As a violinist for weddings I experience all types of venues but this one is particularly special because it is away from everything, private and peaceful. The property manager, Scena, is very gracious and helpful. The swimming pool is such a beautiful one, lodge and property with a lot of space for your guests to enjoy.

My husband and I just got married at Jefferson Street Mansion and it was the most perfect wedding we could have ever imagined - it exceeded our vision! The whole JSM team was so amazing to work with and made planning as stress-free as possible. We stuck to the planning timeline they provided in the planning binder (which was SO helpful to have) and had everything ready in time. Our guests all raved about what a fabulous wedding it was. We customized the venue quite a bit bringing in our own decor and personal touches and it did not feel cookie-cutter at all even though it is an all-inclusive venue. I am so happy we chose JSM!! The recommended vendors were all outstanding, the food was delicious, everything ran smoothly during the wedding and I didn't have to stress about a thing. The mansion, ceremony area, and reception tent are all BEAUTIFUL. I could not have asked for a more perfect day.

Suisun Valley Inn - Wedding Retreat

5.0

Fairfield, CA
  • Up to 250 guests
  • Select services
  • Outdoor & indoor

The Suisun Valley Inn is an intimate retreat at the historic 55-acre Monroe Ranch in the heart of Suisun Valley, just east of Napa. Accommodating sixteen guests in eight suites, the inn is the ideal location to stay while enjoying the area wineries, farms and attractions. For the 2025 wedding season we will offer indoor weddings/receptions in our new 7500 sq ft barn.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Handles all cleanup logistics
  • Historic touches
  • Has onsite accommodations

Venue considerations

  • Large venue, not ideal for small guest lists
  • Not for you if you prefer a more modern aesthetic
  • Lighting and sound are not included
We recently had our wedding at Suisun Valley Inn, and overall, it was a beautiful and memorable experience. One of the biggest highlights was being able to use the venue for three full days, which gave us extra time to relax and connect with our bridal party and loved ones. That extended access truly made a difference in how special the weekend felt. However, there were a few challenges that did impact our plans. The event barn, which was a key part of our original vision, was unfortunately not finished in time for our wedding. While we understand this was out of the owner’s control, we were disappointed that we were not refunded the full 2,000 deposit, especially since the change affected nearly every aspect of our day. Additionally, when we arrived, we were surprised to find the vineyard had been plowed without any prior notice. This forced another last-minute adjustment to our setup so we wouldn’t be facing a dirt lot. It would have been really helpful to have been told about that in advance. Despite these hiccups, the venue itself has so much potential and charm, and we did have a lovely wedding. I just hope some of these experiences can help future couples plan better or spark a few improvements from the venue for the future.

  • All-inclusive
  • Indoor & outdoor

Built in 1902 by the renowned architect Bernard Maybeck in traditional Arts and Crafts style, it's designed to create a cozy, intimate feeling. The crowning glory of the club is the three-story Great Hall. With its vaulted ceiling, massive stone fireplace, and stained-glass windows featuring heraldic crests of the great universities of the world, it's reminiscent of many a European cathedral. Light from the floor-to-ceiling windows warms the redwood paneling and suffuses the Hall in a golden glow. Two charming smaller spaces are also available for functions. The Heyns and Seaborg rooms (named respectively after a chancellor and a distinguished University Nobel Laureate) both have French doors leading to a private outdoor area with a garden view. The Faculty Club has been serving its members and guests for over 100 years and will do everything possible to make your event successful and enjoyable.

  • Designed for grand celebrations
  • Flexible event spaces
  • Private area for the wedding party

The Faculty Club was a pleasure to work with. They're very professional and have great insights into different setups and options. They worked with all our vendors and made sure all items we needed were provided. Setup and breakdown were also done in an efficient manner and very happy with our cocktail hour on the glade and dinner inside.

The team at Yaara Napa Events was helpful and flexible in their communication, making the planning process a breeze. The venue itself is not fancy, but rather holds a rustic, nature filled appeal as it's a working farm ( our guests loved meeting their pygmy goats). We chose this place because it was a beautiful location close enough to our guests hotels in downtown Napa, and it fit perfectly within our limited venue budget. After the ceremony, photos and a toast, we took our guests for dinner at a restaurant to continue celebrating.

We will forever remember our gorgeous Oakland wedding at the Terrace Room. This venue highlights the beauty of Oakland, especially at night. It’s absolutely stunning. Candi (the event coordinator) was super sweet and worked with us faithfully, even through two COVID-19 postponements. After hearing about all the horrors couples went through with unaccommodating venues, Terrace Room made it easy to stick it out with them to have the wedding we originally wanted. Their food is fantastic as well! We keep getting compliments on it from our guests to this day. Choosing Terrace Room meant knocking out many to-do’s off our wedding planning list, as they provide a lot of services in their pricing. Speaking of price, this place can’t be beat. You get a lot for your money. Take a look at their preferred vendor list as well, they have some winners! Thank you eternally to Candi and Terrace Room for hosting the most beautiful night of our lives.

