The Flower Spot
Rating: 5.0 (34 reviews)
·Ratings include Zola and Google reviews
  • Starts at $1,050
  • Serves Cushing, ME

The Flower Spot is a small floral studio in Richmond, Maine, owned and designed by Anne Clark. We work from the ground floor of a circa-1854 house on the Kennebec River — the same house that hosts intimate weddings out back. Anne designs every wedding herself. No account manager, no template package menu, no upsell script. You tell her what you love — a color, a photo, your grandmother's garden — and she builds outward from there. Bouquets, boutonnieres, ceremony arches, aisle florals, centerpieces, cake flowers, and installations. Whether it's one bouquet or every table in the room, the care is exactly the same.

“I Loved all of the floral arrangements. Just what I wanted. They did outstanding with communications, details, everything. I loved everything. Thank you for everything!! Highly recommend! Got many reviews/comments from the guests”

First Time's the Charm

PLEASE INQUIRE USING OUR WEBSITE LINK! We are two best friends, Sophie and Lauren, who turned our shared love of flowers into a true passion project! What started as creative fun has grown into a business rooted in trust, collaboration, and thoughtful design. We specialize in florals that feel joyful, personal, and inspired by nature. Once you decide to work with us, the planning shifts fully off your shoulders and onto ours. Our goal is to be the easiest and most supportive vendor you work with, while creating designs that feel impactful and true to you. We can’t wait to meet you!

“Sophie and Lauren were excellent partners in making our wedding vision come alive. We had a rough idea of what we wanted in terms of a vibe for our wedding (elegant and coastal Maine but with a colorful coastal Italian twist) but had no idea in terms of how that would translate to florals. Sophie and Lauren came to our where our ceremony and reception would be, and helped us evolve what I’d initially envisioned for flowers to something far more fit for the theme. Planning a wedding takes up an incredible amount of mental energy, and I told them to run with what I’d given them —and boy did they deliver. From initial mood boards they had pulled together, they created the most beautiful arrangements in silver chalices a family member loaned to us, a stunning flower pik floral aisle, and gorgeous simple tablescapes with varying ivory and green textures and clementines that still left plenty of room for our family style dinner. Sophie and Lauren were so excited to bring my rough vision to life and fielded plenty of questions on my end around how to create a cohesive theme (who knew choosing napkins would take up so much of my brain space?) with decisiveness and enthusiasm. We highly recommend these ladies to deliver unique and original florals for any event!”

Eastern River Farm
Rating: 5.0 (2 reviews)
  • Starts at $2,000
  • Serves Cushing, ME

We are a regenerative specialty cut flower farm in Pittston, ME, about an hour north of Portland and 20 minutes south east of Augusta. We grow, harvest and arrange all our own flowers and foliage right here on our family farm using zero harmful chemicals. We are foam-free and work with Mother Nature to provide seasonal blooms for the highest quality wedding design.

“Jennifer was a pleasure to work with from day one and you can tell she cares about the quality of her work even after it leaves her farm. She was so attentive to hearing my ideas for wedding bouquets, and was able to grow flowers specifically to meet the colors/vibes I was hoping for. I selected her a-la-cart florist services, and received bouquets, corsages/buttoners, and 2 large statement pieces for the altar. They all brought the color pallet of the wedding together in a cohesive way. I was absolutely stunned by the colors and creativity of my bridal bouquet especially. She provided clear instructions for pickup and preservation and I really feel I got the best life out of my flowers by following her instructions. As a bride conscientious of prices, I appreciated that she was willing to work within any budget without some absurd minimum order amount that I’ve seen from some wedding florists. I would recommend her as your wedding florist without hesitation!”

“From the moment we started working with Something Borrowed Blooms, their communication was effective, speedy, and extremely helpful. The quality of their work was high-end, absolutely beautiful, and extremely effective in elevating the look and feel of our wedding. Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

The custom recipes she created were incredibly helpful and gave me the perfect guidance to DIY the flowers of my dreams. Here are some pictures of my bouquet, my bridesmaids’ bouquets, and the ceremony/reception arrangements. The Faux Bouquets
Rating: 5.0 (43 reviews)
  • Serves Cushing, ME

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.

