“We couldn't have asked for a better experience with Worthington Vineyards & Winery. The winery is a hidden gem in Somers, CT. From our first conversation through the day of the bridal shower, the team answered every question we had and stayed available to help with any needs that came up. The location itself is stunning— vineyards, gorgeous views of multiple ponds, and a charming covered bridge made the perfect backdrop. We'd actually attended a bridal shower and another wedding there before booking my bridal shower and wedding there. The whole vibe of the place is special, and their adorable winery pup Champ adds the perfect touch to the events held there. We'd recommend Worthington to any couple looking for a venue that's both beautiful and genuinely cared for by the people running it. The new building that will be completed in 2027 will enhance weddings & bridal showers even more”

“We discovered this venue through Zola and fell in love with it immediately from the very first look online. Right away, we knew it felt like the perfect place for our wedding day! We scheduled a tour on January 29, 2023, and brought our parents along because we wanted to see if they liked it as much as we did. Seeing the venue in person, we knew it was the perfect place to celebrate our wedding. Moira showed us every detail of the property, including the Barn and the Winthrop Room (the two reception spaces), the Alpheus Room (indoor ceremony space), the patio, and the beautiful lawn where we could take family, wedding party, and bride-and-groom photos. By the end of the tour, we knew this was the one, and we officially booked our wedding for October 26, 2024. Throughout the planning process, the venue staff’s professionalism and experience stood out. Moira was able to answer any and all questions we had about any aspect of the wedding from the dimensions of the arbor in the Alpheus room to special meal accommodations for a guest. Also, we initially planned our ceremony for 5 PM but realized that with our late-October date, we wouldn’t have enough daylight for formal photos after the ceremony. We talked to Moira, and we were able to adjust the timeline, pushing the ceremony earlier so we could capture outdoor photos before sunset. On the big day, everything exceeded our expectations! The food was a highlight, with our guests raving about all of the food, which included filet of beef, grilled salmon, vegetable lasagna, and chicken tenders for all the kids (or kids at heart). The venue also ensured that we had some food to eat during the photo session during cocktail hour to make sure that we were happy and not hangry while taking pictures! Because of the earlier ceremony time, we were able to utilize the gazebo on the property for some formal photos and a first look with Kayla and her dad before the ceremony. During the cocktail hour, we took the remaining photos out on the lawn with the stunning fall colors as a backdrop. Overall, The Barn at Wight Farm supported us in every way and did everything necessary to give us the wedding of our dreams. We can’t recommend it more!”

“Wright’s Mill Farm gave us the wedding day of our dreams — truly, I don’t even have the words for how perfect everything was. From the moment we booked, Bri was an absolute angel. She coordinated every detail with so much care, patience, and flexibility. No matter what I needed or how many times I changed my mind, she was right there making everything feel easy and stress-free. I could feel how much she genuinely cared about our day, and that meant the world. The staff the night of our wedding was beyond amazing. Every single person brought such warmth and energy, and the bartenders were absolutely stellar — they kept the party going, kept every guest happy, and did it all with huge smiles. Our friends and family are still talking about how incredible they were. The food and appetizers were delicious, beautifully presented, and exactly what we hoped for. And the s’mores bar? Such a perfect, cozy, magical touch that made the night feel even more special. Standing there with the people we love, in a place so stunning and cared for by a team that truly goes above and beyond, felt like living inside a dream. I wish I could do it a thousand times over. “Salem Cross Inn checked all our boxes for the perfect venue. It was affordable and included an outdoor ceremony location as well as an indoor ceremony location in case of rain. Luckily, the weather was gorgeous for our early Autumn wedding to allow us to be married outside. Our guest list was small, less than 50 people, which allowed us to rent The Brookfield Room on the second floor. This was perfect for us and provided us with a dance room and recpetion room. The bridal suite gave us sanctuary to have our makeup and hair done while our amazing photographer wandered around capturing our day. The backdrop of a beautiful farm landscape made for the perfect fantasy enchanted forest wedding theme. But the staff were the real stars in our day as they made everything incredibly easy. Donna and Nancy checked in on us to make sure we were all set. They helped with some quick changes and genuinely enjoyed our party. Hailee was a superstar! She took care of anything we needed, made sure that our stuff was safe and was wonderful with the kids at our party. I cannot say enough amazing things about this venue. I am grateful for their professionalism, joy and the food was absolutely mouthwatering!!”

