We, Jame and Eva, started Nitty Gritty Gardens in 2019 with a dream of pursuing our love of farming and flowers. We started by selling our flowers at farmers markets and branched out to weddings and other special events to share our love with others and to be a part of their special day! Eva and Moe are best friends who met while working in the service industry in Boone, North Carolina. Over the years, they’ve attended several weddings and events together. Each time, they’ve found that their passion for serving others never faded. Whether they were creating meals for cabin weekends, crafting charcuterie boards, or bartending for guests, Eva and Moe knew they could come together to create a great business serving the greater Roanoke Valley. Their passion for great cocktails and excellent customer service has paved the way to the creation of Mix Appalachia Mobile Bartending.

Virginia Mountain Vineyards is located on 91 acres nestled between the Blue Ridge and Allehgeny Mountains with gorgeous mountain views. Venue has a beautiful vineyard arbor for wedding ceremonies and the ceremony walkway is a paver pathway lined with red rose bushes. A large tent on a paver patio is available for wedding receptions. The tent is lit with chandeliers and Edison lighting that can be heated or air conditioned and seats up to 250 guests.

My passion for making dreams come true started in 2017 when I entered the floral industry fresh out of college. During my seven year career as a floral designer, I was given an opportunity to try out event coordination at a company in Greensboro. After being thrust into the event world, I very quickly realized that my personable disposition, intuitive nature, and ability to make important decisions in a timely and professional manner gave me an excellent skill set for the wedding planning industry. Now with years of experience under my belt, I'm excited to own and operate my own wedding business in Roanoke, Virginia!
