“I don’t even know how to start, McKenzie is just the best. She took our wedding photos and we have done two other sessions with her, and I genuinely doubt I will ever hire another photographer.
Kenzie is so easy to work with from start to finish. As far as planning goes, she saved me so much time and headache. I had a strong vision before hiring Kenzie, but she took that and made it better. We hired all vendors that she recommended, and I truly think that’s why everything went so well. She also helped coordinate so many of the logistics that I wouldn’t have even thought of.
Our photos are amazing. Every single shot. We’ve done stuff in the city, in nature, in the rain, in the dark, you name it, and every single photo is beautiful, sharp, and has this mysterious edge to it that I’m obsessed with. Kenzie also sends highlights the next day which is so above and beyond and also scratches the itch of wondering how your pictures are going to look. I seriously treasure these pictures and the hardest part is narrowing down my favorites to print or share.
The experience Kenzie provides is also so much fun. We crack up the entire time and it really just feels like hanging out, there’s no pressure and nothing ever feels weird or stiff or awkward. She has such an amazing eye and is able to capture so much nuance with every picture that you only feel like you’re doing a few “poses”, but end up with so much variety and uniqueness in the gallery. She seriously kills it every time, and she makes us feel so comfortable to be ourselves.
One thing I loved about our wedding vs. our more casual shoots is how much I DIDN’T think about being photographed on our wedding day. I am someone who is very good at being silly and extroverted in un-serious situations, but I was honestly worried about how I would feel having someone there in such an intimate setting. I literally wasn’t worried about Kenzie the entire day, and if anything her presence just calmed my anxieties. At the end of the night I was shocked at how much it felt like a wedding instead of a photoshoot, and I still walked away with, I think, better and more real photos than if I had been perfectly posed for hours on end.
