Our historic house was built and finished in 1774 and was the home of New Jersey's first elected Governor William Livingston. Throughout time the house was purchased to the Kean family where they resided until the last resident passed away in 1995. Our 23 acres grounds are full of beautiful gardens. You may chose to get married in our gardens which can be found throughout the whole property. Guests will love exploring and walking around the grounds during some off periods of the event. There were quite a bit of rules and miscommunications along the way. This made the experience, especially during the end of the engagement season and the actual wedding day a bit dramatic and exhausting. However, this could be avoided if every single detail is ironed out from the very beginning and you are giving consistent reminders of what you're anticipating your day to be like. Overall, the venue is gorgeous and every single area of it is grounds for awesome photo-ops. On a gorgeous day, you will absolutely not regret choosing this location. Not only is it super affordable, but they also give you the freedom to pick your other vendors to create your ideal wedding (as almost everything else is kind of "a la carte"). A bonus is that you get the whole grounds on your wedding day, so that's exciting for you and your guests!

Smack Mellon is, to put it mildly, a wonderful venue. The brick interior and high ceilings (I believe it was an old boiler room dating from DUMBO's bygone industrial days well before West Elm) provides ample room for whatever you desire. We worked closely with Jessica, who was extremely helpful throughout the entire process. She remained quite receptive to each of our many suggestions. Everyone at Smack Mellon was very accommodating, too, letting us drop off some items the day prior (this was an invaluable service amid standard pre-wedding chaos). Since the space is relatively blank, you can add to it, creating a wholly personal experience that properly reflects you and your event. And of course, there's the view of the Manhattan Bridge. If you're visiting the space, take the ferry. Easier than finding parking and nicer than the subway.

From the moment we walked into Rule of Thirds for our site visit, we knew that we had found the perfect venue for our wedding! We had our wedding this past May 2025 at Rule of Thirds, and could not be MORE HAPPY for our decision. Not only is the space incredibly beautiful, but the staff is amazing, truly so helpful, kind, and patient. Food and drink being included due to the incredible restaurant that Rule of Thirds already is, in addition to hosting events, made booking this space an even easier decision! Julie and Mandy, who communicated with us throughout our planning process, were a huge help as we worked to envision our big day, and were always available to answer our questions as they came up. Additionally, the food tasting experience was a lot of fun, and made us even more excited for the wedding! Naturally, everything was DELICIOUS and our friends cannot stop raving about how good everything was. On the day-of our wedding, our onsite events operations manager, Lucia, was also a huge help, and alongside our day of coordinating team, it felt like we had an amazing crew supporting us, and ensuring that we felt relaxed and happy all day long. The space itself is also stunning, especially the skylight at the center of the atrium space, which became such a focal point for our wedding design as we envisioned everything coming together. Having access to the bridal suite behind their sake shop also made preparing before and after our ceremony seamless. The way everything came together at the venue, including flowers, signage, and our floor plan, was perfect, and everything we could have ever dreamed of. We cannot recommend this venue enough, and will always remember Rule of Thirds as a special place in our hearts where we got to start the rest of our lives together with friends and family all around us! We got married at Dobbin St. on March 23, 2019. We fell in love with the space the first time we saw it. The high ceilings, clean lines, and minimalist look were just what we wanted, and unlike anything else we had seen. It was like a "clean" slate that we were able to completely make our own with our choice of flowers, lighting, place settings, etc. The whole Dobbin St. team was amazing to work with - they were with us every step of the way. The day was perfect!

Robert was a wonderful place to have a reception, with Kristi as a fantastic event manager and Richard as day-of coordinator. They were incredibly helpful and professional, and quick to answer all of our questions as the day came nearer and set up a tasting to help choose our menu. Also of course the space is beautiful, the decorations perfect, the views amazing, and the food absolutely delicious. We got many rave reviews from our guests of the food! They easily had an open bar, live piano, and cocktail hour with activities after dinner. They were very accommodating and helped us with table set up, activities, cake cutting, a screen for photos, and house music. Would strongly recommend it as a place to host any event as there were no hiccups at all. We are very glad we managed to snag it for our wedding!

Museum of the Moving Image is not your typical wedding venue - which is exactly what we wanted. BG, our venue coordinator was such a pleasure to work with. This was the first venue we visited and instantly knew it was the one for us, a lot of which is down to the level of service BG provided. We had just shy of 100 guests, reception in the main hall, and used the Red Stone Theatre for the ceremony. Our guests LOVED that they had access to the museum throughout the night, it was such a fun and interactive night for them. We're so glad we chose MOMI as our venue and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for something different and quirky, thank you to BG and the whole MOMI team!

From the staff to the galleries to the grounds, the Alverthorpe Manor/Abington Art Center was the perfect place to host our wedding. We enjoyed being able to get ready on site and have the ceremony and reception all in one place. Our guests enjoyed the local art and sculpture garden. It was a uniquely wonderful venue for us as a couple who didn't want a "traditional" wedding venue, and as foodies for whom it was really important to be able to bring in our own caterers! We worked with Chantal and Sasha for our 8/2023 wedding and could not have had a better experience. Chantal was so responsive, helpful, creative, patient, and overall just truly pleasant to work with. She listened to what we wanted and helped make our day feel so unique and special to us. The entire staff made our dream wedding day come true and I could not recommend the venue more. Sasha was our wedding attendant and so sweet and attentive and patient. She's been working at the venue for 19 years and her experience was so helpful to have! We moved cocktail hour out on the patio for an additional fee which was also greatly appreciated by our guests who got to take amazing photos and enjoy the gardens before our dinner - highly recommend considering if it's in your budget! Again, really enjoyed working with the entire NYBG team and specifically with Chantal and Sasha. We will thrilled with the outcome!

Arch Street Meeting House is a historic wedding venue located in Old City Philadelphia. The land on which Arch Street Meeting House stands was officially deeded to the Quakers in 1701 and used as a burial ground until 1872. The building was constructed in stages from 1803-1811 when need arose of a larger Meeting House in Philadelphia. The site is still an active place of worship in addition to being used as an educational museum space, and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 2011. It is frequently rented for conferences, weddings, dinners, and graduations. The building sits on just shy of 2 acres, and our grounds include both grassy & brick spaces and lots of mature trees. The entire site exudes an overall historic charm.

Arch Street Meeting House proved to be the ideal spot for our wedding. Jenn was an absolute pleasure to work with and made sure she understood exactly what we were looking for and how her team could help bring it to fruition. They allowed us to close the grounds to the public so that our guests could mingle and sip champagne outside in the beautiful weather. All of the guests commented on how tangibly historical the venue was and how they loved the simplicity and timelessness of the ceremony space. (Which looks absolutely stunning in the few preview photos we've gotten back.) Because it was so much more affordable, we also decided to hold our rehearsal dinner there and hired a taco truck to act as the caterers. All in all, I can't recommend ASMH or Jenn and the team more highly!!

The historic venue provided a romantic backdrop for an exceptional value. The staff went above and beyond, setting up a special collection of items related to our wedding theme and being available for any last minute logistics related to the ceremony rehearsal and preparation.
