We had Brett for all our music needs for our wedding (ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception).He was a pleasure to work with from the very first meeting we had with him. His planning tools made it so easy to organize and communicate our wants/needs for our day. He had everything handled from setup to timing and we didn’t have to worry about anything. The dance floor was busy from song 1 till the end of the night! He was checking in with my husband and I throughout the evening in case there were any last minute songs we wanted to hear or any requests we hadn’t heard yet. Both of us are music lovers so the DJ was a very important part of our wedding to get right, and Alex was nothing short of perfect for the event. Julie handed us the book as we were wrapping up for the evening, and one of my favorite memories of the night was sitting down as a married couple and decompressing while we looked at all the photos. It was such a wonderful gift that I know we will cherish, and I highly recommend anyone who works with Elite to get this book! Moe was our videographer, and I could tell from meeting him on the day that he is an artist who takes his work very seriously! He was kind and worked with us to get the shots he wanted, and we appreciate his efforts a lot! Not just for playing good tunes that kept the dancefloor occupied the whole time - but for keeping the ceremony running smoothly, helping with gathering people for photos, making announcements and overall just adding really good energy to our wedding. From the early planning stages right up to the final song they were effortless to work with. They start by getting an idea of what you want for your event and learning more about you too. They have easy forms to fill out that cover everything, give a reasonable quote then touch base with you leading up to the event to make sure everyone's on the same page. The DJ / MC combo is extremely effective ! The DJ (Eric) was super skilled and able to really focus on making the music shine (ceremony cues, fade-outs, transitions, etc.) because the MC (Jaylin) took great care of any crowd-work and making sure everyone involved knew what was coming up next. While their communication was a bit delayed leading up to the event, they were ultimately effective in executing on the day-of. The DJ kept the party going all night with a good song selection, though they did play 3 Taylor Swift songs in a row at the start, which we would have preferred more variety. The MC's ad-libs got a little overbearing at times, but overall they did a nice job sticking to the schedule and making important announcements. We'd recommend HiMotive to other couples looking for an energetic DJ.”
