The Christian Royer House was the best venue for my wedding! What Michelle & Jerry offer for their couples goes above and beyond anything else I've seen offered by other wedding venues & owners. They provide decorations, ceremony centerpieces, two separate floors for the bridal party to get ready, a honeymoon cabin, and a detailed planner with tips and tricks to help you plan a wedding according to their venue. The venue is gorgeous and the fountain in the background made the ceremony so peaceful and romantic. We absolutely loved how our wedding turned out and the support Michelle & Jerry gave us was so helpful! Booking them was the best decision we made during the wedding process and highly recommend 100%!

My daughter and her husband chose Milton Ridge for their wedding venue. I live on the opposite coast so I had no opportunity to have a look myself. She and her husband were very happy with the layout of the property and the location. She assured me that staff were warm and friendly as well as very professional and that all questions were addressed promptly and in great detail. My daughter and her husband felt listened to and respected by everyone at Milton Ridge. I was anxious but it was their wedding and they had done a lot of research! I am overjoyed that they chose Milton Ridge for their very special day!! I spoke to many guests and family members that day and evening; everyone had high praise for the couple’s choice of venue. The property is self-contained with a beautiful turn of the century chapel on the lower level of the property and a very large bricked patio on the upper level; with an enormous wooden gazebo at one end and tiered garden area at the opposite end. Indoor or outdoor wedding?? Hard to choose as both areas are sooooo lovely. The Bridal suite and Grooms quarter are in a building adjacent to the chapel on the lower level of the property. Another turn of the century building with Bridal suite, porch and porch swing on the ground level and the Grooms quarters on the 2nd level via a private enclosed stairway; providing total privacy for both parties and their respective entourages. Both areas were very well appointed, comfortable and large; plenty of room for multiple people in each area to get ready for the big day! The Reception Hall was on the upper level with a porch and short stairway leading from the hall to the outdoor patio. The Hall was fresh and bright with plenty of room for DJ, tables, dance floor, bar and buffet without feeling overfilled or crowded. Bride and Groom chose the bar-b-que menu for their dinner; it was beautifully presented, delicious and plentiful. No one left Milton Ridge hungry that evening! The wait staff and bartenders were all very attentive and had obviously been very well trained at table service and bar service respectively. Music was provided by a DJ who was contracted by Milton Ridge and was included with the package that my daughter and her husband had chosen. The selection was a mix of old and new with the focus of getting the guests up and dancing. He was very good at his job and he accomplished his goal! Last but definitely not least; the photographer; also contracted with Milton Ridge! He was amazing!!! The unique shots, quality and beauty of his work left us speechless. He was everywhere, but never in the way, always inconspicuous and watching for that perfect candid shot. Even his posed photos had a very relaxed casual look about them. All photos were organized and available to the newlyweds on the Milton Ridge website within 10days of their wedding day!! ALL pictures belong to her and her husband to print, copy and share with whoever they wish!! Milton Ridge exceeded my expectation and I would never hesitate to recommend them to anyone!!

Our day was perfect because of the outstanding staff and the care given to this venue! The venue is gorgeous uand our guests raved about how classy the location was and the gorgeous views of our day. Kim checked in with our families throughout and the day to make sure our expectations were met and to alleviate and concerns or potential stressors. If you are looking for a quaint town to have your wedding, you must check out this hidden gem! It is a venue that will have you loving your big day and all the photo opportunities! They are an inclusive venue and never made us feel uncomfortable as an LGBT couple.

Overall, we loved our wedding here! We picked this venue in part because it’s so beautiful that the decor we would need to do would be minimal. We were right about that, and there was even some decor provided by the venue in the form of trees with lights. The organ is absolutely beautiful. There is an inside area with a table that’s perfect for cards, seating charts, and a guest book. The layout with upper areas around the organ makes a nice configuration for guest seating. The biggest downside was the bridal getting ready suite is very small and there isn’t a separate area for the groom, so we got ready and took pictures at a nearby hotel. The grounds are also lovely and were great for first look pictures in the graveyard (which is permissible if done tastefully). You can pay an extra 100/hour for the guests to tour the catacombs under the church, which was a nice touch. My other complaint was the technical difficulties — we couldn’t get the microphone at the podium to work so we had to project, and the bass in the music using their auxiliary system kept going in and out. The grounds keeper kept an eye on things for us in terms of crowd control and lighting.

The moment I saw Bohemia Overlook, I knew it was the Wedding venue for us. The Venue is affordable and offers a good amount of accommodations that other venues do not and would cost extra even. The little things do matter, it adds up as we all know. The Venue kept in great contact with me and responded to me right away with questions I had through the whole experience and worked with me. Such a beautiful Venue. Was nervous when I found out a new owner took over, but realized quickly I didn’t need to be. The new owners kept up with the same pace of communication and response time and even on our Wedding day they greeted us and made sure everything was going good. We even got a beautiful view of the water on the hill for some wedding photos. My Wife and I enjoy coming here for different events and the wine room when it’s open. This place will forever be a cherished memory and not everyone can say that they can go back to where they got married. So much more to say about this place, but without going on a rant, just know this place is amazing. To even include how beautiful the barn looks upstairs at night, wasn’t expecting that since we usually see it during the day.

