“Chef Shieya and her team could not have been more amazing. They are your best friend if you're a DIY bride! Before the wedding, she helped us plan and adjust our menu to work within our budget, and offered advice on how to get the most bang for our buck. She came up with an incredible off-menu appetizer (savory s'mores bite!) and gave me advice about what to rent and how much alcohol to order. We had kind of a challenging venue - all outdoors, limited prep space, limited setup and breakdown time, we weren't sure if we would have running water available - and the Kookery team knocked it out of the park. If there were problems on the day, I didn't hear about them! They responded to every challenge gracefully and creatively, and they truly went above and beyond. Also, the food was AMAZING. All my guests loved the food. And they had such fun personal touches! Each signature cocktail had a little custom stamp with our initials, one on the marshmallow garnish, and the other on the ice cube. These guys were truly the MVPs of the day. I went in with a budget and a vague idea, and walked away feeling like I'd had a five-star luxury experience. We couldn't be more grateful!”

“Since our venue did not have a preferred vendor list or a built-in catering team, we were given maximum flexibility (which is also intimidating, as the choice and freedom can be a bit overwhelming). To help narrow things down, our planner prompted us to choose a single type of cuisine that we like, and work from there. We both love New Orleans / Cajun cuisine, so enter My House. From their first proposal, we were all in. It featured childhood favorites like fried catfish, and out-of-the-ordinary passed appetizers like mini chicken & waffles. Our first calls with them were relaxed, collaborative and informative. Our first tasting, while kinda pricey (isn't everything?), went really well - and gave us a chance to provide more feedback and tweaks, which were promptly applied to later estimates and menus. As our planning evolved, it was a little tough to try to keep the budget in check, and it meant making some tough calls to cut costs (for instance - jettisoning late night bites), My House was always willing to work with both us and our planner on finding financial solutions - but there were a few moments where we felt like we didn't know what to expect, and stressed out a bit when we saw the latest numbers. I suppose this is part of the process for lots of couples. I never lost faith that they'd turn it out on the big day, and I'm happy to share that they did just that. They created an incredibly tasteful display for our buffet, which struck a balance between rustic and elegant. The staff was helpful, efficient, and professional - but I want to give special highlight to Simone. Simone was personable, diligent and intuitive. She knows exactly what she's doing, any couple would be very lucky to have her running any aspect of their event - because she does it with aplomb. The food was absolutely delicious. Big, bold flavors - zesty, crunchy, creamy, smoky, cheesy, sweet and spicy and everything in between . We loved hosting such a delectable menu that departed from the traditional wedding fare, but stayed true to the cuisine of New Orleans and the tastes of Southern comfort. So, so, so, so good!”

“We got married in Long Beach, CA on 10/12/24 and all of our guests said Summit's food was THE BEST they had ever been served at wedding! I cannot recommend Summit Event Catering more! Pamela Aki especially was fantastic to work with. We chose the plated option for a guest count of just under 160 guests. We found the prices to be reasonable as compared to other vendors, and the quality of the menu, ingredients, and overall taste to be outstanding! Additionally, Summit allowed us to make several reasonable alterations to our chosen package, which we were really grateful for, due to several guest allergies, etc! Pam was incredibly communicative throughout our entire working relationship and we are so grateful. She made the process so easy! “Above All Catering was amazing in making our wedding special, and a large part of this was thanks to Alicia. She was communicative and responsive throughout our entire planning process. The whole team was kind in taking time to answer any of our questions at any time. The tasting experience was very pleasant, we loved all the food (they let us take the rest home). On the day of, their service was professional and smooth, their team did an amazing job leading the buffet station. Our guests made several comments throughout the night about how much they enjoyed the mushroom fajitas, they were so tasty! We also specially requested horchata and agua de jamaica which were wonderful beverage additions loved by many of our guests. Above All Catering was recommended as a preferred vendor by our venue and remained the only catering option that was explicitly accommodating of a fully vegetarian/vegan menu as well as many dietary restrictions for our guests (gluten free and nut free options) which was extremely important to us. “We had the absolute pleasure of having Star Valley Foods cater our 20th wedding anniversary celebration, and to say they exceeded our expectations would be an understatement. From start to finish, everything was flawless. The food was not only superb in taste but also presented so beautifully that our guests have not stopped talking about the dishes, the attention to detail, and the way every plate felt like an experience itself. They took time to understand our vision and executed it with perfection. The night began with appetizers that included lemon-poached shrimp that were perfectly tender, light, and bursting with citrusy flavor. The stuffed mushrooms with pecorino and panko gave them a savory crunch that made them addictive, and the charcuterie skewers were colorful, delicious, and creative. But it didn't stop there. The Italian focus of the menu was nothing short of spectacular. The meatballs were unforgettable and seasoned in a way that had even the Italians in the room nodding with approval. Several guests commented that they were the best meatballs they'd ever tasted. The rigatoni with Bolognese sauce was rich, hearty and layered with authentic flavor, and the chicken cutlets with lemon and Parmesan were both stars of the evening-- so delicious that guests were going back for seconds (and thirds). To finish the night, dessert was a sweet surprise of tiramisu with whipped mascarpone and aginetti sprinkle cookies. Star Valley Foods delivered more than just a meal; they created an experience that elevated our celebration and left every one of our guests raving. Most importantly, the people behind this company are as professional as they are kind- genuinely sweet, attentive, and caring in a way that made us feel special and celebrated right alongside our guests.
