“5 stars is not enough. Our wedding was without a doubt the most perfect event we could have ever wished for. From the beginning planning stages, Hattie, Lauren, Kelley, everyone was so incredibly responsive, helpful and answered a million questions from myself or my mom. They worked with us to ensure everything was perfect, and we could not have had a more elegant wedding without the help of the entire venue staff. From day of Rob and everyone who assisted made sure things ran so smoothly. One of our busses was delayed due to traffic (Memorial Day Weekend- no surprise there) & even with the minor inconvenience the staff made sure that things ran so smoothly that myself (the bride) and my guests really had no clue things were pushed back a tiny bit. The food was outstanding, the service was impeccable. We had our cocktail hour both inside & outside and adding a second bar was ideal. We added a sushi bar, and my guests are still talking about how delicious it was. They accommodated all of our requests with ease, and I wish I could relive the day and night over and over again. All of my vendors informed me during the planning process just how professional and wonderful the venue is, and it could not be more true. They all worked seamlessly with Riverhouse. Our personal attendants were wonderful, ensuring myself and my husband had the best day and night of our lives. Most venues do not offer suites for grooms, and I am so happy that the men were able to have their own place to relax and hangout. our bridal suite was prepared perfectly for us with champagne snacks and everything we needed. Quality service is hard to come by these days, but every single staff member working at our wedding went above and beyond to make sure my husband, myself and my guests had an incredible night. My guests are still raving weeks later about the wedding. I could not recommend this venue and the entire staff enough, get married here!!! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the most perfect wedding!!! ️️️”

“I could not have asked for a better experience with this venue. It speaks for itself, but the decor and indoor spaces just add to the overall beauty. They have multiple areas for photos, both indoor and outdoor. The staff was also incredible to work with. I cannot say enough good things as they were more than willing to accommodate us and it truly seemed like it was their goal to make us happy. I would highly recommend the Vineyards!”

“The Mansion at West Sayville is a gorgeous venue inside and out, and we’re so happy we chose it for our wedding. We loved the vibe from our first visit. It doesn't feel like a wedding factory, but being a Lessing's Venue you know they know what they are doing. Bob was down to earth, practical, and never tried to upsell us or pressure us into adding anything we didn’t need. Anytime I emailed Bob with a question, he responded within minutes and was always very on top of things. On the day of, everything about the wedding itself went so smoothly. Ann Marie the maitre d and Camille the bridal attendant were sweet, attentive, and so good at what they do. They set up our decor so beautifully and packed it away in an organized way at the end of the wedding. Ann Marie kept everything running smoothly, and Camille made sure we always had whatever we wanted, from food and bar drinks to our own pitcher of water when she noticed we were “the most hydrated couple she’d ever worked with” (lol). The bartender and all of our waitstaff were so attentive and wonderful too. The food was delicious and we got so many compliments about it, and about our venue in general. Our wedding day was truly unforgettable and The Mansion at West Sayville played a huge role in that!”

“I honestly forget if I already wrote a review for The Lace Factory, but recently I was reflecting on our wedding day and a few things stuck out that had me so thankful we held our reception at The Lace Factory. From the beginning of the planning process the team is extremely clear and communicative. I love a checklist and theirs is one that ensures nothing will be forgotten. Our guests are still sharing how gorgeous the venue was, how incredible the food spread was, and one detail I was surprised by, from my cousin who has been to their fair share of large celebrations. "The food was not only delicious, but they managed to serve such a large group and the food was actually hot!" This speaks to the well-oiled machine that is The Lace Factory and it must be emphasized that this machine has heart. They accomplished another feat of having my family and I not worry about the severe allergy of my dad, as they adjusted the menu accordingly, without us having to miss out on all the options. This carried over to assist some guests who also had specific dietary needs. I realize this sounds boring, but it is wonderful to know your guests are safe and fed and focus on the celebrating! “Full disclaimer, my husband and I both work for Connecticut Wedding Group. So, you may think this post is a tad biased, but we'd have to disagree... You see at the start of our engagement we did entertain some "obligatory" research, but, this was incredibly short lived. We came to the quick conclusion, before we even got to scheduling tours, that there's simply no way we could ever put our biggest investment in anyones hands but our own planning & culinary teams. Every weekend we see our couples share their big day with all of the most important people in their lives. A moment you only get once, and our team pours their whole hearts into making every minute pure perfection. My husband was (hands down) here for the food, while I was here so I didn't need to plan my own wedding and worry about all the logistics that my brain normally can't avoid. Our guests continue to rave. It was the best day ever, and we are so deeply grateful to our team for doing what they do. Our only regret is we can't do it again and again and again.”

“I have loved coming to the Essex Steam Train & Riverboat museum since I was a child so when my husband and I got engaged, we knew we had to get married here. It was such a magical venue and was reasonably priced. They truly don't try to nickel-and-dime you like a lot of other wedding venues, they just want you to have a good experience. The bridal suite was a beautifully decorated air-conditioned train car. We also decided to add on a roundtrip steam train ride down to the CT river and a steamboat cruise as our cocktail hour (honestly didn't cost as much as you'd think...). Our reception was inside the hall and was perfectly air-conditioned and decorated. We did a buffet option and the food was good! If you decide to get married outside, just remember that it IS an active train yard so make sure your officiant has a microphone. Meredith and Tyler were very easy to work with while planning the event. I highly recommend getting married here. Oh, and your photos will look INSANE.”
