“Sam was an amazing photographer for our elopement. When we decided to elope, we knew the one thing we wanted to invest in was fabulous photos, and we got exactly that and more with Sam! Knowing photography would be our biggest investment, it was paramount that we found the perfect match. We’d interviewed a few other photographers, but they were all from larger companies and had a sort of “cookie cutter” formula for elopements. They were really missing the personal experience we were looking for for our special day. We really wanted an adventure elopement that was unique to us and truly captured that moment, not just posed photos taken in the same landscape that every other couple takes. After talking with Sam and reviewing his previous work, we knew he was the person for the job. We started planning our elopement in 2020 after Covid ruined our original plans. Sam was so communicative and reassuring for the full year we were planning our wedding. On the actual day of our elopement, Sam was a life saver. When our original getting ready location didn’t work out he let us use his van to get ready in - seriously don’t know what we would have done without him. We have never had professional photos taken before and don’t really know how to be in front of a camera, but Sam was incredible by giving us little prompts to help us loosen up and relax. We felt like models by the time we started hiking to our ceremony. Sam took care of us from start to finish, all the way to the fine details of offering snacks and hot drinks throughout the day. It was a cold rainy day the day of our elopement (we eloped in a rainforest - go figure). Sam was nothing but professional and matched our energy the entire time, running up and down the beach, following us to every rock we wanted to climb and every river log we wanted to cross, and capturing every moment in between. Let me tell you - those windy rainy photos are absolutely stunning! I was worried how it might turn out because it wasn’t the sunny day I’d imagined, but Sam worked his magic and the photos are phenomenal. He made all of my Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams kissing on the beach dreams come true. We were driving when we received the sneak peaks and had to pull over and sob with joy as we relived the experience. And that was just the sneak peaks! We couldn’t be happier with how they all turned out! If you’re having trouble deciding on a photographer, I urge you to choose Sam! Hands down the best decision we made!”
