about logistics on the morning of your wedding. Let Nicole handle it.) I would hire her again in a heartbeat. If you want a florist who is kind, professional, transparent, and talented—look no further than Nicole.

Everyone at the wedding was floored that they were paper and not real. And having quotes from our favorite books to look at all day was just a memorable experience.

Darlene made it so easy to work with her. We first met over zoom to get a feel of my vision which eventually lead to meeting up in person. Darlene always responded to my emails in a very timely manner and always made sure that everything fit into my vision. Day of the wedding I was absolutely in love with all the arrangements her and her team made. I could not be happier with how everything turned out!

Working with Jessica and the team at Anemone was one of the highlights of our wedding planning process. From the very beginning, Jessica fully understood our vision (despite me knowing nothing about flowers). We wanted a timeless look with white florals and lush greenery, and she brought it to life perfectly. Every detail was stunning, from the elegant bouquets to the show-stopping hanging installation for our ceremony/dance floor that absolutely took our breath away. Not only did everything look gorgeous, but Jessica also worked within our budget without compromising our vision, a rare and much-appreciated balance. Beyond the beauty, it meant so much to us that Anemone is a sustainable vendor. Jessica helped us compost and donate our flowers after the event, which made the whole experience feel even more meaningful. We’re so grateful to Jessica and her team for helping make our day feel (and look!) so special. If you’re a Chicago couple looking for a talented, kind, and eco-conscious florist — look no further than Anemone.
