Our historical 3 acre waterfront property with 2 acres of open area on the water with its views of Casco Bay and Portland Harbor, our heated 2500SF National Historic Landmark Greenwood Playhouse with our lighted water view deck, and our outdoor lighted pavilion. We have a commercial kitchen for your caterer on site, and we have an 8' x 4' gas grill. We are all volunteers of the Peaks Island Lions Club that own, operate, and maintain the site, and profits go to Island Scholarships and grants. May, June, and October are our discounted months.

The Barn on Walnut Hill is one of Maine's most sought after venues, located just 25 minutes from Portland in the lovely town of North Yarmouth. For more than a decade, the property has been setting the bar for timeless, elevated, and modern events in an elevated New England setting in the spring, summer, and fall. Walnut Hill's serene and private grounds include a forest ceremony grove, meticulously restored and climate controlled barn, ample space for tenting, and farmhouse for up to 12 overnight guests. Weddings at Walnut Hill include exclusive use of the entire property from Thursday-Sunday. This allows couples to host a ceremony and reception on site, as well as rehearsal dinner, welcome drinks, and even a farewell brunch, with no additional fees. For the first time in 2025, couples may also customize their length of stay on property through our Fête offering - this could be Friday-Sunday, or even just Saturday-Sunday depending on what you have in mind for your celebration!

We have a separate ceremony patio, a lawn ceremony option as well as a cocktail hour veranda. Ceremonies can take place on the patio, the grounds or under the trees or almost anywhere couples would like to on the property. We are an a la cart venue, which means we are a blank slate for you to create the wedding of your dreams. we offer ceremony benches a wooden arbor and a good amount of decor and lighting. Our barn uses centuries - old techniques and traditions of joining heavy timber frames with a mortise and tenon method, supported by wooden pegs and brackets. Using local woodworkers and craftsman bring the true Maine experience to our barn. While building an old style building and incorporating all of today's amenities, such as temperature controlled environment, lighting, plumbing and plenty of parking it makes the perfect place for your venue.
