“We honestly don’t even know where to begin because our experience with this venue was truly unforgettable. From our rehearsal dinner at their chophouse location to our wedding at Flintrock Falls, every single moment felt supported, seamless, and so genuinely cared for. From the very beginning, everyone we worked with was incredibly kind, patient, and attentive. They walked us through every step of the planning process and made what could have been a stressful experience feel easy and exciting instead. We truly felt like we were in the best hands the entire time. The grounds were also absolutely beautiful and so well-maintained—it truly added to the magic of the day. You can even see in some of the images how perfectly kept and picturesque everything was, which made such a difference in the overall atmosphere. So many details were thoughtfully included with the venue—tables and seating, linens, a dance floor, and beautiful real plateware, flatware, and glassware—which made everything feel elevated and effortless. Their team also handled both setup and breakdown for our wedding, which was something we will forever be grateful for. That level of care meant everything to us. Because of them, our families didn’t have to worry about staying late to clean up or handle logistics—we were all able to simply stay together, soak in every moment, and keep celebrating the happiest day of our lives. And the food… it was absolutely incredible. We are still hearing from guests that it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had, and we couldn’t agree more. This team went above and beyond in every possible way to make our wedding feel perfect, and we will always be grateful for the role they played in such an important chapter of our lives. We truly cannot recommend them enough.”

“The Terrace at Highland Lakes was an absolute dream venue for our wedding. From the very beginning, their communication style was direct, understanding and open - they were always quick to respond to our questions and accommodate our needs. The quality of their work and value was exceptional. We had our wedding at about 4:30/5 P.M., which was a great time with the sun setting and creating a beautiful glow. The deer were outside watching it all, and the overall view was simply stunning. The inside was clean and open, but the best part was the bridal suite - it was the perfect space for us to get ready in comfort and style. Gabi, the day-of coordinator, was the ultimate MVP. She accommodated us with just about anything we asked for, constantly made sure I was fed and hydrated, and even stepped in to help my bridesmaids with anything they needed. She did more for us on the day than our year-long planner. I wish I had Gabi as my planner as well, because she truly made our special day even more magical. We are so grateful to the entire team at The Terrace at Highland Lakes for helping to create the wedding of our dreams.”

“Hilltop hideaway was a beautiful location for our wedding. The home was perfect to bring both families close and to stay and enjoy. The grounds offered several areas to choose from to have the ceremony. We got married in April which could mean rain. The venue had an option for an indoor barn style set up if we needed. Which has a kitchen set up to help serve. Overall we enjoyed the location. Communication with the owners as well as the grounds keeper was top notch.”

“This was the second venue that we toured, and the moment we stepped out of the car, we knew we had to book this for our wedding. Every inch of this place tells a story and has an amazing vibe. Matt and Renee were a dream to work with. They understood our vision and tried to make any ideas we had work. It happened to be the one time in Texas it rained for our day (of course!), but it actually turned out to be stunning weather. They were so fast shifting between rain and sun plans, still accommodated what we had in mind while also ensuring our guests were taken care of. They have amazing connections with people in the wedding business, literally every recco we went with they provided was perfect. I still am depressed about the day being over because it was just that good. I will forever recommend this venue - you truly can't go wrong.”

“Our wedding at Vintage Villas Hotel & Events was absolutely perfect. The event center had so much space and looked stunning, and the ceremony gazebo felt like something straight out of a fairytale. Samantha, the sales rep, really listened to what we wanted and helped us find the right package for our budget. The whole team was responsive and made sure every detail came together smoothly. One thing to know going in is that they work more like a venue planner than a full-service coordinator, so you'll be involved in a lot of the planning yourself—we're type A people, and it still felt like a lot, so if you're not super organized, definitely hire a separate planner. That said, they're totally upfront about what to expect, and we loved how much control we had over our day. The hotel made it super easy for our guests driving in to stay, and it helped extend the weekend of love and joy with our favorite people.”

