aimea Estates is a private oceanfront wedding venue on the south shore of Oʻahu — in Honolulu, minutes from Waikīkī and Diamond Head. Kānaka Maoli owned and family-run, Justin and Mirasol Panoke host every celebration alongside their ʻohana. Kaimea is built for intimate weddings, not large productions. The whole estate is yours on your day: no shared events, no crowds. Everything is already in place when you arrive — oceanfront ceremony site, ceremony and reception furniture, our speakeasy-inspired bar, lighting, sound, and shuttle service. Turn-key, so you and your ʻohana can be present instead of chasing vendors. Four packages for 2027: The Elopement, The Ceremony, The Gathering, and The Reception. We got married at Kaimea Estates, and I honestly couldn’t have imagined a more beautiful place to begin our marriage. The property is absolutely stunning and conveniently located in East Honolulu. It was everything we hoped for in a venue especially since we had a small & intimate ceremony. What made the experience especially meaningful was the family team who operates it and how much they genuinely cared about making sure we had a beautiful wedding day! Justin and Mirasol were an integral part of the planning, setup, and operations of our wedding day, helping ensure everything ran smoothly from start to finish. They have a great routine in place and work with solid, reliable vendors, which made the entire process feel seamless and well-coordinated. Their experience, attention to detail, and patience with my last minute requests made a difference in our wedding experience. We are so grateful for the care they put into making our day so special and would highly recommend Kaimea Estates to any couple looking for a beautiful venue and a team that genuinely cares. They are seasoned professionals! Our guests loved the setting, the intimacy, the close proximity to Waikiki, and the beautiful views! We still talk about how special the day was! I would absolutely recommend Kaimea Estates to any couple looking for a beautiful, intimate Hawaiian venue on O’ahu where the people behind it truly care about their couples.

We recently had our intimate wedding celebration at Empire Steak House Hawaii in the stunning Marble Room with 45 of our closest friends and family and I truly don’t have enough words to describe how extraordinary the experience was. From the moment we stepped into the space, we were completely blown away. The Marble Room is breathtaking, elegant, warm, and adorned with sweeping views that made the entire celebration feel magical. Every single detail, from the table settings to the lighting, was flawlessly executed. It felt like a dream brought to life. The food was absolutely divine. Every dish was perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the steaks, the fresh seafood, and the incredible desserts. It was a feast in every sense of the word, decadent, flavorful, and memorable. But what truly made the evening unforgettable was the exceptional staff. The team was gracious, attentive, and genuinely kind. They served with heart and ensured that every guest felt pampered and celebrated. Their professionalism and warmth created an atmosphere of joy and ease that allowed us to simply be present and soak in the moment. This was more than just a wedding. I booked my wedding date at Sunset Ranch 2.5 years ago after falling in love with it online. I had never seen the venue in person, but based on the reviews and the wedding packages, I felt confident that this would be the perfect venue to host my dream wedding. Just a few months after I locked in my date, I found out I was pregnant and would be due just weeks before my original wedding day. I went into full panic mode when I reached out to Ronda, my Sunset Ranch appointed wedding coordinator, to let her know the news. Greg(owner) and Ronda did not let me stress about this and happily moved my date another year out without any further questions asked. Because of this, I was able to prepare for an incredible wedding that exceeded all my expectations. Planning a destination wedding while raising a newborn was something I never thought I would have to do, nor did I know how incredibly difficult it could be. It would have been impossible without Ronda’s help and guidance. She went above and beyond and was always honest and transparent about every decision, option, or issue that arose. I love that Sunset Ranch has vendors for almost everything already. It made the wedding planning process so much easier. Any decision between vendors or design elements that I had to make was easy due to Ronda’s suggestions. The entire Sunset Ranch team worked seamlessly to make sure my wedding day was amazing. All my guests were in awe and could not say enough great things about the venue and team. The party favors (honey) were a hit as well! My husband and I were pretty bummed when TSA took our bottle on our way back home. The BEST part - nothing beats the natural beauty of the venue / views from the venue. Being able to pause and appreciate all the beauty around us with all our friends and family as we soaked up everything that just happened was incredible. I couldn’t be happier about where I chose to get married. If you’re a bride that does not want the bridezilla title or to get sucked into picking out every little detail on your own and welcome help/suggestions from seasoned wedding professionals, look no further. Sunset Ranch is an absolutely gorgeous venue, with flexible packages, and a rockstar team to execute your big day. To Ronda - thank you for being more than just a coordinator, but also a friend over the last 2.5 years. You were the perfect coordinator for my rowdy bunch of friends and a great person to talk to when I struggled to find the balance of raising a baby and planning a destination wedding. Thank you for not just treating us as clients, but as family. My wedding party, along with everyone who got to see you kill it on wedding day absolutely adored you. I’m so glad you were my coordinator! I hope to see you the next time we are back in Oahu.

