Nestled in the heart of Bakersfield, California, Founded in 2016, we have a well-staffed Glam Team comprising over 20+ makeup artists and hairstylists, we specialize in curating opulent experiences for your special day. Our hairstylists excel in Hollywood waves, boho styles, updos, and beach waves, beautiful timeless looks and everything in between. Our makeup artists master bridal, glam, natural, sun-kissed, magazine looks, airbrush, and dewy finishes for your desired appearance.

Our downtown studio offers complimentary beverages during trial sessions for your comfort.     A little more than a year before the wedding date I booked this vendor because I saw that they are the best around. I truly have no regrets in booking and ensuring that I had the best for me and my bridal party. They made this process as smooth as possible guiding me every step of the way. The customer service is top notch and they truly look out for your best interest. Do yourself a favor and make sure you book a trial. This was an amazing opportunity to discuss in person the look I was going for and be able to give feedback and changes for the big day. They were very open and welcoming of all suggestions and questions I had. The day of the event they came early and prepared. Time went by so quickly and they were very efficient in keeping to the timeline. That definitely helps when you have a big group of ladies all needing to get hair and makeup done before the photographer arrives. This made me stay calm and relaxed knowing everything was running smoothly with this vendor. On time of being efficient on the day they really took the time to make sure each of us from the bridal party felt beautiful and confident about our final look. Each look lasted well into the late night! Definitely look into inquiring ASAP for your wedding, special event, or anytime you want to be glammed up. Lastly, thank you so much to Allie for always answering all my questions, concerns, and everything in between! Can’t wait for the next special event for me to get all glammed up!

    My sister booked The Beautiful Life for us bridesmaids (and herself as the bride, of course) and was blown away with how amazing the final looks were - all five ladies of the wedding party are of different complexions, have different eye shapes and personal preferences with their makeup/hair looks and the team made sure everyone looked amazing and were comfortable with the final looks until the end of the reception (around 14 hours after the looks were completed). Tools were clean, team was so professional with adjusting for personal preferences, and the products were all top notch. I always believe that you could tell a lot about the makeup& hair teams by how clean their work areas are - and from what I could tell from the day of they are organized, cleanly, and tools and expertise were well worth what we spent! I was also lucky enough to accompany my sister (the bride) on the trial day as well for her hair and makeup and I was blown away at how much care they took into ensuring my sister was comfortable, relaxed, and beautiful. Not only were they open to feedback, but they encourage it. When my sister asked questions regarding the longevity of the makeup, among other things Allie and the team didn't just answer promptly - they also made so many suggestions and recommendations. Thank you very much for making the day even more special for my whole family and my sister's friends! I also have to add how much FUN the team was, the whole atmosphere really just set the tone for a wonderful day ahead. Can't wait to work with you all again soon!

    I had the pleasure of working with Allie Mae Perkins and her incredible glam team in May 2023 for a wedding styled shoot. Her team of talented artists glammed our model bride into a literal fashion icon. Clarissa and Selena elevated the bride’s look completely for this shoot, making my vision for the shoot come true and far exceeding my expectations. Another quality about The Beautiful Life is their fantastic communication abilities! Allie Mae was quick to respond and address my concerns far before the shoot date and even after the day was over, checking in to make sure I was happy with how everything went. I would also like to add that at this time, I was 9 months pregnant and Allie Mae and her team remained on site for the shoot the entire day and helped in any way needed, including fixing any small details, fluffing the bride’s dress, and bringing an overall positive energy to our day! I would highly recommend The Beautiful Life to every bride to be! You will be treated like royalty on your best day ever by Allie Mae and her glam squad!

    The Beautiful Life provided makeup services for me, eight bridal party members, two mothers, and two flower girls. I was exceptionally pleased with the professionalism of Allie and her team. With such a large bridal party, I was nervous that we might run behind schedule, as I had experienced in previous weddings I had participated in. The Beautiful Life, from the initial inquiry through the entire booking process, was very accommodating and worked around my schedule, considering I am a traveling nurse. On my wedding day, the entire team was set up and ready to go before we arrived, and they even finished ahead of schedule. I honestly couldn't have asked for a better makeup and hair company to be a part of my wedding day. One of my bridesmaids has already booked them for her wedding, and I highly recommend The Beautiful Life to any bride. Ashley
