Woodland Floral Design Co.

Proud Cat & Dog Mom // Your New Wedding Vendor BFF It’s never been just about pretty flowers to me. I started out in social work because I wanted to serve and connect with others. I first entered the floral design world as an intern in 2016 and noticed a lack of originality in designs and a need for more connection between the florist and the couple. When I started WFD in 2019, I decided to prioritize both artistic designs and building long-term relationships with each couple. Planning my own wedding in 2021 gave me an even deeper appreciation for the importance of receiving creative expertise and genuine support from wedding vendors.

From the moment I said yes, I knew florals would be the highlight of decor for our wedding day. Flowers hold such sentimental value for me because I’d spend my springs planting hundreds of annuals with my baba: zinnias, dahlias, snapdragons, marigolds, begonias, etc. Going to my grandparents house was like going to a magical flower garden, and I wanted to recreate that feeling for our guests. After seeing Misha’s previous floral designs, I knew she would be able to bring what I had in mind to life; she did that and then some. The florals she lined my aisle with were exactly what I pictured: lush, whimsical, fun and filled with purples, oranges and greens. Those florals were then repurposed as centerpieces in the main reception tent and somehow became even more mystical underneath that lighting. On our way to the tent, we were amazed at the flowers on the seating chart wall. Dahlias and snapdragons, two of my absolute favorites… in colors that left me feeling the moody, romantic vibe I wanted and had described in design meetings with Misha leading up to the day. The flowers that adorned the tent’s entrance and up the poles created the most magical atmosphere. Sitting at our sweetheart table, we were surrounded by more florals that were repurposed from the ceremony; this time I believe from the gazebo, one of the most sentimental pieces of the day. Our reception tent really felt like a magical flower garden filled with our favorite people; exactly what we wanted for our wedding day.

Fiddlestix Florals and Wedding Coord

4.9

  • Starts at $1,500
  • Serves Dry Run, PA

My earliest memories are always centered around picking flowers in my mothers gardens. I would grab one of the glass bottles she collected and play around with any flowers I could find. Flower design is my passion. My shop is located in our 150 year old barn that in itself is full of character. I try to be a vendor who is easy and fun to work with. I am human and understand money does not grow on trees so I try my hardest to work within the client's budget. Each bouquet I create tells a story, each unique beautiful.

Awarded Best of Zola
I am not sure my wedding would have felt as beautiful and magical as it did without Fiddlestix. Tiara was so incredible throughout the entire process. I can’t say enough about how great this experience was! The flowers looked incredible and were exactly what I wanted. But the real star was the coordinating service. Tiara went above and beyond what we even knew we were buying with the day-of coordinating contract. She was there for us for so much and helped us more than I could have asked. No detail was too small or nuanced for Tiara. I am a perfectionist with a keen attention to detail and Tiara exceeded every expectation I could have had. She never treated us like we were asking for too much and was flexible as we changed our minds on certain details. Tiara and Kelsie did an incredible job on the day of the wedding making sure everything ran smoothly. They took care of everything so that my husband and I could truly relax and enjoy our wedding day. Tiara took care of a difficult vendor that was causing me grief and that really meant the world to us on our wedding day. We were worried we may have had too many decorations or too many moving parts, but none of this was a challenge to Tiara and Kelsie. And even if it was, they did not show it! I have high standards in general and often have trouble not being in control of things because I am very particular, but with Tiara I was actually able to trust her and enjoy my day. This is not a compliment I give lightly and one that I mean wholeheartedly. The Fiddlestix team was by far our favorite wedding vendor (and we really had some great ones!) I cannot recommend them enough!

  • Starts at $3,000
  • Serves Dry Run, PA

Helianthus and Lace is a wedding and event floral design business serving the deeply in love. Helianthus is the Latin term for sunflower and comes from the root Helio and Greek Helios, meaning Sun. As sunflowers are growing and beginning to bloom, they turn their heads towards the sun. I find this to be a great analogy for life - always look on the bright side. Flowers have been a part of my life since 2014, and I have been flowering weddings since 2018. I'm so glad you are here!

Awarded Best of Zola
Helianthus and Lace were the perfect florists for our wedding day. Their communication was fast, direct, and always responsive, which made the planning process seamless. The quality of their work was truly exceptional - detailed, creative, beautiful, lush, and picture perfect. They helped bring my unique bud vase seating chart to life in a stunning way, and their florist Amanda was so kind and patient in guiding me through the process, even though I had no prior floral experience. Our bouquets, centerpieces, and ceremony decor were all breathtaking, and we received countless compliments from our guests. I cannot recommend Helianthus and Lace highly enough for any couple planning their wedding.

Splints & Daisies

5.0

  • Starts at $4,000
  • Serves Dry Run, PA

Tara has been a long time flower lover and plant geek. Growing up she was a rambunctious toddler and decided to get a head start in the horticulture industry by eating her mothers house plants. This mostly resulted in the poison control center being called repeatedly, but also instilled in her the love of all things "green and growing". She has had her hands in the dirt and been playing with flowers her whole life. With an art background in her family, florals became her artistic expression.

