I filmed my first wedding when I was only 18, and 5+ years later I am still super duper passionate about what I do. I love documenting the messy, organic, emotional, silly, jaw-dropping, playful, raw moments that unfold in front of my camera…the moments that you want to relive over and over again. I have always loved filmmaking! Yep, in school I was the nerd running around with a video camera in my hand everywhere I went. While the jocks and cheerleaders were doing what they do, I was the one editing their videos for the broadcast journalism class. I had no idea I would love creating wedding films until I actually fell in love myself. The love for my wife, what marriage means to me, and the passion I have for filmmaking has brought me to this place today. Hello, my name is Darren Baca and I am the owner and director of Reel Eyes. From a very early age, film has always been a passion of mine. As a child my favorite toy was my parent’s video camera as I was always making movies with friends. Instead of writing book reports in high school teachers allowed me to make video spoofs instead. Because of this, I helped start a video production class at my former high school that gives students the opportunity to explore their own creative paths.