“We were blown away with the waterfall terrace. This venue is great, especially if you're looking for something that's budget friendly. My husband and I were engaged for almost 3 years, so when we decided it was finally time to get married, we didn't want to wait very long to do so. We planned our wedding in just a few months. We wanted to find a venue that would host a good amount of people without breaking the bank. We also didn't want to stress out about decorating or making a lot of preparations. The waterfall terrace was great for this because there's a LOT of greenery, flowers, flowing water and beautiful decor already present at the venue. The bridal suite was gorgeous. The decorations in the room are simple but they go a long way in photos. The altar is already set up for you in the way that you want it before you arrive, tables and linens are provided along with chairs. There are multiple spots within the venue for gorgeous photos, especially on the balcony. It couldn't have been more simple for us. The host is extremely accommodating and flexible. She really took into account what we wanted and worked with us every step of the way. She was always willing to answer my questions and was readily available for phone calls or texting. You can't rent the venue for a full day, however, you can rent it for 4 hours or less and we found that 4 hours was stress enough time to do all of the traditional wedding things. We hosted a ceremony with 40 guests, did photos, dancing, food, cake, etc. We did have an after party at our house after our 4 hours was up at the venue, so that's something that other couples could consider if they want a budget friendly venue but still want to spend a whole day with their friends and family. Overall, I am so happy with this venue and I'm so grateful I found it here on Zola and I wouldn't change a thing about our experience.”

“We had our rehearsal dinner at Treaty Oak in April. We had about 40 people in the Mercantile room which was probably a bit too many, the tables ended up being placed really close to one another but we made it work. The planning process was a little difficult, communication was often delayed and made us a little anxious but once all the details were worked out the event went really well. The food, drinks and the environment were amazing! I would definitely recommend.”

“Rambling Rose Ranch was the perfect venue for our wedding! The unique, all-outdoor space is absolutely stunning, with majestic and organic landscaping that created a magical atmosphere. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how beautiful the venue was—and they especially loved getting to pet the horses and donkeys during cocktail hour, which added such a fun and memorable touch. We opted for the fire pit experience to offer s'mores for the kids, and it was a huge hit! Sandy and Morgan were incredibly flexible and accommodating, helping us bring our vision to life, including the use of confetti poppers. We also loved having the convenience of getting ready on-site in their bride and groom suites, which made the day stress-free. The outdoor lighting was just perfect, and with the addition of candles on the tables, the event couldn’t have been more romantic. The only required vendor is their bartenders, and we had a good experience with them. Sandy and Morgan were wonderful to work with—they were communicative, professional, and collaborated seamlessly with our coordinator. We couldn’t be happier with our experience at Rambling Rose Ranch and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and breathtaking wedding venue!”

“Amazing wedding venue with options for all weather & gorg photo ops. They’ve thought of everything! We used the chapel (added drapery to avoid backlit photos) for ceremony. It ended up being a little too hot for both ceremony and cocktail hour and everybody said they couldn’t believe chapel that was our plan B and looking back i’m so glad we did it! Cocktail hour outside was perfect and reception was a blast. Def get a partial planner since it’s not an all inclusive venue - you / your planner do need to set up catering, rentals, floral, and other decor vendors so having a partial planner (Cassie -Heavenly Day) helped make our planning and wedding weekend amazing. Make sure your planner and photog has worked at Ma Maison before so they know all the layouts/best photo spots! Loved that Ma Maison sent payment reminders and accepted online payment. Their in house rentals for dance floor, uplighting, cross, and stage made those rentals super easy! Had so much fun climbing bell tower and ringing bell to bring guests inside for din/dancing. Karen (owner) thought thru all the big moments and made sure a grand entrance / door / walk way for all of them! Made the day so fun and special. We added some white drapery, white tablecloths, white stage covers, and white dance floor to brighten up reception space and thought made a huge diff! Looked way less rustic and more bright ballroom. Only minor note on venue - Our wedding was end of october and grass was still a pretty dry from summer. Would be nice if Ma Maison watered the grass a bit more to keep more green during hot season. Ultimately that had zero impact on our amazing weekend /experience but if you’re booking a wedding during aug - oct know that it may be drier grass.”