Awarded Best of Zola
“We were so delighted to use The Faux Bouquets for our wedding. We ended up having a family emergency that forced us to downsize the size and budget of the wedding just a few months before the wedding, and the team at TFB were so accommodating and helped us to find a solution that still allowed us to use their flowers in our (modified) ceremony. We were a bit concerned about the flowers getting smushed in shipping, but they arrived looking absolutely STUNNING and with plenty of time before the big day. Even my gardener of a grandma couldn't tell they weren't real flowers! We were so happy with how everything looked on the day, and in pictures they look just as lovely. Can't recommend The Faux Bouquets enough! There's no visual difference compared to real bouquets and they are much more affordable. The last big selling point that I would advise future brides, and I did not really consider this, is that because the flowers don't wilt, we could set the decor out the night before--which is a LIFESAVER to not have to worry about on the special day! Anything that will save you time and stress on the day of the wedding is a big win!”

I'm Don Clark. I run The Flower Dude, a studio wedding florist in Portland, Maine. Studio means no retail shop, and that's the point. Instead of a cooler full of roses that flew up from Miami last week, I work from three gardens in Cape Elizabeth and Kennebunk — so from June through late September, your flowers are cut the morning you get married. I arrange everything myself, then deliver and set it up: bouquets, boutonnieres, arches, reception tables, all of it. Personal and personalized.

“Don did an AMAZING job with our flowers for our wedding! He listened to all of our wants, needs, and inspirations, and brought our vision to life. We had a beautiful arch of greens for the ceremony with white flower accents, and calla lilies were peppered throughout the wedding and used for wedding party bouquets and boutonnieres. There is nothing Don and The Flower Spot can't do!! You'd be remiss if you didn't choose them for your special event.”

“It's hard to put into words how talented and wonderful Tess was to work with. When we first connected, I was immediately drawn to her vision, how collaborative it felt she was, and how she was willing to work with me on planning a less traditional wedding weekend. Aside from some very general direction, I really gave her creative freedom to do what she thought would be best, and then her first proposal exceeded anything I could've imagined so it was a no brainer to work with her. The year of working together was just as great as that first interaction—she is extremely organized and detailed, takes initiative to handle things that were able to be taken off of my plate, and is just clearly so passionate about what she does, and that is reflected in her work. During the wedding weekend, she and her team took on tasks that were outside of what they should've been handling, but did what they thought needed to be done to make my life easier and to make the vision come to life. I was so grateful to have her around for the weekend. But above all of that, the flowers were absolutely incredible. I can't tell you the number of people—both who were at the wedding and who weren't even there—that approached me or reached out to me to tell me they were the most gorgeous flowers that they had ever seen. There wasn't a single person who wasn't blown away by them, my husband and I included!! Long story short.. work with Tess. You won't be disappointed.”

The Ivy League Wedding Studio Florals
Rating: 5.0 (6 reviews)
  • Starts at $1,800
  • Serves Cushing, ME
  • Offer

I bring both professional and academic training to every arrangement. I studied fine arts at the University of Pennsylvania, an Ivy League university, and I apply that same eye for color, composition, and detail to every bouquet, centerpiece, and installation. Your florals aren't just decorations to me. They're a work of art, built specifically for your day. Wedding florals shouldn't force you to choose between beautiful and affordable. I've watched too many couples fall in love with a Pinterest board, then feel deflated by the quote that comes with it. That's not how I work.

