We are Carli & Hamilton Dixon, artists and business owners in downtown Dayton for nearly a decade, and residents of downtown for over two decades. The Brightside is located in the 905 E. Third Street building, which was 18,000 sq. ft. filled with abandoned clothes and trash when we purchased it. But over the last 10 years, we have worked to clean it out, restore all of its services, and renovate it to become Dayton's newest music & event venue. Welcome to The Steam Plant, downtown Dayton’s premier wedding venue! The former power generating plant has undergone a three year renovation preserving the historical charm while adding modern amenities for today’s discerning couples. We offer indoor and outdoor options and space for ceremony and reception providing numerous backdrops for photos. The Steam Plant's versatility allows couples to customize the venue and utilize the spaces to best fit their group size and vision for the day. At The Steam Plant couples can enjoy "one stop shop" by utilizing the Bridal Suite and Groom's Lounge for wedding day preparations. Standing the test of time since the 1800’s, the Baum Opera House has played a significant role in the life and history of Miamisburg. Constructed by Charles Baum, a German immigrant and businessman, it began as the Star City Opera House, one of the finest in Ohio. For 135 years the Opera House has contributed to the culture and history of the city and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Magnolia Estate first started as an idea that we planned out on a napkin, and since has flourished into a beautiful and intimate space. With private dressing rooms for the bridal party, charming gazebos, and heated and air-conditioned reception pavilions, we’ve designed The Magnolia Barn and Rosewood Manor to accommodate all of your needs.

Canopy Creek Farm is where genuine country hospitality meets panoramic vistas and sunset soirees. We are newly built venue that opened in July of 2021. If you are looking for a "chic & classy" venue with quiet, picturesque views and beautiful sunsets, Ivory Meadows is your place! With natural rolling meadows, you will be in awe from the moment you pull into the winding driveway viewing the white barn on top of the hill. The lush green grass surrounds the venue with also a 2 acre wild flower field. When couples walk inside, they love the almost 30 foot high ceiling and the 5 aged iron elegant chandeliers. Our couples love the " white distressed shiplap" on the 3 walls and the ceiling, creating a beautiful backdrop for pictures. This blank canvas allows couples to create the look that they desire! Do as little or as much as you'd like. It's flexible enough to make it formal or even rustic if you like! The photo opportunities are endless with the different views on the rolling meadows. Our heated and screened in patio allows us to use this space all year for cocktail hour!

The Shepard Place is a rustic wedding venue located in Casstown, OH. This historic venue was built in 1920 and was run by the Shepard family for 90 years. Pretty Prairie Farm is truly a one of a kind unique venue, all original woodwork, cleaned and restored to its original charm, the perfect place for your perfect day. At Pretty Prairie Farm you can choose any caterer you like, although we do have a list of some great local companies that we have had in the past as well as DJ’s and other vendors. We have an inside capacity of 350 guests. Below are a few links to some previous weddings to give you a better idea of the property. The barn was build in 1840 and the Victorian house in 1896, both have been restored to capture all the original charm and yet incorporate handicapped bathrooms, prep rooms, and bar. The farm is located 1/2 mile off the road down a paved lane lined with 118-year-old hedges. We only rent the property once per weekend so you have access the day before and after your wedding day, allowing you to fully enjoy your wedding day celebrating