“We had our Indian wedding in March of 2024 and it was a dream come true thanks to Hotel Viata. We had multiple events spread over a couple of venues but Hotel Viata hosted our guests the entire weekend as well as several of our events. We had a LGBTQ Indian wedding and they truly rose to the occasion. Our main contact Kelsey was FANTASTIC, but we truly received top notch service from everyone-from the folks that welcomed us at the desk to the bartenders and servers at our events. They went above and beyond to learn about our traditions and make each of events special. Honestly, we felt like extended family and our guests raved about the experience. The love, openness and celebratory affection they radiated our entire weekend…well that was priceless. Within their ability, they truly tried to make all of our wishes come true. One example of their kindness was when Kelsey went above and beyond and grabbed food for one of our best friend’s young kids…just because we wanted to make sure she had something that she would definitely eat. We’ll always remember our wedding with love and fondness….it was such a special time. And we’ll always be grateful to Hotel Viata for making our 20-year long dream come true. Highly recommend them for any of your special events.”

Venue considerations

“My husband and I found Allegro while searching for venues in the Hill Country, and Allegro had just reopened under new management. We scheduled a "sip and see" with venue manager, Amber, and absolutely fell in love with everything about it! This venue is awesome as everything is right there including bridal/ groom suites, some lodging accommodations if you need them, the chapel, covered cocktail hour space, and a large reception space. Allegro has everything you love about hill country, with lots of space, Texas charm, and natural beauty. Truly, the selling point was Grace chapel, where the natural beauty won us over. Amber and her team were fantastic throughout the planning process, offering us suggested vendors when needed, inviting us to open house/ vendor gatherings, etc. and allowing us to schedule an additional tour with our family who wanted to see the space as well. The Allegro team added a lot of really great options throughout our planning as well, including some decor pieces, greenery wall for backdrops, candle votives, and GOLD CHARGERS! It is also close enough to the hotels in dripping springs, so guests have options on where to stay. Pro tip: book blocks as soon as possible! Additionally, if you have a larger bridal party, the bridal suite is fairly tight for 10 people, so utilizing another space could be helpful. All in all, Allegro surpassed our expectations, and we could not be happier with how our wedding went back in October 2023. When I tell you to book this venue.. really, BOOK THIS VENUE, you will not regret it - with beautiful grounds and the most amazing team committed to making your wedding the best day ever. I am so thankful we came across Allegro and will recommend it to everyone! Side note: the venue is undergoing renovations currently which I think will somehow make this dreamy venue even more beautiful for future brides.”

About wedding venues in Lakeway, TX

Why Is Texas an Exceptional Wedding Destination?

Texas offers an incredible variety of wedding settings across its diverse landscapes. You'll find everything from romantic Hill Country vineyards to stunning Gulf Coast waterfronts that provide perfect backdrops for your special day. The state is home to countless venues that showcase authentic Texas character while still matching your personal style. Think rustic barns where longhorn cattle graze nearby or sophisticated urban venues with dramatic city skyline views that'll impress your guests. Many Texas venues incorporate unique regional touches you won't find elsewhere; live country music that gets everyone dancing, mouthwatering BBQ stations and custom boot favors that celebrate local heritage. Whether you're planning an intimate gathering or a grand celebration, you'll find Texas venues ready to accommodate your vision.

What's the Average Cost of Wedding Venues in Texas?

Wedding venues in Texas typically cost between $3,000 and $30,000+ depending on what you're looking for. The national average runs about $6,500-$12,000 which represents roughly 25% of your total wedding budget. Your overall wedding costs will depend largely on how many people you're inviting to share your special day:

Guest CountAverage Total Wedding Budget
50 guests$19,410
100 guests$32,365
150 guests$44,545
200 guests$55,433
250 guests$66,322
300 guests$77,211
In Texas specifically, venues typically account for about 16% of your total wedding budget with couples spending an average of $6,932. This gives you plenty of room in your budget to customize other elements of your celebration that matter most to you and your partner.