“Working with The Ivy League Wedding Studio Florals was truly one of the easiest parts of our wedding planning experience. From our very first conversation, June was incredibly responsive, organized, and thoughtful about every detail. She took the time to understand the overall look we were going for, including the fact that peonies were really important to us, while also being mindful of our floral budget. We were honestly surprised by how well she was able to incorporate the flowers we loved while still keeping everything within the budget we had discussed. We also really wanted a beautiful floral arch for our ceremony, with lots of flowers and greenery, and June completely understood the vision. When we saw it on our wedding day, we were blown away. The arch was so full, lush, and beautifully designed, and the quality of the flowers and greenery was incredible. It looked so much more elevated and substantial than we ever expected based on what we were spending. It really became one of our favorite details from the entire wedding. When we saw all of the flowers on our wedding day, they were even more beautiful than we had imagined. Every arrangement felt intentional and fit so perfectly with the rest of our wedding. The florals added so much to the atmosphere and made the space feel incredibly special. One of the things we appreciated most was how completely everything was handled for us on the wedding day. The setup, breakdown, and cleanup were all taken care of, so we never had to worry about what was happening behind the scenes. It was such a relief to be able to focus on getting married and enjoying the day with our family and friends. We also really appreciated the transparency throughout the process. We knew our final price upfront, and there were no unexpected fees or surprises at the end. June was honest about what would work within our budget and helped us make thoughtful choices without ever making us feel like we had to sacrifice the overall look we wanted. The Ivy League Wedding Studio Florals was such a pleasure to work with, and we are so grateful they were part of our wedding day. From helping us get the peonies we really wanted to creating the full floral and greenery arch we had envisioned, everything felt so personal and thoughtfully done. The flowers were gorgeous, the entire process was seamless, and we felt genuinely taken care of from beginning to end.”

Milkweed Floral Co.

  • Serves Cushing, ME

Hi! I’m Iris, the mind, body, and soul behind Milkweed! As a lot of dad’s like to joke, my name must be a birthright into floristry. In all honesty, it really has been a constant thread throughout my life. From picking flowers in my mom’s garden, to working in a flower shop in Boston right after college, then tackling florals for my own wedding in 2021, and eventually freelancing for event florists around Maine - I fell head over heels for wedding florals!

Awarded Best of Zola
“Iris at Milkweed Design Co exceeded every expectation I had for my wedding in 2023! I love flowers and wanted a lot all over the venue, but I didn't specify know which ones I wanted. Iris created the perfect design that I was imagining but couldn't put into words myself. She suggested and constructed an elaborate show stopping floral installation on a tree welcoming guests to the venue and offering an unique backdrop for photos! The colors, textures, and attention to detail were perfection! Each arrangement completely transformed the space into something magical. It was clear how much care, creativity, and passion went into every aspect of Iris' work. Our guests couldn’t stop complimenting the flowers at the time, and to this day, it's the one thing everyone still brings up! If you’re looking for someone incredibly talented, hard-working, and thoughtful—someone who truly cares about her craft and the clients who trust her with one of the most important days of their lives—look no further!”

“From the moment we reached out to The Creative Nature Florist, the team was incredibly easy to work with. They were always prompt in their communication and had a laid-back, friendly demeanor that put us at ease throughout the planning process. The quality of their work was unbelievable - the bouquets, centerpieces, and other floral arrangements were absolutely gorgeous, with vibrant, beautiful colors that perfectly complemented our wedding theme. And the value was fantastic, as their prices were very reasonable. The team was also incredibly helpful, assisting us with set-up the night before the wedding as well as the morning of. “Working with Lorinda and her team was an absolute DREAM. My husband and I got married at Belle Mer in Newport in September and I knew I wanted beautiful and colorful arrangements - something that would really pop and would be so dreamy and different. Cue Lorinda! I cannot speak highly enough about her incredible work. From the first consultation to the final bouquet, everything was absolutely perfect. She took the time to understand our vision, offered helpful suggestions, worked within our budget and brought our floral dreams to life in the most beautiful way. The flowers were stunning — elegant, fresh, and beautifully arranged. The bouquets were exactly what I envisioned, and the arrangements at the venue were simply breathtaking. It was clear that she put so much thought and care into every detail, and it truly made our special day feel even more magical. We also did our tablescapes through her using her candles, vases, etc. All worth it! Not only were the flowers gorgeous, but the level of professionalism and attention to detail was unmatched. We received countless compliments from our guests about the flowers! Thank you Lorinda, for truly bringing our vision to life. We couldn't have done it without you!”