Worsell Manor could not have been a more perfect vendor for us! From the time we toured in September 2023 to our wedding in September 2024, there was constant communication and helpfulness with the staff there. We were required to have a day-of coordinator, and were so happy we picked one of the staff members at Worsell: Ashlee. We stayed at the house on the property with our wedding party and it was perfect. The staff at Worsell were extremely helpful day of - everything was done behind the scenes for us which was great for us so we didn’t feel stressed. I wish we could do the day all over again!

We had our wedding at The Elkridge Furnace Inn and were thrilled with our experience. The venue itself is gorgeous with beautiful natural surroundings that provided a classic, elegant backdrop for our special day. On the actual wedding day, their coordination was fantastic - they took care of all the little details and vendor logistics allowing us to relax and focus on enjoying ourselves. We booked a tour with Cold Saturday Farm on a whim, but holy cow am I glad that we did! We met with Brittany on a pretty dreary day in the winter, and even then I could see the beauty in the venue. It truly is a blank canvas that you can really make your own. Plus, the venue checked all the boxes that were super important to us: onsite getting ready spaces for both us, free onsite parking, guest tables and chairs included, and access to the venue all day. For the price, it was a great value. Brittany did end up leaving Cold Saturday, and we do wish that had been proactively communicated to us, but her replacement, Meredith, was fantastic, especially because she started the week before our wedding (I'm pretty sure we were her first wedding at the venue). But she was incredibly helpful and friendly--we actually had guests come up to us and tell us how awesome she was! The only other thing I wish we had known ahead of time was that the getting ready room the guys used didn't have any furniture. It was still being worked on during our tours, so we didn't actually see the room until the day of. So the room may have furniture at some point. Overall, we loved Cold Saturday Farm. It is truly a hidden gem (none of our vendors have ever worked there before but all of them said they loved it), so I really love that it was a pretty unique and beautiful place to have our wedding.

If I could give 1000 stars I would! From the moment we arrived at Drumore for our tour to our wedding day, everything was perfect. We are still absolutely gushing over Drumore. it was the perfect venue for our wedding. We wanted a very classic venue and they had it all, from phenomenal staff to incredible food to luxurious facilities, not to mention the stunning views. We could not have asked for better! They truly make you feel like a VIP throughout the wedding process and their top notch events team helps ensure that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. The transitions from ceremony, to cocktail hour, to the reception were seamless. Our Guests were in awe of the views (we also lucked out with absolutely perfect weather), how fantastic the food was the salmon was cooked to perfection and the short rib melted in your mouth!! Every detail was perfectly executed. We could not recommend Drumore Estate enough. It's definitely well-worth the investment for a beautiful, love-filled weekend!" This review has taken forever to write because there are so many wonderful things we want to say about Historic Ashland. When we first started venue hunting, we spent so much time trying to simply get responses to tour requests. We live over an hour from Wrightsville, and my mother lives two hours away, so trying to schedule a tour without being ignored for days by a venue was starting to seem nearly impossible. When we came across HA, we crossed our fingers and sent a message. We got a response before I could even lock my phone, and a tour scheduled in less than 5 minutes. And that basically describes how the rest of wedding planning went for us thanks to their detailed planning guide, which includes a list of preferred vendors, a rental guide for decorations, a timeline for the wedding day, and more. Leah and Amanda always made themselves available to answer any questions we had. From that moment until our wedding day in October 2024, we knew we were in good hands and couldn’t go wrong with the rest of the decisions we had to make. The property itself is stunning, and it was so nice to have various locations to utilize, from getting ready to all the different ceremony locations. Really our hardest decision was where to have the ceremony. We truly have HA to thank for our wedding planning process being so smooth. The entire HA team went above and beyond to make our wedding better than we could have ever imagined. You hear nightmares about how something always goes wrong on a wedding day. The HA team handled absolutely everything for us. All we had to do was show up. Not one thing went wrong. We still have guests texting us to talk about how beautiful the entire day was. Everything was perfect and we cannot thank Leah, Amanda, and the entire team enough. I will recommend this venue to anyone that wants to listen. I hope someone we know gets married there so we can go back as a guest. Not that we need an excuse to go back because Leah is such a gem.

My husband and I had our Christmas-themed wedding at the Eden on December 10th of 2021, and I can’t sing the praises of the wedding coordinators, concierges, catering and janitorial staff enough. From start to finish we felt genuinely cared for by everyone in the resort...and I know how often they host weddings, but each and every person on the Eden team accommodated us in such a joyful way; as if we were the only wedding in the building. And it felt like they were sincerely happy for us. Which made the day feel really, really special. Madeline and Felicia, our wedding/day-of coordinators, attended to every last detail of the day, making sure that absolutely nothing was missed. They were present, intentional, flexible, and at times even borderline protective of me and my family. And that’s anything a bride could ever ask for. I couldn’t be more grateful. As far as the planning process goes: as a project manager, I very much appreciated the explicit, direct nature of their policies and procedures. After offering me several tours of the venue (MOB was from out of town and MOG wanted to see it on separate occasions) and answering all of my many many questions via phone and email, we had several formal meetings to comb through all the details and make sure we were on the same page. Maddie was able to help me delegate and manage my expectations, especially when it came to who was responsible for what, and even then bent over backwards to help me and my bridal party with day-of tasks. Thanks again to everyone on The Eden Resort & Suites staff. You were such a crucial part of our big day and we appreciate your hard work!
