Drumore Mill is a different world. It is nestled in a corner of the most rustic township in Amish Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The mill was built in 1752 as a sawmill and a grist mill. It sits in a hollow with 30 acres of tall cliffs and old trees to provide privacy, warmth, and natural beauties. There is a pristine creek that meanders through the property. The Fishing Creek supports native trout and other rare small fishes. The waterfall is adjacent to the buildings. There is a hiking trail within the property. There is wetland and much more. Drumore Mill was an absolutely stunning venue to use for our special day (really weekend). We loved the ease of booking the venue, touring with Thuy, and the promptness and flexibility they offer. An added bonus is the available on site lodging for rental, which we made great use of for our close friends, family, and wedding party to stay in the night before and night of the wedding. We enjoyed the Great Room in the Grist Mill for our rehearsal dinner. Our guests loved how spacious Drumore Mill was, and we appreciated all the attention to detail such as included (but still optional) decor and greenery, and the setup of chairs and other items for the ceremony space. Being able to bring in all of our own vendors at no additional cost was fantastic. The value for renting the property from Thursday to Saturday morning was unmatched and completely worth it. We would recommend Drumore Mill to anyone, and we look forward to booking the property in the future for non-wedding related stays with friends and family.

We had the most incredible experience hosting our wedding at the Carriage house! It has been taken over by Prime Hospitality catering who did an amazing job from start to finish! Our guests raved over the food, waitstaff, and bartenders! Katie and her team took care of every single aspect of our wedding which allowed my husband and I, our families, and our bridal party to be stress free and enjoy the day! I could go on and on about how amazing our wedding day was! Not a single thing went wrong, Katie and her team decorated the venue beautifully, the service was fantastic, and our guests continue to reach out about how beautiful the wedding venue was. It was better than I could’ve ever expected! I hope that the Carriage House starts to see an increase in weddings at their venue because they are truly amazing at their job! Katie coordinated and helped me with planning the wedding out from day 1. She worked relentlessly behind the scenes to ensure we had a great day. The food was the best wedding meal I have ever had and I’m not just saying that because I had my wedding here. The restaurant associated with the caterers “Brandywine Prime” makes amazing food. I will admit when initially wedding planning I was unsure of the carriage house due to the lack of online presence and photos of recent weddings. Our wedding took place at Normandy Farm and we chose to have our rehearsal dinner at The Farmers Daughter (on site restaurant). It was so easy having everything in one location all weekend. The food was delicious (Italian heritage buffet) and service was incredible! The orchard room was perfect for the 37 person dinner ! The Farmers Daughter also catered our wedding and the food was amazing!

Our wedding at Terrain Gardens at DelVal was absolutely perfect! It was a dream!!! I’m breaking it down below because Terrain exceeded my expectations in every category possible. I cannot recommend them and this venue more highly. Food: This was probably the most important thing to me and my then fiancé when picking a venue. I wanted my guests to say, “wow, this is the best food I’ve ever had at a wedding!” …Well, goal accomplished! I heard that multiple times and people are still raving about the food weeks later!! The cocktail hour was extravagant and extensive!! And the dinner did not disappoint! Dessert was amazing as well. I don’t know what else to say but it was sooo much food and sooooo delicious! Venue space: It’s spacious and absolutely beautiful. I had about 165 guests (176 is the max) and it worked perfectly! The long farm tables layout for dinner is stunning. The dance floor area is huge. The outdoor space is perfect and a lot of my guests hung out out there throughout the evening. They set up a bar and s’mores by the fire pits outside so it made the space very usable and welcoming. We had our ceremony inside because it was in July and I didn’t want guests to be hot and that worked out well, the front half of the room had chairs while the back half had cocktail tables set up where people could stand and enjoy their drinks during the ceremony - which worked great with the margarita greeting we selected! Wedding Coordinator: At Terrain included with your wedding you are assigned a coordinator after booking your date. I can’t tell you what an incredible value I felt like this was! Our coordinator, Matt, was absolutely amazing and there’s no way our wedding would have been the dream it was without him! Matt and the Terrain team went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and satisfied with everything involving our big day. We met with Matt every month or so leading up to the wedding and had clear things to work on, discuss, and decide for each meeting - this high level of organization made planning so much easier, more efficient, and more enjoyable! The day of we also had Morgan join Matt in coordinating, everything seemed to flow so smoothly and effortlessly and I know that’s only due to how hard they were working behind the scenes!! As the bride, I didn’t have to worry about a thing, they made everything go off without a hitch and took such good care of me! Terrain Design (Florist): I used Terrain Design for my florals and worked with Stephanie - I can’t express how impressed and overwhelmed I was with her and her team’s work. I am very particular and threw a lot of pretty unique ideas out there. I cried the second I first walked into the venue!! I was so blown away by the table settings. The bud vase and candle table scapes created the most beautiful, whimsical scene. Stephanie and her team worked some magic to deliver everything I’ve ever wanted but could have never envisioned myself. It still amazes me how well she understood my vision and made it come to life beautifully! Thank you so much Terrain for making all my wedding dreams come true, making my big day so incredibly special, and for being so kind and accommodating throughout it all!

