Hello! My name is Ava. I’m a wife, mother to five and a cake and cookie artist. My grandma was a custom cake artist in NY for many years before she passed in 2018 so I grew up watching her create works of art. I would like to say that baking and creating runs in my blood and is not only a hobby of mines, but a true passion.

We are proud to have local customers and customers that travel from as far as California, Florida, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Maine, and Virginia to purchase our cakes. We also travel with large cake and have traveled as far as Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Washington DC and West Virginia. The staff at Sweet Confections Cakes has a combined total of more than 30 years experience in Sugar Artistry, Pastry Arts, Baking, and Teaching Cake Decorating. We take great pride in our diverse decorating style and skills.

I enjoy baking, so when my daughter needed to raise funds for her missions trip we started "baking for a cause." Our baking endeavor to raise support for my daughter's missions trip has blossomed into my passion and a full bakery business! I have found something I really enjoy doing which also allows me to incorporate my creativity. Baking for me is more than just throwing together a few ingredients. For me, it is more about creating a new design or personalizing a product. It's about doing something for someone else! We are located in the Fresh Markets of Hershey-stop by and give our products a taste!

The “sweets” business is the only business I’ve ever known. I’ve been decorating cakes professionally for over 15 years! I come from a family who loves dessert. We believe that if you eat something savory, it must follow with sweet. I have always found great joy in creating pretty little works of art that (best of all) you could EAT! Most of my clients refer to my cakes as Rosie Cakes! I guess the nickname is deserved as I strive to please my customers with the tool kit I have been given. Art and design have been an interest of mine for as long as I can remember. My career choice has allowed me to use cake as my medium to display that gift.
