I started my business in 2010 and I have been fortunate to meet so many amazing couple’s who trust my skills to capture their story on one of the most important days of their lives! Being a wedding photographer is truly the most fulfilling career I can think of! From the very beginning, when I meet a couple for the first time, and continue through the planning process up until the wedding day, I am there start to finish. I love helping with the planning process as much as I can! Many couples ask for referrals and questions in other areas of the wedding planning process and it truly is so humbling that they trust my judgement!

I have valuable knowledge and have been coined a 'fixer' on wedding days because I can honestly fix anything under pressure! I have seen, heard and fixed it all! I want every single couple who graces my lens to be absolutely blown away by the experience I provide. It's like having your own personal friend, therapist, and wedding planner all in one! One of my biggest claims to fame are my detail shots. I am very detail oriented and will take the extra time to fix your hair, his bowtie, fluff your flowers, all to ensure perfect shots from the start! The experience I provide my couples with leaves them with memories that last a lifetime!

    Absolutely phenomenal!

    We LOVED working with Shay. From the moment I arrived for my bridal shots, she made me feel totally at ease. She was funny, easy going, and yet totally focused, and she knew just what to say to get me to relax. It was the same with our first look shots--my husband and I were so nervous, but Shay had us laughing right away. She took absolutely beautiful shots of us all evening. And the photos she took all throughout the ceremony and reception are fun, vibrant, flattering, and totally capture the happy, magical day we had. We really couldn't have asked for a better photographer. She was SO prompt, too, in getting our finalized images to us! And she's a kind, quick communicator. I'd recommend her in a heartbeat!

    Best wedding photos ever

    Shayla is amazing. She was very professional and the photos of our engagement and wedding were incredible. She traveled to Taos NM for our wedding, she arrived on time and delivered everything promised in our contract. Aside from being a kind and easy person to work with - Shayla’s photos are incredible. My wedding photos are absolutely gorgeous - they were best investment we made on our wedding day. She really captured the love, tenderness, and candid joy of our day. I recommend her to all of my bridal friends and will use her services again in the future.

    Best Candid Photos

    Shayla was the best photographer ever. We used her for our engagement, wedding and even a boudoir session after. She’s straight forward, easy to communicate with and you can definitely tell she loves her job. Highly recommended!!

    Shayla is so wonderful at making me feel so comfortable when taking my family photos. She makes it fun and also creative by taking us to different areas to get that perfect shot. Typically, couples book me about 12-18 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame.
Yes! Normally I always have a second shooter with me and an assistant who helps with bags, lighting, and social media.
Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. I also offer retouching services like blemish removal and teeth whitening for an additional charge.
Yes! My husband is an Emmy Nominated film maker and he does cinema work for my clients to create beautifully filmed works of art from your wedding day.
My turnaround time varies by season. Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 4-6 weeks after your wedding for off season weddings (Dec-April) for peak season wedding (May-Nov) you can expect anywhere from 8-12 weeks. Within this time, you can also expect to receive a USB drive with high-resolution image files, so you can share the photos with your loved ones and order prints.
You can expect about 80 to 100 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors.
I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.
In my 12 years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my contracted assistant. I’ll also provide you with a list of photographers from the many networking groups I’m in, so you can find the perfect replacement.
Yes! You can book a boudoir session, bridal portrait session, day after your wedding session, and honeymoon session!
My retainer is 40% of your final price to secure your day.
Yes! Most clients pay on a monthly basis. If you would rather not make monthly payments, the final balance is due 30 days before your wedding day.
