“I stumbled upon Raven's Instagram during wedding planning and noticed how all of her clients looked radiant, delighted, and uniquely made up to suit each person's face. I had had a very disappointing trial run with someone else, but with no prior experience, I didn't know if that was just how professional makeup was going to feel regardless; I didn't feel like I looked like myself, and that's certainly not how I wanted to feel or look like on my special day. Once I reached out to Raven, I could tell by her warm and compassionate correspondence that this person was going to do her utmost to understand my needs/wishes. We did a trial at my home and I was immediately put at ease by her professionalism and the warmth she expressed in her emails was exactly how she was in person as well. She never judged me on my personal skincare or makeup routine and offered great insights and tips for my everyday life and in preparation for my wedding day. On my wedding day, she arrived with an assistant promptly (probably early, even!) and seeing their friendly faces eased so many of my jitters. They did my mother-in-law's makeup and hair, and I could tell by her ear-to-ear smile that she was so happy with the results. Raven's assistant even managed to put her short bob-length hair into an elegant french twist-like updo, which she never would have thought possible. Raven, once again, did her magic on my face, with even more attention to detail than the trial, and our chat during the session made me forget from time to time that I was supposed to be nervous! No surprise, I was so happy with how my makeup looked – I felt like me, but fancier and photo-ready. On top of everything, they also spruced up my husband and tidied him up before the main event as well. They mostly touched up his skin and helped him with his hair and beard, but most of all, I know he appreciated their calming and warm demeanor when he was nervous too.
