The Florist Who Transforms How You See Flora

Sarah is an incredibly talented, personable, down-to-earth visionary. I highly recommend her not only for her knowledge, creativity, and ability to execute, but also for her golden heart and warm personality. Sarah's work feels like sculptural poetry. A love letter to nature. Always paying homage to the organic beauty of our land, and creating with respect to what each season offers us. Her floral pieces transform whatever environment they're in. They are ethereal, playful, and sophisticated. Sarah is someone who is connected to her craft on what feels like a very personal level, and the dynamic of her and her pieces draw you in, and inspire you to connect as well. She is such a delight to work with, and a force who gets the ball rolling. She is an artist, and a guide, and a teacher, and I can't recommend her enough.

Working With Sarah Was a Dream

Sarah, the owner and floral designer behind Locust, has an absolutely brilliant mind and tender soul. Her approach to florals is wholly unique-- at the start of the process we worked together to develop a mood for our wedding's florals, defining not just palette and flower preferences, but the emotive and imaginative qualities we wanted flowers to evoke on our wedding day. The flowers she ordered were so special and of the upmost quality, which she then thoughtfully paired with foraged materials from the woods near my father's house as well as our new home. When it came to creating the bouquet, table arrangements, and ceremony installations, she truly made us feel like her collaborators. She showed us so many options, asked for input at the perfect times, and in the end, our wedding florals were the true standouts on our special day. We felt so seen and captured by what she created, and the florals lent a magical air to our ceremony and reception. We could not think of a better florist to work with for important life events-- Sarah is an incredibly special, brilliant, thoughtful human. We couldn't recommend her enough!

We have a $1,500 minimum for full weddings. We also have an A La Carte menu starting at $500 with pre-selected flower types and quantities.
Consultations last approximately 1 hour but can take up to 2 for larger weddings. Please come prepared with details about your wedding like your budget and style, as well as any inspiration you have for your wedding flowers. This can include images of your venue, photos of your wedding attire, fabric swatches, your color palette, photos from social media, and more.
Yes, we offer breakdown services along with delivery, set up, and flower transfer from the ceremony to the reception. The price breakdown will be in your initial and final quote.
It’s never too early to get in touch about your wedding, but we recommend having a few details figured out before you do. For example: Have you selected the location for your ceremony and/or reception? What’s your wedding style? Do you know how many guests you’ll be expecting? Typically, our couples reach out around 6 to 8 months before their big day.
Yes, we can! After the contract is signed, we can provide one mockup, typically a table centerpiece. We prefer to create this between 30 and 60 days before the wedding to take into account seasonal flowers and time to make adjustments before the final proposal and vendor commitments are due. We include a mock-up as a line- item in your initial and final quote.
During your consultation, we will go over all the gorgeous in-season floral offerings available for your wedding date. We love supporting local growers and regional flowers and greenery!
We can offer rental services for a number of floral vessels, but that is all of Locust's offerings at the time.
Sorry, we do not offer flower preservation.
