The Wild Rose Dairy was owned and operated by the Oiland family for over 50 years. The cows are gone now, but for four generations the family has continued to operate the farm. We have remodeled our fifty-year-old hay barns into The Barn on Wild Rose Prairie. We've worked hard to maintain the rustic charm of the property, while adding the modern amenities you would want from an event facility. ​The Hitchin' Barn is an outdoor rustic elegant event venue, located near Blanchard, between Newport WA and Spirit Lake ID. (Only 45 minutes form Coeur d'Alene, Spokane or Sandpoint.) Our little piece of paradise is surrounded by 400 acres of private land: flower meadows, horse pastures, pine forests and grass fields. The Hitchin' Barn is the ideal place for a country wedding, but the barn can be dressed up or dressed down to match any style of event. We're open from mid-May through October and we can easily accommodate up to 200 guests inside the barn, and a lot more outdoor.

Rustic Meadows has 10 acres of spacious country setting with pine trees, aspens, a large meadow and a 4000 square foot heated barn for that perfect country setting. We have three locations for your Ceremonies or Receptions. The most popular is the groomed meadow that includes a wonderful backdrop of Aspen trees and Timothy grass. Our wedding business started out with me shooting a wedding video for a very dear friend of mine in 2017. I posted the video to a Facebook business page and BOOM! It received 200,000 views and we started receiving hundreds of inquiries from couples around the PNW. Every year I would book 30-40 weddings doing photo and video for couples. When COVID struck, we had a year crashing into the next year. We had to adapt. So I grew our company to 8 teams of pro photographers/videographers to cover weddings around the US. The property boasts not only forests, but also a prairie, lawns, a nine-foot waterfall, a pond with a fountain, and a tranquil creek.