My daughter and her fiancé chose The Gardens at Heather Farm for their June wedding and it was everything our families could have wished for. The Venue is exceptional. The entire garden was privatized for the event. The ceremony at the Gazebo in the rose garden was picture-perfect. The location is unique and the lovely Gazebo surrounded by hundreds and hundreds of roses in full bloom was the perfect backdrop for their special moment. Cocktail hour was at the patio Pavilion – a large “U” shaped bar with granite countertops and covered by a vine-covered wooden pergola. It sits next to a raised bed garden space filled with flowers which provided a pleasant place for our guests to mingle and enjoy the beautiful flowers while enjoying their cocktails. Dinner was indoors in the Camellia Room. This room is stunning. Huge glass windows around the room provide views out to the garden and the lovely lake. The neutral colors in the room were perfect for our summer wildflower color theme. There is a large deck that runs around the outside of the space which was perfect for an outdoor bar, photo booth, and our audio guest book (phone). The Gardens provided an amazing array of beautiful places for photography and spaces for our guests to stroll and enjoy the views. The indoor space was lovely, clean, and bright. Lots of space for seating, a DJ, a cake table, a Sweetheart Table, and dancing. Jenna was delightful to work with. She was helpful and responsive during the entire process. We would choose this venue again in a heartbeat.

  • Lush gardens
  • Venue is completely outdoors
  • Offers full flexibility in setup and decor

Venue considerations

  • Lighting and sound are not included
  • Not for you if you don't want a rustic vibe
  • No on-site guest accommodations
We had our wedding at Shadelands Ranch Museum in 2018 and couldn't have been happier with our decision! We had a few parameters to work within — a tight budget, a list of vendors we wanted to work with, and a large guest count. The staff at Shadelands were incredibly accommodating and easy to partner with. Since their policy allows food trucks and other mobile caterers, we were able to hire one of our favorite local BBQ restaurants to cater, which was a huge hit. The venue grounds are large enough to fit a sizeable group — perfect for our guests who brought children — they had plenty of room to run around on the lawn. In the summer, the venue adds string lights in the trees around their gazebo, creating a beautiful and romantic touch when the sun sets. The gazebo served as a beautiful centerpiece and the location for our photo booth. Our DJ had plenty of space to set up on the back patio, which doubled as the dance floor. The venue’s accessibility was incredible, with ample parking, clean restrooms, a kitchen, and a porch for the bride to ‘hide’ until the ceremony. And because the venue provided the tables and chairs, we only needed to rent table linens. Shadelands is the place to book if you want a beautiful and affordable outdoor wedding venue in Walnut Creek that can accommodate both your ceremony and reception. The attentive staff, accessible location, and flexibility around customization make it an ideal place to tie the knot!

  • Has a dance floor to dance the night away
  • Provides lighting and sound
  • Provides setup and cleanup

Venue considerations

The moment we walked into Plant Connection SF I knew it was the perfect place to host the kind of unconventional wedding celebration we had in mind. The setting with the plants inside and out was important to me as my mother who is no longer in this realm was a gardener/plant whisperer. I could feel connected to her in the setting. Ali the main coordinator we worked with was very helpful and a great communicator both through email and in person. We really liked having the ability to set up the bar outside and keep the doors open to keep the flow of air circulating as people mixed and mingled. It was a wonderful whirlwind day and it seemed like it was over in a flash, but we keep hearing from people about how much fun they had. We highly recommend Plant Connection SF for people who want to embrace an unconventional setting for a celebration in the heart of the city.

We had our wedding at Boundary Oak in May 2024, and I can’t say enough great things about our experience—especially working with Angelique. From our very first tour her professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail were top tier. We toured seven venues before choosing Boundary Oak, and it was the combination of stunning grounds and exceptional customer service that sealed the deal for us. Our initial food tasting was decent—typical wedding food—but a new head chef joined about six months before our wedding. The improvement was noticeable and really elevated our reception meal. Our guests raved about the food! If I had to give any constructive feedback, it would be regarding the bridal suite. While functional, it could definitely benefit from an upgrade. Adding a private bathroom and a lock on the door would make a huge difference in comfort and privacy for the bride on such an important day. Overall, we had a fantastic experience at Boundary Oak and are so grateful to Angelique and the entire team for helping make our day so special!

