Owner

Founded in 2019 by floral designer Caulyn Pressnell, New Mood Floral is a Chicago-based studio rooted in emotion, intuition, and thoughtful detail. Originally from Tennessee, Caulyn brings a love for small moments, subtle textures, and the quiet beauty found in imperfection to every design. Working with flowers has become a way for her to reconnect with herself, resulting in arrangements that feel honest, expressive, and deeply intentional. Her approach is warm and low stress, creating a collaborative experience where clients feel supported and at ease from start to finish.

New Mood loves the challenge of creating pieces that can spark interest and make the viewer stop for a moment to observe, or even be inspired. Flower art is fleeting, but the way floral design contributes to a space, an event, and ultimately the way it makes a person feel is what lasts.

    I had a very particular vision for my wedding and the most important thing to me was the flowers. I'd seen Caulyn's work on Instagram prior to getting engaged and reached out probably the day after the proposal. She INSTANTLY understood the vision. She communicated clearly and immediately, answered every nit-picky and frequent question I had with kindness and was INDESCRIBABLY helpful on the day. The flowers were equally as indescribably beautiful and was the highlight of the day (aside from getting married, obviously). Weddings are stressful and among the many vendors you hire for the day, not all of them take the time and effort to prepare or work to understand your vision. Caulyn does and I could not recommend her enough.