Some ideas need time and space to materialize. Transforming an old rodeo horse farm into a creative compound for events and projects has proven to be a challenging example. Over time, thoughtful outbuildings and spaces are popping up throughout a fourteen-acre campus of oak forests and wild meadows. One hundred feet of wiggly barn welcomes experiences from intimate projects to large wedding celebrations with loved ones. Now, it’s a steady push towards sustainable, creative projects working in sync with the natural surroundings. Get out in the woods, get a little weird. Try to have a good time. “When we were looking for a wedding venue, we wanted a place where we could create a day that was totally ours. Okay Island exceeded every expectation we had. Our biggest priority was that everyone had something fun to do. We knew not everyone on our guest list was a big dancer, and Adam helped us plan a fire pit to sit around with cornhole boards; he even let us bring in a ping pong table for guests to play at. Probably one of the most special parts of booking with Okay Island was that Adam spoke of so many plans he had to continue to have the space grow and evolve. It felt really special to be able to get married in a space that was just a snapshot of the venue’s story, knowing that we were part of the ride. Our guests had such a great time. So many of them suggested we host a party at Okay Island every year! We're big fans of that idea”

“We could not have asked for a better wedding venue—or a better coordinator—than what we found here. From the very beginning, Alyson was an absolute dream to work with. She made the entire planning process feel easy and stress-free, always kind, composed, and incredibly helpful. Even with the usual wedding chaos and a forecast that turned into torrential rain, Alyson never once lost her cool. She handled everything with grace and calm, and we genuinely feel like we hit the jackpot having her by our side. Thanks to her, the day came together perfectly. She played a huge part in creating what truly was the best day of our lives. The barn itself is stunning, and even though the weather didn’t cooperate, the venue’s gorgeous new pavilion gave us a beautiful backup plan that kept everything feeling magical and cozy. Our guests loved it, and we were so relieved to know we were in such good hands. Also, the dinner was delicious—we received so many compliments on the food. Every detail was thoughtfully executed, and we’re still glowing from the experience. If you’re looking for a venue with heart, beauty, and someone as amazing as Alyson to help bring your day to life, this is it.”

“Carissa, Lynn and the whole Hartman's team did an incredible job on our wedding. Carissa made delicious food and worked with us to dial in exactly what flavors we wanted to pull in from our respective cultures. Her cake was delicious and we could not get enough even after she set aside big pieces for us to take home. Lynn was wonderful to work with on the flowers and decorations. It was so nice to bounce ideas with her, hear her suggestions on the color scheme and what flowers she could grow or order or make for our wedding. They worked with our budget giving us options we felt happy with, mixing and matching some of the premium offerings with more affordable ones. We felt heard and welcomed every time we stopped by the venue in the months before the wedding and even since. The forest and flowers on the property were beautiful and lush during our fall wedding. We chose to rent the BnB rooms which made life so much easier during our hectic days. We could not recommend them enough.”

