    Hire the band!

    We absolutely loved having Collision Six as our wedding band. The process from start to finish with Matt and team was super seamless. They made it easy to navigate the wedding process before the event. They elevated the ceremony with live music and played unreal music all night long. Our guests came up to us all night complimenting the band! We are so glad we went with Collision Six as our wedding band!

    The BEST Wedding

    Detroit Event Company exceeded every expectation for our winter wedding! We hired one of their bands, CollisionSix, and they were truly spectacular from start to finish. They filled our night with INCREDIBLE energy, provided beautiful piano music during dinner, and absolutely wowed us by learning one of our favorite songs—“Modern Girl” by Bleachers—just for our big day. Their talent and professionalism shone through every moment. The entire planning process with Detroit Event Company was smooth, comforting, and exceptionally organized. We had several meetings beforehand, and Matt Rappaport was an absolute standout—creative, flexible, and always willing to help bring our vision to life. We felt supported every step of the way. We also used their photo booth services, which were a huge hit with our guests. They designed two custom photo layouts for us, and the booth attendant was so thoughtful—checking in throughout the night to make sure we got every photo we wanted before wrapping up. Overall, Detroit Event Company helped make our wedding unforgettable. We cannot recommend them highly enough!

    Keeps the dance floor packed

    Matt & his team at Collision Six are terrific musicians, but we all know that is just a starting point for a great night. They stick to the schedule, but are flexible when things inevitably change. Matt is very thorough in his preliminary discussions, and uses his experience to plan a smooth, fun filled night with a jam packed dance floor.

Absolutely! We'll learn any songs you choose for your first dance and parent dances, as well as special songs for your ceremony.
Yes please! Before your wedding or event, we're going to ask you for a list of 15 "must play" songs from our song list. Some clients have a hard time coming up with 15 songs, and others have a hard time narrowing it down. If you're part of that second group, you can submit as many other "tier 2" requests as you'd like. We want to make sure the playlist is all about you!
Yes. We offer music options for ceremony, cocktails, dinner, dancing and band breaks. Lots of variety to choose from, so we can customize the night to your style and budget.
Of course. Let us know where you need us to send our certificate of insurance, and we'll coordinate directly with your venue.
Our set up crew usually arrives 3-4 hours before the party starts to set up. The rest of the band members arrive 1 hour before to complete a sound-check and final mini-rehearsal so we can polish up your special songs!
We include lighting for the stage and dance floor in all of our packages. If you're looking for uplighting for the room or a photo booth, please ask. We have great partners to refer to you!
No sales taxes on services.
Yes we do. Some bands use backing tracks (like karaoke songs) to supplement their sound, and that can work out just fine. With our 8-piece band, we are able to perform any song 100% live without the use of help from a computer track.
Yes! There are bands out there with consistent line-ups who rehearse and play together regularly, and there are some bands who piece together a line-up based upon event-specifics. We believe that having a tight band made up of band members who know each other personally and musically makes for the best possible performance. We rehearse weekly, and our performance reflects that.
