I am a self-taught home baker and proud mother of one. My journey began as a paralegal, but everything changed when I baked and decorated my first cake in 2014 for Ella's 4th birthday. I wanted to create a memorable experience for her party, and little did I know it would ignite a deep passion within me. Soon I found myself baking for friends & family. Before I knew it, I had developed a substantial customer base. Over the years, I have come to realize that baking is a pure and simple expression of love and joy for others. In January 2020, I made the bold decision to follow my passion and pursue my dreams in the world of baking.

Molly’s Cupcakes opened in 2007 in the heart of Lincoln Park, Chicago. Within 2 years of being open, we won the Food Network Competition Cupcake Wars! This love of cupcakes started when the founder was just in third grade. Molly was his third grade teacher, and whenever there was a special occasion, she would make her special recipe cupcakes for her students. As John grew older, Molly’s care for her students never left his mind. He decided to open Molly’s Cupcakes in her memory.