Nestled in the heart of California's picturesque wine country, Fairview Napa stands as a beacon of romance and elegance. Boasting sweeping vineyard views and exquisite event spaces, Fairview Napa is the quintessential venue for couples seeking to transform their wedding dreams into reality. "We couldn't have chosen a more perfect venue for our wedding than Fairview Napa. The combination of rustic elegance and serene vineyard surroundings provided the ideal backdrop for our celebration. The team at Fairview Napa was incredibly accommodating, making the planning process seamless and stress-free. Our wedding day was everything we had envisioned and more, thanks to Fairview Napa." - Sarah & Michael

Why you'll love this venue

  • Provides lighting and sound
  • Dressing room available
  • Both indoor and outdoor options

Venue considerations

  • Best for events with big guest lists
Fairview Napa was a wonderful choice for our wedding venue. From the start, their communication was quick, responsive, and concise, making the planning process smooth and stress-free. The venue itself was beautiful, and we loved being able to have our ceremony and reception outdoors - it really fit our vision perfectly. The staff was amazing and helped execute our event flawlessly. The only downside was that while Fairview Napa is an all-inclusive venue, the included vendors for things like the florals and cake were not up to the quality we were hoping for, so we had to upgrade those services, which is extra money. I highly recommend their DJ and Officiant services, they helped contribute to making the day extra special. After upgrading services, we were also very pleased with the florist and the aesthetics of the cake! Overall though, the value was great and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Fairview Napa to any couple looking for a stunning Napa wedding location. Special shout out to Valerie, our wedding coordinator, who worked with us the entire planning process. She is great at her job and her years of experience shine through!

We loved the idea of booking a reception venue that already had an incredible staff in-house. GAMH provided us with great care and kind but honest input every step of the way. The event coordinator (the fabulous Mandy!), audio, lighting, catering, servers, bar service, coat check…..was perfection because the team is their own and prideful for the space and its legendary music history. It was special to introduce so many out-of-town guests to this beautiful classic of a venue in the heart of our city and dance the night away. We’ll never forget it and will enjoy attending shows that much more forever.

We hosted our wedding at the Presidio Officers' Club and had truly the most special, incredible day of our lives. It was clean, well-organized, with delicious food and friendly staff. Not to mention, the planning team at the Presidio, through Wedgewood Weddings, was truly best-in-class. Wedgewood prepared us so well, providing a planning binder and step-by-step instructions. They checked in with us multiple times, providing walk-throughs, and answering every question extremely promptly. We especially loved our planner and day-of coordinator, Christian, who went out of his way to make everything so seamless. Christian taught us how to do our ceremony, including little details such as hand placement, went out of his way to accommodate a creative painting engagement, and provided private time for us newlyweds. He was perfect! So grateful to this beautiful venue and our wonderful team. We will treasure our experience with Wedgewood forever.

From the moment I sent an initial request to Diane, the event manager, working with BStar was an absolute Joy. I was able to work with Diane to meet the needs of our group including several dietary restrictions. She had no problem going back and forth and adjusting the menu. When we got to the restaurant we were in the most adorable private room. It was inside, but felt like it was outside with the decor. Each place was set with a personalized menu (we did not ask for this, they just did it on their own). The manager, Matt was amazing. He set us up, made recommendations on drinks and then talked us through the appetizers we had ordered. We had the Appetizer combo platter (Platha dipper, veggie samosas, spring rolls. and firecracker cauliflower ) and Sticky Finger Riblettes and green tea salad. We then ordered off the menu. Each food was better than the next. The manager and our server were so attentive to us. When we got the bill it was perfect. No errors at all. I would literally eat here every day, as well as have a private event here every time I could. Too bad I live on the east coast.

The pricing on here is wrong. The venue fee alone is almost 30k. Then the food and beverage minimum is 50k but if you have 150 guests you will spend more like 80k. Plus there is a service fee of at least 13k. So BEFORE photographer, footwear, videographer, band, decor etc. you’re already at around 123k.

We can't say enough good things about Sequoyah Country Club. Andrea and Sally are the most attentive, responsive, professional, and kind venue coordinators out there. Our wedding was a beautiful success because of them and the SCC staff. They know how to host a wedding -- and it shows. We valued their expertise every step of the way. They've hosted so many weddings that they had great suggestions and solutions to every single thing that came up. Their recommended vendors list is valuable and we used it to hire our great day of coordinator. The venue is beautiful and well cared for inside and out. It shows in our pictures. All of the chairs, linens, glassware, cake stands, etc. were in great condition. The building and grounds are lovely so we didn't need excessive decorations or flowers. We don't live locally and planned the wedding from across the country -- it wasn't an issue with how well organized SCC is. It rained the night before our wedding and was unexpectedly a little colder than we anticipated -- Andrea and Sally helped us adjust our day of plans-- we kept the ceremony outside but moved cocktail hour inside with only a couple hour notice -- no one was stressed, they took care of it all. We had 150 people for an outdoor ceremony and indoor dinner and dancing. Lastly -- we were very happy with the pricing (so many things are included, and if they aren't already included, they're happy to arrange just about anything else!). We felt every single dollar was well spent. We can't recommend the venue enough -- the biggest thank you to Andrea, Sally, and the SCC staff.