Take us back! One year later, and we are still caught up in the moment we celebrated our wedding at Loulu Palm Estates. Nestled on O‘ahu’s North Shore, Loulu Palm offered us complete privacy—and yet didn’t compromise on the sweeping views of Hawaii’s vibrant sunsets and emerald mountain ridges. It was the perfect setting! While rentals must be booked directly through the venue, we found their wide-ranging inventory—chairs, tents, decor—both convenient and hassle-free. And also, completely customizable! With the help of Jordan from Love Letter Weddings, we integrated a Toyota Tacoma photobooth and cabana awnings over the ceremony seating—both concepts the venue team embraced wholeheartedly. We can’t recommend working with Nickie and Loulu Palm enough!

Our wedding at the Hawaii Polo Club was perfection! My husband and I booked this venue prior to seeing in person as this was a destination wedding. We were married on the beach and even though the heavy rains washed out some of the sand I hardly noticed on the day of and not at all in our pictures. Even though they do not have a space to get ready in, the clubhouse worked perfectly for me to get my dress on and take getting ready pictures with all of my 7 bridesmaids and mother in the clubhouse. Sugako, our day of coordinator was amazing and made sure everything went smoothly from start to finish. She was very communicative throughout the planning and any time I had questions or needed help deciding on something she was there to help guide and give suggestions. Jamie was our bartender and was so friendly and helpful. My husband and I as well as our guests were captivated by the natural beauty of the Hawaii Polo Club. Overall 10/10 for our experience with the venue and their recommended vendors.

The islands feature lush garden settings nestled against mountain views and historic venues rich with cultural significance. Whether you're planning an intimate elopement or gathering everyone you know, Hawaii's diverse venues can accommodate celebrations of any size.

What Makes Each Hawaiian Island Unique for Weddings?

How Does Oahu Balance Accessibility and Beauty?

Oahu combines easy accessibility with spectacular natural beauty, making it perfect for guests traveling from afar. Venues like Turtle Bay Resort in Kahuku give you stunning beachfront settings with a deeply romantic atmosphere your guests will talk about for years. The Royal Hawaiian in Waikiki offers accessible venues including the Ocean Lawn and Coconut Grove. This flexibility helps you design exactly the wedding you're envisioning without logistical headaches.

Which Hawaiian Island Offers the Most Scenic Backdrop?

Kauai gives you near-private beach ceremonies with intimate settings along its secluded shorelines. Perfect for couples seeking privacy. Maui features The Ritz-Carlton in Kapalua with exceptional culinary experiences and comprehensive wedding coordination that takes stress off your shoulders. The island's upcountry settings provide cooler temperatures and sweeping vistas that create dramatic backdrops for your special day.

How Much Does a Wedding in Hawaii Cost?

A Hawaii wedding venue costs about $10,665, fitting right within the national average range of $6,500-$12,000. You'll typically spend between $9,600-$11,700 on your venue, which represents about 19% of your total wedding budget. Your overall costs will scale with guest count: 50 guests runs around $24,065 while 300 guests approaches $96,881. Most couples secure their Hawaii venue about 14 months before the big day. June sees the highest number of venue inquiries, so plan accordingly if you're considering a summer wedding.

These touches help everyone feel included in your celebration regardless of distance.

What's Your Next Step in Planning Your Hawaii Wedding?

With venues typically booked 14 months ahead, you should start scheduling venue tours during Hawaii's shoulder seasons. April-May or September-October give you the advantage of wedding professionals having more availability to answer your questions. Working with a more modest budget? Consider restaurant private rooms like Cafe Julia in Honolulu which includes furniture, basic decor and staff in their package price. This approach gives you the Hawaiian experience while keeping costs manageable.
