Poppy put together the my bouquet and the boutineeres from the groomsmen and aisle markers. The flowers were beautiful but I was a bit underwhelmed with the final product. I had wanted a much larger bouquet and compared to what I received it was beautiful but not what I was truly expecting.

    Zombie Flowers
    Rating: 5.0 (5 reviews)
    • Serves Kansas City, MO

After the global zombie apocalypse, in the early winter of '24, I heeded the call, picked up my shovel and shotgun and headed out to the fields. Protecting this wide world from the pestilence that is the zombie flower is no small feat, but I've learned to survive. I've made it my mission to hunt these jokers down, wrangle them together, and to serve to you dead off the proverbial platter. In these post-apocalyptic times, the zombie flowers make for excellent mantle trophies, but some have said they make awesome wedding bouquets. Whatever your cup of tea, these zombie flowers are one of a kind prepared just for you.

    Awarded Best of Zola
I only had bouquet and my now husband had a lapel crawler. The dried flower arrangement from Zombie Flowers was stunning. It looked incredible in photos and is still just as beautiful now. Knowing it will last forever makes it such a meaningful keepsake.

    The Flower House Company
    Rating: 5.0 (1 review)
    • Starts at $75 per arrangement
    • Serves Kansas City, MO

Hi I’m Laura Mohamadi, owner of The Flower House Company. Founded from a devotion to the perfectly imperfect, my work explores balance, refined yet organic, understated yet expressive drawing inspiration from nature’s quiet beauty. I believe florals are integral to the atmosphere of a wedding or event. They shape mood, evoke emotion, and articulate personal style with nuance and intention. Each design is approached as a composition, where flowing lines, layered textures, and tonal variation come together in harmony.

From the very start, Laura Mohamadi Design was a pleasure to work with. As a busy bride, I really appreciated that their main mode of communication was text, which made it easy for me to stay on top of things. They were also very responsive when I needed to call or text with any other questions. The floral arrangements they created for our wedding were absolutely breathtaking. My bouquet was the talk of the event, and my bridesmaids' bouquets were just as stunning. Laura even took my crazy request for the head table and turned it into a truly classy and elegant focal point. The end result was exactly what I had envisioned, and more than I could have ever hoped for. Laura and her team took our ideas and ran with them, turning our wedding flowers into something truly special. As a bride, I wanted this day to be as perfect as possible, and Laura Mohamadi Design delivered in every way. I would highly recommend them to any couple looking for a florist who is both talented and a pleasure to work with.

Sarah, the owner and floral designer behind Locust, has an absolutely brilliant mind and tender soul. Her approach to florals is wholly unique-- at the start of the process we worked together to develop a mood for our wedding's florals, defining not just palette and flower preferences, but the emotive and imaginative qualities we wanted flowers to evoke on our wedding day. The flowers she ordered were so special and of the upmost quality, which she then thoughtfully paired with foraged materials from the woods near my father's house as well as our new home. When it came to creating the bouquet, table arrangements, and ceremony installations, she truly made us feel like her collaborators. She showed us so many options, asked for input at the perfect times, and in the end, our wedding florals were the true standouts on our special day. We felt so seen and captured by what she created, and the florals lent a magical air to our ceremony and reception. We could not think of a better florist to work with for important life events-- Sarah is an incredibly special, brilliant, thoughtful human. We couldn't recommend her enough!

Sarcasm & Sunshine Designs Flower Preservation
    Rating: 5.0 (1 review)
    • Starts at $250
    • Serves Kansas City, MO

Sarcasm & Sunshine Designs is comprised of two friends, turned business partners. We worked together for several years planning events and weddings, so we have a shared love of sparkle, flowers, coffee, and making beautiful memories! We couldn't think of a better way to celebrate our growth as friends, mothers and confidants, than to combine our creativity and passions to create one of a kind items to brighten the days and lives of others. Our business, our products, and our partnership is all about balance, Contessa is the Sarcasm, Danielle is the Sunshine. Some days, we switch roles, but we think life is better with both!

Having my wedding flowers preserved was extremely important to me. To be able to keep something perfectly preserved that was so beautiful on my special day is unreal. Danielle is the kindest and easiest person to work with. She gets back to you within seconds and listens to any and every crazy request I had. Along with a tray, wine stopper, ornament, and book mark, Danielle was able to take part of my Mother’s wedding dress (that was wrapped around my bouquet) and preserve it in a jewelry box with my flowers. Let me tell you, the reaction my mom had on her face when I gave her that jewelry box was indescribable. If you are ever second guessing preserving your wedding flowers, this is your sign to do it. You won’t regret it! Sarcasm and Sunshine’s work is impeccable and I hope that others are able to have their flowers preserved with such care and precision as I was able to have mine.

Sophia is the creative force behind Botanical Preserves. Raised in an artistic household, she’s worked with multiple mediums over the years, with five years of experience in floral design. Having a fascination with the realm of plants and their healing powers, Sophia surrounds herself with botanicals and their many elements. The concept of floral design as a living, restorative, art form gave her a deep respect for flowers and their unique personality. Their nature of fragility adds to their elusiveness, and gives her the opportunity to exhibit the never-to-be-replicated side of her personality every time she works with floral product.

I got married in Florida and planned my wedding kind of fast which lead to so many things going wrong in my wedding but the one thing that went absolutely perfect and delivered more than I could've ever asked for was my florist Sophia! She was honestly what kept and brought everything together in the end! I let her do her thing and she was very professional and really has an eye to make her arrangements look like works of art! I honestly wish I could've kept my bouquet forever it was gorgeous and to this day when I show my wedding pictures everyone is amazed at the work she did! After working with her on my wedding day I would definitely recommend Botanical Preserves for your special events! I do not know what I would've done without her I am so grateful for everything she did for me :)