I wish we could give ten stars. If you have the chance to use Splits and Daisies, don’t think twice. Book them!! Tara and her team are amazing. She transformed my ideas and thoughts into a reality. They completely out did themselves and gave us more than we expected. From the bud vases to the flower towers, and center pieces everything was thoughtfully done. She even hand delivered my bouquet to me the morning of our wedding. She’s such a talented artist!! We received compliment after compliment about the florals. The fact that she is environmentally friendly was also a huge plus, she doesn’t use a bunch of chemicals and florist foam, which was important to us. If you are still considering booking, DO IT!! You will be so happy! The florals were a HUGE highlight to our day.

Walnut Hill Creations

5.0

  • Starts at $2,000
  • Serves Dry Run, PA

I am a farmer’s wife, momma to four, two in-laws, and "mamaw" to three little ones. I have a love for all things pretty especially flowers! I was fortunate to have a grandmother that loved flowers, taught me how to care for them and allowed me to make bouquets from her flower gardens. I've always enjoyed combining different elements to an arrangement and creating something unique. Much of my learning started in my grandmother’s flower gardens many years ago. I enjoyed treating friends and family members to special flower arrangements. Now that my children are grown, I decided to take the leap and open my own flower business.

The floral arrangements came out so beautiful! I wasn’t sure about bouquets and she was able to point me in the right direction!

Blossom Bliss

  • Starts at $5,000
  • Serves Dry Run, PA

Located in York, PA, Blossom Bliss is a homegrown floral design company run by Kristen Adams. Specializing in unique floral installations + wedding day florals, Kristen and her team bring artistry and a fresh, organic style to your special events.

Kristen and the entire team at Blossom Bliss are incredible. Even from the very first intro call, Kristen's expertise, passion and kindness were apparent – and that remained true throughout the entire wedding planning process. She was responsive and worked closely with us to make sure our proposal was exactly what we wanted it to be. But most importantly, the way Kristen and her team brought our vision to life on our wedding day left us absolutely speechless (literally had no words when we first saw the reception space). The arrangements that she created were stunning, BEYOND anything that we even envisioned. Her work really pulled the entire event together, and so many guests commented on the incredible tablescapes as well. Also, I love that Blossom Bliss donates all remaining flowers (I believe they go to nursing homes and/or local hospitals if I'm remembering correctly). Knowing that the flowers were going to put a smile on someone else's face, rather than get thrown away after the wedding, brought a lot of joy. I highly, highly, highly recommend hiring Blossom Bliss for your event. You will not be disappointed!

Awarded Best of Zola
The flowers (on our order) came in large boxes, but they were not labeled, so it took a minute to get the flowers both identified and properly set up. To be fair we were warned about the process, but not about the length of time due to our inexperience. As a note, it took my fiancé 5 hours to process the flowers when first receiving them. I also did not have any updates from them from the time I ordered till they were being shipped. They were beyond more affordable compared to other florists, and the flowers arrived alive and in good spirits. We were able to keep the flowers alive for over four days!! Many of the flowers that we chose did not have specific instructions, so we had to follow the general reference for the flowers and hope for the best. Additionally, some of the flowers that we wanted were not in stock, and they were replaced for us with substitutes but were not notified until we had all of the flowers already delivered to us. Also, as a note, bloom culture uses third party sellers for their flowers, so the quality may vary depending on location. Our flowers were in good condition, and the company we had clearly took good care of the flowers prior to delivering them to us. Would we do it again? Probably not, but it made for good laughs and bonding time and we have stories to tell from it!

Growing up on a tree farm, plants quickly became part of my life. Observing how they grow, getting excited by the seasonal changes, and foraging to create arrangements became my passion. I love weddings and celebrations and incorporating flowers and greenery and unexpected touches.

I'm still so in love with the florals Kelly created for our wedding! We wanted to focus on using seasonal, local florals (as much as possible for a November wedding) and Kelly totally got our vision. She was super easy and fun to work with. Using seasonal flowers, we didn't know what exactly what would end up being available, but we totally trusted Kelly—it was clear she put so much thought and love into her floral designs. The final product was more beautiful than I could have imagined. Thank you Kelly for everything!

Katie was amazing to work with! She helped tailor our flowers to keep within our budget, and they came out AMAZING. I'm so happy I get to keep them as an amazing keepsake. Everyone at the wedding was floored that they were paper and not real. And having quotes from our favorite books to look at all day was just a memorable experience.

I hired Hannah for florals and planning for my wedding in April of 2024 in Leesburg, VA, and was so happy I did! I asked for bright, colorful florals and Hannah exceeded my expectations. I LOVE how my bouquet and the other floral decor turned out - they were beautiful without looking overly styled and were very unique (especially compared to the standard wedding florals I've seen!). I also leaned on Hannah and her expertise when selecting other decor (e.g., candles, place settings, etc.) as well as other vendors, which really helped pull everything together. In addition to her design skills, Hannah is very easy to work with. She is kind and really listened to what I was hoping to have at our wedding (even if it changed a few times lol). I highly recommend hiring Hannah and will be recommending her to my friends getting married in the DMV area!