“We had our wedding at South Farms on the most beautiful day in August 2025 (August 23rd), and we could not have asked for a more seamless, enjoyable, and memorable experience. From start to finish, everything felt effortless thanks to the incredible staff—especially our planner, Sam Blick. Her expertise, attention to detail, and excellent communication made the entire process so easy for us. Sam and the team went above and beyond to bring our vision to life. They supported us with décor decisions, room layout, and the day-of flow, and even made the week leading up to the wedding stress-free by letting us drop off décor items early. In fact, Sam even started unboxing and decorating for us the day before (well outside of her job description!), which was such a kind and thoughtful surprise. They even hosted a “decor trial,” allowing us to mock up flowers, tablescapes, and other details in advance—which was a huge help in visualizing the day. And then there’s the venue itself—absolutely stunning. Our guests (and us!) were in awe of the rolling hills, the wildflowers in bloom, and of course, the iconic White Barn, which truly feels like a centerpiece on its own. The setting gave us the perfect mix of elevated elegance and intimate charm—we didn’t need to add much to make the day feel beautiful and special. We also have to talk about the food. This is not your typical “wedding food.” The executive chef is unbelievably talented and flexible, serving dishes that highlight thoughtful, locally sourced ingredients. It felt like dining at a true farm-to-table restaurant. Weeks later, we’re still getting texts from guests raving about the lobster rolls and filet mignon! We’ve been to weddings where the food was cold or forgettable—South Farms was the complete opposite. Yes, the price point is higher, but if food is important to you, it’s absolutely worth it. We left feeling confident that we got every bit of value out of our investment. We are so grateful we chose South Farms as our wedding venue. It gave us the most perfect day, and we cannot wait to come back for their socials and events to relive memories of our favorite day at our favorite place.”

“My wife & I had the privilege to get married surrounded by our friends & family at the beautiful Montague Retreat Center in June of 2024. There’s a seemingly endless list of what drew us to MRC, but some key features to highlight: - Incredibly beautiful indoor & outdoor spaces - Comfortable, spacious, and accessible on-site lodging options - Flexible weekend buyout, enabling us to bring all of our ideas to life without much restriction or hurdles - Wheelhouse Catering: some of the best wedding food we’ve ever tasted in our lives - All of Montague staff, especially Jason Jason deserves his own dedicated review, but from the planning stages all the way through until the end of our weekend, Jason made himself available and ready to help. Jason referred several our vendors that made our day go off without a hitch, all of whom brought creative and personal touches that made our day so special. He consistently went above and beyond day of as well, from catching decorations that needed to be put out, to being hands-on assisting guests that needed extra help, and facilitating vendors to ensure everything was in its right place. His knowledge and general presence brought a calming energy that really helped us feel at home at MRC. For our wedding weekend (170 guests), we really took advantage of all we could at MRC. We observed first hand and heard from guests after our wedding that they felt they had plenty of space to enjoy themselves comfortably through the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and reception. With the full weekend rented, we used every square inch that the venue offered: - Friday: Portable Brick Oven Pizza in front of the Great Hall - Saturday AM: family provided breakfast buffet near the dining tent - Ceremony: Outdoor up on the ceremony ring - Cocktail Hour: Custom Poetry and plenty of activities all around the barn - Reception: Live band with stage lighting & sound; DJ later in the evening - Saturday Night: Late night fire pit & snacks for the wedding party - Sunday AM: Bagel sandwiches from Tandem Bagel in the lower level of the barn We can’t stress enough how perfect our weekend was at MRC. Montague Retreat Center will always hold a special place in our hearts, as it left a lasting impact on not only us, but our friends and family as well. At the end of our wedding weekend, many of our family members suggested that we rent out the space for a night every few years for a recurring big family bash. We may have to do just that!”

“We recently had a wedding rehearsal dinner at Gallifords. We are not from the area and the wedding venue gave us a list of suggestions for the rehearsal dinner. We tried several other venues but was most impressed with Gallifords. Initially we were skeptical about having the event at the zoo. Gallifords was the most accommodating of any other restaurant. The private function room came with a private patio with views of the zoo. We had three staff members take care of our event. The food was outstanding. The staff was beyond outstanding and made the event even more special.”

Whatever you imagine for your event, we're here to help you realize your dreams. We'll help you every step of the way, from planning and budgeting to coordinating the day. We open our home to you and take away all the stress of planning your dream day. We want to make your day about who you are.

