“If you're looking for a photographer for engagement pictures, a wedding photographer, or a photographer for any other occasion - stop looking! My fiance and I were visiting friends in AZ shortly after our engagement and we booked Maggie for an engagement shoot at sunset while we were there. To say that we are are OBSESSED with our pictures is an understatement. Maggie was so knowledgeable about the lighting at that time of day and utilized the whole landscape to get great pictures with different backgrounds, not JUST different poses from us. We didn't stay in the same spot during the session as she continued to create new angles to adjust to as the sun continued to set. I felt comfortable asking "hey can we try this!?" and Maggie was more than willing to get excited with us about capturing the kind of picture we had in our mind. Maggie also gave us alot of direction on how to maybe tilt our head, or move a hand over a little bit, or recognized that the shot wasn't going to be great so she just scratched it and moved to the next idea. This was extra helpful to me because I didn't have to "guess how to model" and I appreciated that she made good use of her and our time. Maggie works quickly to get a variety of poses and landscapes, is willing to travel, and seems to genuinely love what she does. “It is really hard for me to put into words just how amazing Katie and her husband Matt are. We found them through our friends who used them for their wedding. We knew we wanted to do a destination wedding, and our friends had attended one the year before in Jamaica which Katie and Matt photographed. Because of that wedding, they chose them to be their photographer for their wedding in Michigan. After we saw the photos from the destination wedding and our friend's engagement photos we knew they would be perfect for us. After we saw our friend's wedding photos we knew made the right choice. Katie and Matt from the beginning were super helpful and were incredibly integral on our wedding weekend and day. When they arrived in Mexico, they met up with us and started to work immediately. They came to our rehearsal helping us decide where to put our camera for filming the ceremony and other helpful advice for the day of. They helped find the PERFECT first look location. On the day of the wedding, Katie and Matt were energetic and came ready to help put us to ease. Katie and Matt just have a way of making you feel at ease and then make you look like models. They did a great combination of classic portraits but a lot of candid photos mixed in (which were my favorites). They stayed through the our whole reception and the photos we got look out of a bridal magazine. We had a secondary shoot the day after as a Trash the Dress photo shoot, and the sunset photos we got look like post cards. The only down side of using Katie and Matt is that they gave us too many photos we want to print and get framed! Book them for your destination wedding (or Michigan wedding) and you will absolutely be making the best decision!”

“I am going to try and get off my soapbox for this review but I make no promises. Hiring Jessie Harris and Wildcrest Studios for my wedding was the single best decision I have ever made, except for marrying my husband. We had a small wedding, with a small budget, a very specific vision, no planner or coordinator, and no freaking clue what we were doing. From my first phone call with Jessie I knew that she was something special. She is experienced, organized, diligent, detail oriented, creative, kind, patient, and funny as heck. She truly listens to what you are hoping for and - somehow, despite all odds - she makes it happen. She LITERALLY threw off her shoes and climbed into Lake Michigan to get a shot of my husband and I on a dock at sunset. She kicked the groomsmen out of the area during our first touch because it was ruining the moment and I was too emotional and nervous to say anything. She drove across the state to shoot a pre-wedding reception for us. Alex, the second shooter, tied my husband’s bow tie for him before he walked down the aisle… and my brother’s… and my dad’s… and I’m pretty sure half the groomsmen’s bow ties too. She helped us create the timeline for our wedding day. She even gave us advice on what to pick for our first dance. And, to top it all off, she has provided us with the most unbelievable and stunning engagement, reception, and wedding day photos I could have imagined. Grateful doesn’t begin to cover how I feel when thinking about finding Jessie and Wildcrest Studios. Do yourself a favor and at least send an inquiry. Or don’t, and I’ll keep her all to myself :)”

“Nelena and Dom took photos at my rustic/modern wedding at cider mill in Princeton, Illinois. Once the four of us met, my husband and I loved how easy it was to speak to Nelena and Dom and how they immediately understood where we were coming from.
