“My partner Sky and I had the dream summer wedding we envisioned at Seven Ponds. For our wedding we wanted to emulate these weekend trips we do upstate with a close group of friends and just make it bigger to include our family. Seven Ponds farm provided our two requirements of what we were looking for - a big house that could fit all our friends and a swimming pond right on the property. We also really appreciated that we didn't need to hire a wedding planner and could utilize the venues resources for all the planning aspects. We really appreciated how the Seven Ponds staff let us do our own thing throughout the weekend for a really relaxed environment, but then whenever we needed them they were right there helping with things like doing a practice run of the ceremony and answering specific questions about the house etc. It was also so wonderful that the staff were able to handle things like setting up the tables and the candles for us for the wedding dinner. Overall the forms and calls for the planning process were really helpful. We did have a little frustration at the wedding tasting as we thought it was an opportunity to ask questions about the food and overall found out that they really don't want you asking many questions and would prefer you to just read the written packet they provide without interacting in person with questions. I would also recommend being well versed on the packet you purchased as they won't be able to answer questions about what packet you bought. This was a bit different than we expected and knowing what I know now I might recommend not bringing family or friends to the tasting or otherwise just preparing them to just fill out the paperwork quietly as us not realizing this made for a more difficult tasting experience. There was also one staff member at the tasting who was a bit rude to our family members and I was so worried that this negative energy would be reflected at our wedding so I asked for a different wedding coordinator to lead our wedding. Overall the impersonal nature of the tasting also just made me really worried that the wedding would have the same feel and so I wanted to include this to note that while the tasting process wasn't as personal this was not the case at the wedding and the wedding atmosphere was really lovely. After the tasting I asked for Rosie to be our lead wedding coordinator as she had a much warmer energy and I can't recommend Rosie enough. She truly made our wedding experience. If you're looking for a wedding coordinator who has a graceful upbeat energy, stays calm and is easy to communicate with definitely ask for Rosie. There was a big storm on the day of our wedding and Rosie was so helpful staying calm and telling me to not loose hope about doing the ceremony outside. Morten was also really great with a specific weather device he had that allowed us to see when we had a good window to do the ceremony outside and very happy to say it all worked out and we got our dream outdoor ceremony. Overall I really got the wedding I dreamed of and we had such a relaxed and personal atmosphere. We really appreciated all the work the staff did to set up the wedding which allowed us to really just have fun, enjoy and not worry about logistical details. We so appreciated the flower package the venue provided for setting up the flowers and the bonfire packages. Overall we loved our wedding so much and are so happy we went with Seven Ponds! :)”

“If we could shout our recommendation of The Maples Estate and Katie from the rooftops, we would. Hopefully this review is the next best thing. Choosing The Maples Estate was hands down the best decision we made for our wedding, and we can say with complete confidence that that is because of Katie and Louis. They are genuinely two of the loveliest, kindest, most thoughtful people on the planet, and from the very beginning, we knew we were in the best possible hands. Our very first conversation with Katie was a two-hour call where we told her all about ourselves, our relationship, and the wedding we were dreaming of. She listened to everything, and the design deck she created afterward could not have felt more authentically us. Somehow, the wedding we had spent an entire year fantasizing about came out exactly as we had pictured it - which feels impossible to say even now. Katie and her team were so willing to make our wildest ideas happen, from having a coffee hour instead of a traditional cocktail hour to doing a T-shirt toss instead of a bouquet toss. No idea felt too unusual and no challenge felt too big. And somehow, despite planning a wedding for an entire year, we were never stressed. Not once. All year long, friends and family would ask us how stressful wedding planning was, and we genuinely had no idea what they were talking about because we were having so much fun. Even on the wedding weekend, when it rained, we were not worried because we knew Katie had everything handled. The estate and grounds themselves are breathtaking. Every inch of The Maples feels intentional, beautiful, and somehow perfectly imperfect in the most magical way. But what made it truly priceless for us was being able to spend Thursday through Sunday there and let our wedding become an entire weekend rather than just a single day. It was worth every penny and then some. We got to see both sides of our parents sitting together in the living room late Thursday night, just chatting. We watched our brothers and bridal party jump into the pool Friday night because nobody was watching the clock or worrying about where they had to be next. We got to wake up together, spend our days together, celebrate together, and simply exist in the same beautiful place with the people we love. Those completely unplanned moments ended up being some of our favorite memories of the entire wedding weekend, and they are something you simply cannot get from a traditional one-day wedding venue. The rain is actually one of the moments we will remember forever. We had practiced our rehearsal in multiple locations in case of bad weather, but Katie knew how much we had dreamed of having it under the trees. Rather than automatically moving us into the pavilion, she encouraged us morning of to have it outside and told us how beautiful it would be even in the rain. And then, as if The Maples had a little magic of its own, the clouds literally parted and the sun came out as we walked down the aisle. It was unbelievable. The estate gave us the incredible privilege of having our families and some of our bridal party stay with us for the weekend. Being able to wake up, spend the day, get married, and then end the night with all of our friends piled into the bunk room is something we will treasure forever. In fact, we would move into The Maples permanently if Katie and Louis would let us. (Please!)”

“We only needed to tour one venue, and it was Blenheim. After our initial walkthrough of the space, we were convinced that this was everything that we could want in a venue and then some. Having over 12 years of wedding planning experience, Min and Morten offered us assurance that our wedding day would be executed beautifully- and it was. The Blenheim family were incredibly detail-oriented, clear, and responsive during the planning process. They guided us through multiple virtual meetings, providing extensive planning documents to ensure our day would run smoothly. As a person that doesn't love planning, they supported me and offered suggestions- making sure that the day would flow effortlessly. Their natural, open, and beautifully rustic venue was the ideal location for our special celebration; the venue itself reflected us as a couple and we have not stopped receiving compliments on the venue and the attentive and personable staff at Blenheim. The food was absolutely delicious - our guests raved about the amazing appetizers during cocktail hour. We had many last-minute changes and the Blenheim team did not miss a beat in executing our every wish. When we ultimately chose to move everything inside, they transformed the space into something absolutely breathtaking. It was even more beautiful than we could have imagined and worked out perfectly. We don't have an ounce of sadness as the inside space is truly just as beautiful. The food was phenomenal, every single guest raved about it, and everyone left happy and full. The service was outstanding from start to finish. Totally recommend the french fry bar to end the evening! A special shoutout to Laurie, one of our awesome bartenders! She was incredible. She somehow remembered everyone's drink orders and made every guest feel welcome. Even now, people are still telling us how amazing she was. “When we first booked Glen Sanders, someone told my mother that Glen Sanders runs like a well-oiled wedding machine. They were spot on. Glen Sanders knows weddings. Every vendor was thrilled to hear we were working with them. They made the entire process so easy, so clear. Maki, our bridal attendant, was INCREDIBLE. She greeted us off the bus with our champagne flutes, made sure I was hydrated all during photos, helped me with my dress, and brought me down my sneakers at the reception, among many other things. Glen Sanders also sets up all of your cocktail hour Hors d'œuvres in a separate room for you to eat before going to your reception, and it was the moment my husband and I needed to catch our breath and feel "present" for the rest of the night. People often say their wedding was a blur, but we remember every detail thanks to that moment to pause. As for the venue itself, all of our guests still talk about how great of a setup it was. We got ready on-site (groomsmen downstairs, bridesmaids upstairs, MOG got her hair done in the salon downstairs), our cocktail hour outside and on the enclosed porch, the reception in the ballroom, our after party in the basement bar (Speak-easy vibes!), and then we stayed up with close friends and siblings around the fire until the early hours before going to sleep in our rooms on-site!
