“We LOVED Katie and are so happy we booked her as our photographer. She is personable and bubbly, so taking photos was super fun. She gets just as excited as you do. She cheers you on the whole night letting you know how cute the photos are and she even showed us a few. She had such great and fun prompts too that made the photos look so natural. My husband and I are both quite camera shy, but she made us feel very comfortable in front of the camera. The most important thing to us in a photographer was timeliness, and Katie delivered. She was able to get all the photos we wanted while maintaining our schedule with ease. She was super respectful and made sure our day was exactly as we wanted it. She was also super communicative and quick to respond during the planning process. She’s also just always on a roll. She got the guests seated when our officiant forgot to do it. She’s very familiar with the wedding etiquettes, and if something was off like that, she was quick to intervene. “Wow… I don’t even know where to start, but the stars literally aligned with Dani (and Jed) from Elle & Co Photography. I found Dani while scrolling bridal Facebook groups, which can be… a lot. Trying not to assume the worst from all the horror stories. I came across her and immediately knew she was it. I sent the message and crossed my fingers. Her photos were exactly the vibe we were going for. We chose to elope near Sleeping Bear Dunes for a reason… the color of the water, the fall tones, all of it. And Mother Nature gave us the most imperfectly perfect day. Wind, sand, rain… you name it. THANKFULLY we had Dani to capture it all. The amount of time, energy, and care she put into our day (and our reception back in Indy... we booked her for both) was beyond anything we expected. Her communication was top notch. She scouted, scouted, and then scouted again. Plans, backup plans, backup backup plans… which we absolutely needed. Most importantly she kept us on. time! We literally showed up to our ceremony spot and got hit with a “nope, not today” thanks to a government shutdown… even though we had permits and confirmations. But Dani already had her little hidden gem location ready to go, and it ended up being incredible. Like… better than what we had originally planned. And let’s talk about the conditions… late October on Lake Michigan, 25 mph winds, sand flying everywhere, and easily 10,000 steps trekking through dunes to chase the best views. Dani was everywhere at once making sure we got every shot. And Jed… running through sand like he trained for this moment. The two of them together are the dream team. Whatever it takes, they make it happen. They didn’t miss a single moment. From travel time to the ceremony, to the little in-between shots… even getting the perfect fall leaves shot with the Sleeping Bear Dunes sign (yes, it took a plenty of tries and yes, it was worth it). Champagne, lanterns, sparklers back at the domes… they captured all of it. And gave us just enough direction so we looked our best without ever feeling staged. And even after all of that, Dani went back and edited like crazy to balance out the fact that while we "looked fine"… we were most definitely freezing. The final photos are unreal. Our day was made by friends, family, and chosen family… and we’re so happy to add Dani and Jed to that circle. #PhotosToFriends for life!”

“Hire Lo. You won't regret it. Not only does she know what she is doing in terms of getting all the planned shots, she got incredible candid shots and live shots of my groom and I, our families, and our guests. As we've been looking back so far at our pictures, we get to relive the emotion of the day. It's the intangible thing that an incredible photographer can do--capture the emotion. I can feel our joy radiating out of our photos and I am so grateful I hired Lo. Years from now we are going to get to experience this day over-and-over because the quality of her photos is incredible. The variety of shots she was able to get makes it seem like she had second shooter (but she's just that good). Our first look was perfect. He was very communicative throughout the whole process, starting with initial meetings on understanding what our vision of our day was— highlighting what would be the important things to us to photograph, especially as we had a very religious ceremony. On the day of our wedding, he brought so much warmth and ease into the busy day! He was very assertive to direct our large family and bridal party during photos and was very creative/directive in all of our poses. “We had two photographers for our 8 hour package and I cannot say enough about how well they worked together. One was doing the big posed family stuff while the other was off catching my little cousins running around the venue and my dad quietly losing it during the ceremony. We got both. That's the whole point of two shooters and they absolutely nailed it. Also want to say the sneak peeks were a genuinely nice surprise. We had photos to send to family within like four days, and they were fully edited, not rough drafts. My mom had one printed and framed before we were even back from our honeymoon. Communication throughout was great too. Nelly kept us in the loop the whole way and never made us feel like we were bothering her. Would book them again in a heartbeat.”
