From the start, what stood out was how much he cared about capturing the actual feeling of the day rather than just working through a checklist of poses. He and his co-photographer had a great eye for the in-between moments — the little glances, the laughter, the chaos of getting ready — alongside all the formal shots we expected. Looking through our gallery afterward, so many of our favorite photos are ones we didn't even know were being taken.
He was also just easy and calm to have around on a hectic day, which mattered more than we realized it would. Weddings move fast, and having a photographer who was unobtrusive but always exactly where he needed to be took one more thing off our minds.
One of the things we appreciated most: he and his co-photographer stayed well past the time included in our package, all the way until we started dancing. That extra stretch of time meant they captured some of the best — and funniest — photos of the whole night, catching our friends and family completely in their element on the dance floor. It wasn't something we asked for; they just wanted to make sure they got the shots.
Isaac also went well beyond the package once it came to editing. Our contract included 300 retouched photos, but we ended up with around 550 edited images and 717 total files between web and print resolution, including alternate crops and versions of several favorites. It's clear he genuinely cared about giving us as much of the day as possible, not just fulfilling a contract.
