We used Yvonne for our wedding florals this past October and we couldn’t be happier! She was so friendly, responsive, and had a lot of great ideas. She looked at my Pinterest board to get an idea of what I was looking for and made suggestions to make everything look amazing and serve multiple functions from ceremony to reception. She also worked within our budget. She makes sure every detail is covered from candles, votives, ribbon color, etc. My bouquet turned out absolutely gorgeous! Leah and her time were dedicated, diligent, and so creative in their work as my florist for my wedding. Leah worked really hard to give me my dream flowers within the budget I named, and we got so many compliments on the flowers and decor throughout our wedding. I particularly loved the "Design Your Bouquet" evening she put together for me and my mother/MIL that helped make my dream bouquet feel real!

Nicole is the definition of a true professional. She delivers exactly what she promises. The compliments from guests on our wedding florals were endless, and even now, people are still talking about how beautiful everything looked. If you’ve ever planned a wedding or a large-scale event, you know how overwhelming it can be. I spoke with several florists before finding Nicole, and the difference was night and day. One florist brushed me off because I didn’t know the exact flowers I wanted during our first call. Another abruptly asked (5 minutes in) if I was just using them to learn flower names before cutting me off mid-conversation. It was discouraging, to say the least. Then there was Nicole. From our very first call, I felt at ease. I wasn’t looking to spend thousands and thousands on florals, and I didn’t have a detailed list of flowers in mind—just a general vibe and some inspo photos. Nicole took the time (over an hour on our first call!) to walk me through what would fit that vision, approximately what it would cost, and how she could bring it to life. She gave me guidance with zero pressure, and that genuine care and clarity made her the first vendor I signed after booking my venue. What impressed me most was how she respected my vision. I only wanted simple bud vases and understated elegance, and instead of pushing me to spend more or upsell me, she embraced my ideas wholeheartedly and executed them perfectly. On top of that, her delivery and set-up pricing was incredibly reasonable, and worth every penny. (Trust me—you don’t want your friends or family worrying about logistics on the morning of your wedding. Let Nicole handle it.) I would hire her again in a heartbeat. If you want a florist who is kind, professional, transparent, and talented—look no further than Nicole.

Working with Jessica and the team at Anemone was one of the highlights of our wedding planning process. From the very beginning, Jessica fully understood our vision (despite me knowing nothing about flowers). We wanted a timeless look with white florals and lush greenery, and she brought it to life perfectly. Every detail was stunning, from the elegant bouquets to the show-stopping hanging installation for our ceremony/dance floor that absolutely took our breath away. Not only did everything look gorgeous, but Jessica also worked within our budget without compromising our vision, a rare and much-appreciated balance. Beyond the beauty, it meant so much to us that Anemone is a sustainable vendor. Jessica helped us compost and donate our flowers after the event, which made the whole experience feel even more meaningful. We’re so grateful to Jessica and her team for helping make our day feel (and look!) so special. If you’re a Chicago couple looking for a talented, kind, and eco-conscious florist — look no further than Anemone.

          New Mood Floral + Styling
          Rating: 5.0 (1 review)
          Chicago, IL
          • Starts at $6,000
          • Offer

Founded in 2019 by floral designer Caulyn Pressnell, New Mood Floral is a Chicago-based studio rooted in emotion, intuition, and thoughtful detail. Originally from Tennessee, Caulyn brings a love for small moments, subtle textures, and the quiet beauty found in imperfection to every design. Working with flowers has become a way for her to reconnect with herself, resulting in arrangements that feel honest, expressive, and deeply intentional. Her approach is warm and low stress, creating a collaborative experience where clients feel supported and at ease from start to finish.

I had a very particular vision for my wedding and the most important thing to me was the flowers. I'd seen Caulyn's work on Instagram prior to getting engaged and reached out probably the day after the proposal. She INSTANTLY understood the vision. She communicated clearly and immediately, answered every nit-picky and frequent question I had with kindness and was INDESCRIBABLY helpful on the day. The flowers were equally as indescribably beautiful and was the highlight of the day (aside from getting married, obviously). Weddings are stressful and among the many vendors you hire for the day, not all of them take the time and effort to prepare or work to understand your vision. Caulyn does and I could not recommend her enough.

Nancy Krause Floral Design & Garden Antiques
          Chicago, IL

About Nancy: A fashion photographer with a studio in downtown Chicago and a degree from the Art Institute, Nancy fell in love and refused to move to New York to pursue a career. Instead, she opened two flower shops in downtown Chicago: one in the Congress Hotel, the other in Institute Place, focusing her artistic eye on creating beautiful floral designs. The economy changed. She closed the shops. And for the past fourteen years, she worked in the restaurant industry – first as part of the opening team for Chicago’s House of Blues, and then as an executive with Rosebud Restaurants. But she always kept her hands in floral design, doing private parties, dinners and seasonal decorating for clients on the Chicago’s Gold Coast and North Shore.Four years ago, she realized she needed to open another flower shop.