I couldn't recommend this property more! Lori and Steve met us at the door and hosted an entertaining tour to familiarize us with entire property. I knew from our initial email correspondence which was prompt and engaging that I was going to like them and I wasn't disappointed. Stone Ridge Farm has been in their family for years and you can feel their pride and enjoyment in being able to share it. At the conclusion of the tour they relinquished the house to us and from that moment on we felt like it was our own! From the Carriage House event space where we held our rehearsal dinner to the actual barn where all of the rooms, kitchen and gathering areas are located every detail was considered. They even have a french bar, open mic loft and poker table! We received so many compliments from our guests about the tranquility of the location and how comfortable the accommodations were. Lori has done a remarkable job of merging the historical ties of the Pearl S Buck farm with a clean yet time appropriate design. You feel at home the minute you walk in and there are plenty of spaces to meet as a family or, alternatively, nooks to cozy up by yourself with a coffee and a book. Absolutely stunning with extraordinary service to boot!

Amanda Frangoulis, our event manager, went above and beyond to ensure every detail aligned with our vision, including arranging a private tasting when my husband couldn’t attend the quarterly one. I provided a detailed menu that reflected my vision for a fall rustic wedding, and the culinary team executed it with incredible precision. For hors d’oeuvres, we selected salmon deviled eggs, southwest crab cake bites, lobster mac & cheese bites, Caprese skewers, and Mediterranean lamb burger sliders with tzatziki sauce. Our first course was an unforgettable butternut squash sweet potato soup with pumpkin seeds poured tableside over butternut squash cubes—a show-stopping experience! For entrees, we had spicy honey-glazed panko-crusted salmon, apple cider-glazed chicken, and butternut squash ravioli with brown sage butter sauce and toasted pine nuts, paired with kale & apple salad, garlic Parmesan green beans, and sweet potato mash (If you ever use these dishes, you’re going to have to credit Barn on Bridge and me!). Guests raved about the delicious and perfectly executed dishes, and I was thrilled to hear the culinary team plans to adopt some of my suggestions into future menus! Thalia, our day-of coordinator, ensured everything ran seamlessly and went the extra mile by preparing leftovers for us—a thoughtful touch that allowed us to savor the incredible food later. I also want to emphasize that successful weddings are a partnership. Often, dissatisfaction stems from a lack of clear communication, but this team is exceptional at walking you through every step. They genuinely care about your vision and execute it with precision. I felt supported, valued, and cared for throughout the process. She instantly understood my vision and did everything in her power to bring it to life. She treated every detail with care and made me feel like my ideas truly mattered. The venue itself is stunning, spotless, and beautifully designed—but because I’m extra (and proud of it!), I wanted to add a few personal touches. I chose what I believe was called the Ultimate Package—which included early entry, access to the bridal suite, and a gorgeous presentation of fruit, donuts, orange juice, and water. On the day itself, Liz and her team ran the wedding like a perfectly orchestrated production. I honestly felt like royalty! From the first phone call, we just clicked. She was warm, funny, intentional, and felt like an old friend I had known forever. She brought such grace and energy to the ceremony—it wouldn’t have been the same without her. Liz even did the unimaginable: she literally stopped traffic so I could get the perfect street photo. I could go on and on about how fabulous the entire crew at Aldie Mansion was! From the first tour we had with Kim to our planning experience with Nicole to our actual wedding weekend/day with Desiree, every step of the way was done to perfection. Kim Bates was extremely helpful at the beginning, answering my many questions and preparing us for our food tasting and overall event planning. Nicole Potts was the best event designer we could have asked for. She made our day so special, and truly took care of us at each and every turn. Nicole’s attention to detail is unmatched - I truly never felt stressed, because I knew Nicole always had my back. We needed a few accommodations for some of our guests and she was more than happy to help out to ensure all our guests had the best time. Nicole and the team also made sure that our Italian Cookie Table was displayed and executed perfectly – not a small ask, and it was down exactly as we imagined! At our rehearsal and wedding day, Desiree made sure everything was executed to perfection. She continuously checked in on us to bring us food or drinks and make sure we had everything we needed/wanted. Because we didn’t do a first look, we weren’t able to catch our cocktail hour, but Desiree made sure all our hors d'oeuvres were in the bridal suite waiting for us, and made sure to give us time just us between the ceremony reception. It was so thoughtful, and we truly appreciated that time together (and the food). Speaking of the food, JAM catering hit it out of the park! Everything was delicious – we looked around at one point, and dinner plates were completely empty! Aldie Mansion and the team at JAM made our day so beyond special. We are so glad we chose this venue – it was an absolute dream!