“I cannot speak highly enough about our experience hosting our wedding at The Curtis House by Gloriosa & Co. My husband and I got married a couple of weeks ago (September 2024) and our wedding was truly one the happiest, best days of our lives thanks to the love and personalization that Gloria and Emma put into planning and executing our day. We were drawn to so many things about the venue, including the charming setting of Ashfield, the rustic but modernized aesthetic of the barn, the beautiful gardens and greenhouse, and the house being an available space to get ready. We were also drawn to the convenience and uniqueness of being able to provide our floral arrangements from Gloria’s greenhouse and gardens on-site, and having all of the food and beverages taken care of through the venue’s catering and bar team. But what made us decide to book this venue for our special day was the attention that Gloria and Emma give each couple. This venue is not your typical wedding factory that puts on weddings multiple times a week, every week of the year; Gloria and Emma host between 12-15 weddings per year and consequently each couple they work with gets full access to the venue the weekend of their wedding and so much guidance during the planning process. We were able to cultivate a vegetarian menu consisting of so many of our favorite foods plus a number of signature dishes of the venue, such as a butternut squash galette that was a crowd favorite. Sustainability is also incredibly important to us as a couple, and Gloria and Emma are committed to sourcing only local, seasonal ingredients for the food and florals and minimizing waste, which meant so much to us. In terms of decor and furnishings, the venue has so much available for couples to use, such as tables, chairs, ceremony benches, several wedding arches to choose from, displays for food or guest favors, tableware, candles, string lights, and more. We did not have to rent or coordinate anything other than the few DIY projects we made, which Gloria and Emma effortlessly integrated into the set up for us. Being able to take care of practically everything through Gloria and Emma made planning so much simpler. On the wedding day, Gloria, Emma, and their team handled the venue set up in a few hours, which happened like a choreographed dance that required practically no work from us or our wedding parties other than providing input and approval along the way. Everything went extremely smoothly and we were able to be fully present. After our ceremony, my husband and I returned to the house, where Gloria had set up champagne and a spread of our hors d'oeuvres for us to enjoy over a few minutes of privacy, which is something she had recommended we do as we took in the moment together. Our guests have had nothing but positive things to say about our wedding and it was clear the day of how much fun everyone had. We have received so many compliments about how beautiful and authentic the venue was, how exquisite Gloria’s floral arrangements were, how delicious all of the food was (even the heavy meat-eaters loved the vegetarian menu), and how this will be a wedding they will always remember. Gloria made us feel like part of her family and we were so happy to be able to support her business. We truly could not have asked for a more memorable, personalized, loving, and beautiful wedding, and hope that many other couples have the pleasure of getting married at this special place.”

“Our wedding venue was an absolute 10/10, and we truly could not have imagined a more perfect place to celebrate our day. From the moment we first visited, we fell in love with the beautiful rustic barn setting. It had all the charm and warmth of a classic barn venue while still feeling elegant, elevated, and thoughtfully designed. The property itself was stunning, and having both our ceremony and cocktail hour outdoors created the most beautiful atmosphere for our guests. The scenery provided the perfect backdrop for our celebration and made the entire day feel magical. What truly set this venue apart, however, was the incredible staff. Every single person we interacted with was friendly, professional, accommodating, and genuinely invested in making our day special. Throughout the planning process and on the wedding day itself, they went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. We especially appreciated their willingness to accommodate dietary restrictions and religious meal preferences for our guests. They handled every request with care, respect, and attention to detail, making everyone feel welcomed and included. On the wedding day, the staff continually exceeded our expectations. They stepped in to solve last-minute issues before we even knew they existed, helped with decorations and setup, and made sure every detail came together beautifully. Their calm, can-do attitude allowed us to relax and fully enjoy our wedding, knowing we were in excellent hands. The level of service, attention, and genuine care we received was extraordinary. Our guests are still talking about how beautiful the venue was and how wonderful the staff were throughout the entire event. If you’re looking for a venue that combines rustic charm with elegance, breathtaking outdoor spaces, exceptional service, and a team that truly cares about your experience, we cannot recommend this venue highly enough. They played a huge role in making our wedding day everything we dreamed it would be and more.”
