The Mazant

5.0

  • Up to 200 guests
  • Select services
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $4,000

Built in the 1880s, The Mazant is a beautifully restored historic mansion with over 5,000 sq ft of indoor and outdoor event space surrounded by lush gardens. Located in the heart of New Orleans’ Bywater Arts District—just 1.5 miles from the French Quarter—it’s close to Bacchanal, The Joint, The Country Club, Elizabeth’s, and The Music Box Village. With its romantic architecture, spacious courtyards, and vibrant neighborhood setting, The Mazant is an unforgettable venue for weddings, celebrations, and gatherings with family and friends.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Historic touches
  • Lush gardens
  • Has onsite accommodations

Venue considerations

  • Couple must handle cleanup and setup
  • No in-house lighting and sound packages available
  • Best for events with big guest lists
We had an incredible wedding weekend at the Mazant this past March. Everything about the place was beautiful, and our overall experience met all of our needs and exceeded all of our expectations. We had booked the Mazant sight unseen based upon a recommendation from our wedding planner, who had herself gotten married there. We weren't exactly sure how it would be in real life, and we are beyond grateful for her recommendation and that we took the leap! We rented the whole place for ourselves and for some of our wedding party to sleep there. We had 18 people (all adults with a mix of couples and friends) staying there, and it never felt crowded. Each room is beautifully and thoughtfully decorated. The kitchen and overall common space layout is delightful and so well designed. They have everything you might need for large events (LOTS of fridge space). The pool and hot tub and outdoor seating areas are divine. On Friday night we hosted our welcome event (160 people) in the yard, and it was exactly what we envisioned. On Saturday we had our ceremony (170) in the yard, and it was also perfect. We had enough room for most people to sit, and about 20-30 standing in the back. We then second lined from the Mazant to our reception location. Interacting with Jeff the owner and Kevin the house manager was great - they were both super helpful, responsive, and organized. We are already talking about coming back and renting this space for friend or family trips!

The venue itself is truly stunning - a large, spacious, and beautifully appointed space with full amenities that made our day feel so special. The garden was lush, and everything was in bloom (we had a May wedding). We didn't have to worry about anything, as the NOCCA Foundation team worked seamlessly behind the scenes to ensure our wedding went off without a hitch. We are so grateful to have celebrated our special day in such a gorgeous, well-equipped setting with a team that went above and beyond to make it truly unforgettable!

Awarded Best of Zola
Look no further than Paradigm Gardens for the unforgettable, joyful, vibrant, delicious and thoughtful wedding or celebration that you've always imagined! We had always admired the space for its lush, colorful, genuine energy, but we had no idea how special and personal the experience would be when we reached out to inquire about having our wedding in the garden. Starting at the beginning, Karen was so available and personable which made it possible for us to talk through our needs and hopes and find a solution that would work for our budget and vison. From that point, we felt extremely supported throughout the year leading up to our wedding with prompt answers whenever we had questions, phone calls to discuss any idea we had to see how we could make it work in the garden, and a menu tasting that was so much fun and SO delicious! One major point to any prospective couple, the food is SPECTACULAR! Made on the outdoor grill and brick oven, the culinary experience is a feast for every sense and seriously something our guests (and we) are still talking about! With rain in the forecast as our wedding approached, Karen and Sarah made sure every detail was thought of to ease our nerves, and we had a perfect rain plan that was stunning and perfect! The Paradigm team thinks of every detail so that you can create the day of your dreams. The garden flowers and foliage w ere just divine, the layout was thought out perfectly for our group size, the food was prepared and served without us having to think about a thing and we could just soak in our amazing family and friends, and the love and joy around us! The staff were such a delight and so kind and helpful throughout the evening! We had an absolute BLAST and will remember every second of the perfect day to start our next chapter together. Paradigm is the best decision we made aside from marrying each other!
