She closed the shops. And for the past fourteen years, she worked in the restaurant industry – first as part of the opening team for Chicago’s House of Blues, and then as an executive with Rosebud Restaurants. But she always kept her hands in floral design, doing private parties, dinners and seasonal decorating for clients on the Chicago’s Gold Coast and North Shore.Four years ago, she realized she needed to open another flower shop.

She became my reason to purchase flowers. We got married in 2016 and she then became my reason to arrange flowers. In 2017, I grew bold enough to share an arrangement on Instagram. In 2020, we grew cut flowers in two Evanston yards. The hope was to sell weekly bouquets to our neighbors, with all proceeds going to Connections for the Homeless. The endeavor was a success and we had a great season. We then expanded to a vacant lot on Gross Point Rd. An abundance of sun and soil remediation has made the lot healthy and productive, and added beauty to a very busy corner. We offer subscriptions, workshops, and event florals.
