The food was delicious and we are still getting compliments almost a month after! She really understood what was needed to combine both Turkish and American style foods, and was very conscious of what would work for our crowd and what wouldn’t. Soraya was able to answer questions I didn’t even know I had, and we were able to confidently hand everything over to her so that we were fully present during our special day. “Tailgate Gourmet was wonderful from the first exchanged email, to the last plate was cleared! The owner, John, and his team truly exceeded all expectations. They are informative, educated, and friendly. John's experience reflects in his dish pairings and suggests for scheduling, and his staffs' skillfulness reflected in their work and presentation. The lead crew member on site as our wedding, Julie, was incredible, scanning the crowd for me to bring by husband and I snacks directly amidst formal photos and mingling. The tasting was well thought out and professional. The menu selections are vast and customizable to your needs, while also being reasonably priced. The option to have our menu cooked to order on charcoal grills right beside our tent in live-action was superior; there were no soggy reheated trays of food, the meat timings were perfect, no limitations due to not having cooking equipment as with some catering. Our guests are still raving over the food, and I think about placing a smaller-scale order at least once a month! Many couples say they didn't get to eat their dinner as they were too busy - we MADE SURE we ate our whole plates full. Just thinking back on our prime rib, mac and cheese, bacon-wrapped scallops - I'm starving for more! If you want a catering company that doesn't blow smoke, feels like an extension of your wedding immediately upon meeting, is mindful of allergies and ingredients, with enthusiasm and pride in their team, don't shop around, just do it!”

“We loved Simple Fare! I don't write reviews unless I truly mean it. The food was absolutely delicious, working with them was so easy, communication was constant, and I sometimes felt like Maeghan was my second Wedding Coordinator. She had so many good ideas and always kept our vision and most importantly (to us), our budget in mind! She helped us organize our floor plan in a way that kept things running smooth and kept people partying - for example, coffee and desserts on the edge of the dance floor to keep people dancing all night! As someone who had no idea where to begin planning, I appreciated every bit of guidance Maeghan provided. Our venue had a list of preferred caterers but we specifically went off-list so we could work with Simple Fare! Because they were not pre-approved, there were some additional hoops to jump through, but Maeghan and Candice and everyone at Simple Fare went above and beyond to make sure everything was covered and that the process was smooth on our end. Truly no extra steps were added for us. Candice was our on-site event manager and went the extra mile to make sure our dinner service ran smoothly. She coordinated tables for the buffet so there was never a line, and stopped by our sweetheart table multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed or wanted! The bartenders and servers did an amazing job and seemed to be having a great time during the reception, which in turn made all the guests have an even better time! Who says you can't have fun while doing your job, you know? Everyone raved about the food, and I can attest it was delicious. Get the short rib!!! And the stuffed mushrooms and oatmeal raisin cookies :) I'd recommend their food and service to anyone planning an event!”
