“The photographer, videographer, and photo booth was absolutely perfect and our guests had a blast! However, even after going through the work of submitting a Spotify play list and adding do not play songs or DJ played the wrong version of our first dance song (I checked and we had the correct version listed on our playlist we sent over), he also played songs from our do not play list to the point I, the bride, came over to ask if he had the wrong list. He admitted he was using songs from the do not play list as he was not paying attention. I would also like to note, though our wedding was more casual, our DJ was dressed in a sloppy manner. His shirt was half untucked from his pants, there were stains on his shirt and pants. Besides a few hiccups, direct Entertainment was wonderful to work with!”

“We had Nick Wright as our "master DJ" for our June 2026 wedding at Landoll's Mohican Castle. Nick was AMAZING - he was open to every genre of music; including k-pop, the Lord of the Rings soundtrack, video game music, early 2000s, and more! He walked us through the party pleasers app, which was fantastic. You could upload full spotify playlists straight into the app. The app also breaks down each section of wedding day for every song you may need (ceremony, cocktail hour, cutting the cake, dinner, dancing, etc.). Nick was super nice and was able to do our sound for the ceremony, cocktail hour, full dinner and reception, and our grand exit. He was open to all our suggestions; and he brought up things to decide that we hadn't even considered! During the wedding, Nick made sure to check in with us personally and made sure we were well taken care of. I highly recommend party pleasers for the large selection of rentals, lighting, and their amazing DJs -especially Nick! Lastly, Nick was an amazing "game show host" for our scavenger hunt - we made sure the musical chairs were ready, mc'd the entire hunt, and played a different song for each item! The music was amazing - he played all of our must haves, followed our do-not-play list, and had some amazing early 2000s hip-hop mixes.”

While their communication was a bit delayed leading up to the event, they were ultimately effective in executing on the day-of. The DJ kept the party going all night with a good song selection, though they did play 3 Taylor Swift songs in a row at the start, which we would have preferred more variety. The MC's ad-libs got a little overbearing at times, but overall they did a nice job sticking to the schedule and making important announcements. She was extremely kind, incredibly humble for the extensive resume she possesses, and explained her genuine love for the harp. Leading up to the wedding day she was extremely professional, communicated effectively, and in a timely fashion. She communicated with other vendors and made the process so easy, which allowed the seamless transition on the day of. The wedding day was the first time meeting Olivia in person. “Our DJ Devin Clark - Columbus Wedding & Event DJ was the absolute best. He was so attentive to every detail of the wedding, especially during our multiple planning meetings. Everything was so organized. He worked so well with our other vendors to make sure music ran smoothly through the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and reception. He also spoke with every person who would be giving a speech to make sure they knew exactly what to do. The best part about Devin is the energy he brought to the dance floor. He played all of the songs that my husband and I wanted to hear and if I had a request during the wedding he played it right away. You can tell he really enjoys what he does. He is also great at bringing the energy back up on the dance floor. There was one time during the night where everyone cleared out from dancing because it was quite hot. Devin had the idea of slowing it down for a slow dance, which got everyone to come back to the dance floor right before he picked up the beats again. We got so many compliments saying that he played so many good songs and the remixes were also so good. I highly recommend getting Devin from JSP for your event.”
