The 1929 California Mission Revival style structure was built for the SJWC and designed by the notable architectural firm of Wolfe & Higgins. The Historic Venue provides in-kind donation of lowered cost rental of the SJWC to local community and arts groups for fund-raising events, performances and meetings. Rent the entire Historic Landmark Venue for your event, you and up to 350 guests have the use of the entire facility including the Landmark ballroom, tea room, kitchen and fireside room.

The Landmarks Art & Garden Center, a lovingly renovated historic cottage and garden, offers a unique setting for weddings and special events! Drivers who stream along Richardson Bay on the commute to and from Tiburon have a wonderful panoramic bay view, which sweeps from Sausalito to Strawberry Point and Mt. Tamalpais. A beautiful new addition to that view is the Landmarks Art and Garden Center, a lovingly renovated house and property from Tiburon’s earliest years, that is now a superb setting for weddings and special events. Once you reach this facility, you’re enveloped in another world and sensibility. As you pass the deep green expanse of lawn on your way in, you can picture having your ceremony on it, or perhaps joining your guests for an old-fashioned game of croquet.

The Clubhouse is ideal for gatherings of up to 100 people. The building, designed by Charles E. Hodges was constructed in 1916. The Clubhouse is a lovely venue for private parties, weddings, recitals and off-site meetings. Guests enter through a charming portico on Homer Avenue into a spacious foyer. The main room is a simply designed space with grand proportions. On two sides, tall windows flood the room with light, which reflects off polished maple floors. Eight brass-and-glass fixtures are suspended from the high ceiling, and dark wood wainscoting and trim throughout add period character. This room includes a stage, framed by a red velvet curtain and illuminated by footlights. There is a grand piano available for musical accompaniment. Buffets are usually set up in the adjacent Fireside Room which is joined to the main room by folding French doors.