Which Wedding Venue Types Are Most Popular in Texas?

Texas venues offer distinctly regional experiences that capture the state's diverse character. Hill Country locations around Fredericksburg give you gorgeous vineyard settings with beautiful limestone architecture and sunset views that will take your breath away. If you're considering Houston, you'll find venues that thoughtfully incorporate bayou landscapes alongside sophisticated cosmopolitan amenities. Dallas spaces tend to showcase luxury urban environments with elegant design elements that create a refined atmosphere. Fort Worth venues perfectly blend Western heritage with modern conveniences for a uniquely Texan experience. November emerges as the most popular month for venue inquiries across the state, so you might want to plan accordingly if you're interested in this popular time frame.

How Far in Advance Should You Book Your Texas Venue?

Texas couples typically book their wedding venues about 16 months (or 457 days) before their wedding date. November stands out as the most popular month for venue inquiries so planning early is essential if you're considering this timeframe. This advanced booking timeline helps you secure your preferred date since popular venues often fill their calendars far in advance especially for prime weekend dates. Booking early also allows you to lock in current pricing before annual increases that many venues implement. Plus you'll have more time to work with venue coordinators to customize floor plans and discuss details that will make your celebration uniquely yours.

Where Can You Find Accessible Wedding Venues in Texas?

Madera Estates in Conroe stands out for its commitment to accessibility with fully paved event spaces that accommodate wheelchair navigation throughout the property. You can host up to 330 guests here and the venue is frequently praised for physically walking through accessibility needs during the planning process. You'll also find excellent accessible options at Jennings Trace near Houston which offers single-level celebration spaces. Hummingbird Hill Weddings in Chappell Hill prioritizes inclusive design throughout their venue and The Preserve at Canyon Lake features wheelchair-friendly pathways connecting all major celebration areas. These venues ensure all your guests can fully participate in your special day regardless of mobility considerations.

Which Texas Wedding Venues Offer Outstanding Culinary Experiences?

The Bell Tower on 34th in Houston delivers exceptional dining experiences under Executive Chef Sergio Arellano. His international culinary team creates gourmet meals on-site that will impress even your most food-savvy guests. Food-focused couples should also consider Steiner Ranch Steakhouse in Austin where you'll enjoy spectacular views alongside premium cuts of Texas beef. Cisco's Salsa Company near Tomball has built a reputation for their award-winning Mexican cuisine that adds authentic flavors to your celebration. Avenida Brazil Churrascaria Steakhouse in the Houston area offers a unique Brazilian steakhouse experience with tableside carving and a festival atmosphere your guests will remember long after the wedding day.

How Can Texas Venues Support Remote Wedding Participation?

For couples wanting to include loved ones who can't attend in person, several Texas venues now offer more than just basic streaming services. Venues like Agave Estates Mara Villa and The Middleton Venue in Katy specialize in creating interactive remote experiences that make distant guests feel truly present. You can work with these venues to design custom interactive elements that go beyond passive viewing. Think virtual guest books where remote attendees can leave video messages remote toasts synchronized with in-person celebrations and even coordinated dance moments. These thoughtful touches ensure everyone feels included in your celebration regardless of where they're located.

What Wedding Expenses Should You Budget for in Texas?

Beyond your venue there are several other key expenses to consider when planning a Texas wedding. For a typical 150-guest celebration your budget will likely break down this way: - Florists: $6,755 (15%) - Venue: $6,932 (16%) - Catering: $5,546 (12%) - Bar services: $4,437 (10%) - Photographers: $3,966 (9%) - Videographers: $3,555 (8%) - Planners: $3,768 (8%) - Bands & DJs: $1,299 (3%) - Cakes & desserts: $853 (2%) - Hair & makeup: $495 (1%)
